Belladonna is an Italian Rock noir band.
Belladonna was formed on February 14, 2005 in Rome, Italy by Luana Caraffa and Dani Macchi after forming "a songwriting partnership". During the course of the following months Belladonna wrote and recorded many songs, eleven of which would become their first full album: Metaphysical Attraction. Within months of creating a MySpace account in 2005, Belladonna became the most played Italian band on MySpace next to Lacuna Coil.
As Belladonna's celebrity status grew in 2006, they were interviewed by major media outlets such as GQ. Glamour magazine did a two-page photo spread on the band and their MySpace fame. In early 2007 National Italian television La7 resounded Belladonna's web popularity in a news story that described them as "the most listened to Italian band on MySpace".
In August 2007, Belladonna released the music video of Mystical Elysian Love which was filmed on location in Berlin, Germany. The video reached #73 on the worldwide YouTube most watched music videos chart on the same day it was released. In November 2007 Belladonna was the headliner musical act for the Erotica 07 event at The Grand Hall, Olympia in London. Sharing the stage with Belladonna at Erotica 07 was burlesque artist Dita Von Teese, Marilyn Manson's former wife. The attendance of the Erotica 07 event was estimated at over 100,000 people.
Belladonna is the second book in Anne Bishop's Landscapes of Ephemera. Following Sebastian, Belladonna continues the story of the battle between the Light and Dark of Ephemera, and Glorianna Belladonna's struggle to destroy, or cage the Eater of the World before it can convert the worlds into a massive playground to use for its own dark purposes. Belladonna also introduces into the duology Michael, a wandering musician who seeks the answer to the riddle that has been haunting his dreams, and whose arrival into the lives of all the original characters has catastrophic and far-reaching consequences for everyone.
Book ends with Belladonna making herself even more evil than the Eater of the World inside of the school that she had been kicked out of in the events of Sebastian. She traps the Eater of the World and somehow Michael finds a way to bring her back to the world.
Bella Donna or Belladonna (from the Italian phrase "bella donna", or "beautiful woman") is a name or alias used by two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. One of these characters is Bella Donna Boudreaux, commonly associated with the X-Man Gambit.
Belladonna (Narda Ravanna) is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics Universe.
She first appeared in The Spectacular Spider-Man #43 (June, 1980). She was created by Roger Stern and Mike Zeck. The character also appeared in Spectacular Spider-Man #47 and 48 (October–November 1980).
Belladonna received an entry in the original Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #2.
Narda Ravanna was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a chemist and former co-owner of Vaughn-Pope Cosmetics with her sister, Desiree Vaughan-Pope. When they refuse to sell their company to billionaire and fashion designer Roderick Kingsley, he used the media to smear their products and ruin their career. Narda entered New York and took the identity of Belladonna to gain vengeance, wielding a gun that fired neo-atropine gas for knocking out foes. She gathered a team of criminal allies, and incurred the wrath of the Prowler. Her assault on Kingsley was interrupted by Spider-Man, who handed her, her gang and Prowler over to the police.
Rising is the eleventh studio album by the American hard rock band Great White, released in 2009. It was recorded in the winter of 2008 with completion in early 2009. Rising was mixed, produced, and engineered by Michael Lardie with all members of the group contributing to the final mix. This is the final album with long-time singer Jack Russell before the split that led to the creation of his own-fronted version of the band.
The European and Japanese releases add a Rolling Stones cover as track 12.
Rising is a 1996 album by avant-garde artist Yoko Ono. Released on 18 January, on Capitol Records, it features the backing band IMA (Japanese for "Now"), which included Ono's son Sean Lennon, Timo Ellis, and Sam Koppelman. The album has sold 11,000 copies in the US to date.
All songs written by Yoko Ono.
Keiji Haino, Masonna, Monde Bruits, Incapacitants, C.C.C.C., Hanatarash, MSBR, and The Gerogerigegege are also credited as performers in the "Rising" (Thurston Moore) remix.
Rising is the third album by Atlanta rap metal group Stuck Mojo. Unlike the previous two, this album found considerable mainstream success, most likely due to the music video for the song "Rising", which featured members of WCW Diamond Dallas Page, Raven and The Flock. This video received considerable airplay as well as being played on WCW Monday Nitro. The WCW United States Championship belt is pictured on the cover.
Rising sold over 3 million copies, becoming Century Media's highest selling album until 2004, when Lacuna Coil's album Comalies broke that record. This album features a slightly larger lean towards hip hop, a notable exception after the aggressive Pigwalk album.
Stagg Street Studio, L.A., Fall 2010. BELLADONNA's Dani Macchi plays an impromptu, totally improvised distorted guitar piece. It comes out so eerie, intense and magically unique that it ends up being released as "Phosphorus Rising" on the BELLADONNA "And There Was Light" album. Grammy-nominated producer Alex Elena was on the studio floor with his camera and captured this very special moment in the short video above.
BELLADONNA playing a totally rearranged version of their "Morning Star Blues" song, which includes - from 3:39 till 8:04 - an extended improvised section where the band freely jams. Live @London's legendary Borderline, 26th of February 2014. Video by Fabio Vecchi.
