Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan (IPA: [əmɪˈtaːbʱ ˈbəttʃən]; born 11 October 1942) is an Indian film actor. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s for movies like Zanjeer and Deewar, and was dubbed India's first "angry young man" for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Often referred to in the media as the "Shahenshah of Bollywood", "Star of the Millennium" or "Big B", he has since appeared in over 180 Indian films in a career spanning more than four decades. Bachchan is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. So total was his dominance of the movie scene in the 1970s and 1980s that the French director François Truffaut called him a "one-man industry."

Bachchan has won numerous accolades in his career, including three National Film Awards as Best Actor and many awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies. He has won 15 Filmfare Awards and is the most-nominated performer in any major acting category at Filmfare, with 40 nominations overall. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, film producer and television presenter. He also had a stint in politics in the 1980s.

Akshara Haasan

Akshara Haasan (born 12 October 1991) is an Indian film actress, screenwriter, assistant director,dancer who works primarily in Bollywood. Haasan was tipped to be launched by Mani Ratnam in his romantic tale Kadal opposite Gautham Karthik. She has also refused several other offers before accepting R. Balki's film Shamitabh along with Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush.

Early life

Akshara Haasan was born on 12 October 1991 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Her father is a Tamil Brahmin while her mother is a half Marathi and half Rajput.Shruti Haasan is her elder sister.Akshara did her schooling years in Abacus Montessori school, Lady Andal (in chennai, Beacon High in Mumbai and completed her schooling in Indus International School (Bangalore).

Career

Haasan has worked as an assistant director to Rahul Dholakia on the 2010 film Society starring her mother Sarika, as well as Ram Moorthy, Uzer Khan, E. Niwas, Ruchi Narain on my many AD films in Mumbai. During her stint as an assistant director, she rejected opportunities to feature as an actress, notably turning down an offer to work in Mani Ratnam's Kadal.

Shamitabh

Shamitabh is a 2015 Indian comedy-drama film written and directed by R. Balki. The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan, in her debut, in the lead roles. The film is jointly produced by Sunil Lulla, Balki, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, R. K. Damani, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sunil Manchanda and Dhanush under their respective production banners. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack album and background score, while cinematography was handled by P. C. Sreeram. The film released to positive reviews with critics praising Dhanush and Amitabh's performances.

Plot

Daanish (Dhanush), born mute in rural Igatpuri, loves films. He acts out scenes before his class, amazing his peers and teacher, and spends all his time in the local Paradise theatre. He even tries to board a Mumbai bus to go become a film star but is pulled off by his mother's friends. When he grows up, Daanish brings pakodas to the local video-store owner and watches films every day. His mother feigns illness and keeps him from going to Mumbai but when she dies, Daanish leaves for Mumbai.

Sha Sha

Sha Sha is the debut album by American indie rock singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and former Radish member Ben Kweller. The album was originally composed of outtakes from sessions for Radish's unreleased album Discount Fireworks. It was self-released by Kweller, via CD-R, in 2000. In 2002, ATO Records released a second version of the album with a radically different track listing featuring many new recordings and songs.

Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan (born 5 February 1976) is an Indian film actor, producer and playback singer best known for his work in Hindi films. He is the son of veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He made his film debut in the war drama Refugee (2000), which did not do very well at the box office, but earned him appreciation from critics. For the next few years, Bachchan starred in a series of unsuccessful films that failed to propel his career forward. Bachchan then established himself as a leading actor of Hindi cinema with the blockbuster action thriller Dhoom (2004).

Since then, he has starred in several successful films, including Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Dhoom 2 (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008) and Bol Bachchan (2012). He has also featured in Dhoom 3 (2013) and Happy New Year (2014), which both rank among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. In addition to three consecutive Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his critically acclaimed performances in Yuva (2004), Sarkar (2005), and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Bachchan has garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi for producing the family dramedy Paa (2009). Since 2007, Bachchan has been married to actress Aishwarya Rai and they have one daughter born in 2011.
