Peter Jackson has been taking some time off for the past year and a half since his last effort,
The Hobbit:
The Battle of the
Five Armies, with zero news about what the Oscar-winning director will be doing for his next project. Now, thanks to a report from
New Zealand’s Time Out Magazine, we have some answers. Speaking with
Steven Spielberg about
The BFG, the director revealed that
The Adventures of Tintin 2 is still alive, with
Jackson working on the script along with a secret project for the filmmaker’s
Amblin Entertainment. There’s no word yet on a release for Tintin 2 or when we can expect the secret Amblin project Spielberg mentions.

Over the past few months, news has been slowly rolling out about
Pacific Rim 2. We know that
Daredevil:
Season 1 showrunner
Steven S. DeKnight would be taking over directing duties from
Guillermo del Toro with
Jurassic World co-writer
Derek Connolly penning the script. And a few weeks back, we learned that
John Boyega had been cast in the lead role as
Idris Elba’s
Stacker Pentecost’s son. Now, add a release date on to the news.
Yesterday,
Universal and
Legendary Pictures announced that Pacific Rim 2 will open on
February 23, 2018.
2 new trailers were released for Bad Moms, one green band, and one red band. The R rated comedy features the principal trio of
Mila Kunis,
Kristen Bell and
Kathryn Hahn alongside
Christina Applegate,
Jada Pinkett Smith and
Annie Mumolo. Bad Moms is about Amy and her seemingly perfect life, great marriage, over-achieving kids, and beautiful home and career. However, she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the
point that she’s about to snap.
Hollywood has been trying to adapt
Stephen King’s massive horror novel IT for the big screen for some time. Through the process,
True Detective filmmaker
Cary Fukunaga was originally attached to direct but left over creative differences before
Mama director
Andy Muschietti took over. The two-film
adaptation is now moving forward with the first movie beginning principle photography. Muschietti announced the start of filming taking to his Instagram to share some behind the scenes shots including a sketch of what
Pennywise might look like in the movie.
Deadline is reporting that
Paramount Pictures has picked up the rights to the book series
Clifford the Big Red Dog from Universal and is now developing the film as a live-action/CG
Hybrid film.
Justin Malen, who wrote the script for the upcoming
Baywatch movie, will pen the script.
Vinnie Jones took to Twitter announcing he’d be reuniting with his
Snatch and
Lock, Stock and Two
Smoking Barrels producer now director
Matthew Vaughn in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. On Twitter, Jones posted a pair of videos from the set of the film holding up the day’s newspapers to show fans he’s telling the truth and later, posted photos of himself in costume next to
Vaughn and his new co-star
Julianne Moore.
