This is Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x86 running in VmWare Workstation 10. Server 2003 is based from Windows XP, only it is geared for servers and professional use. This is the same as Windows XP x64, only it is more designed for server computers. It can easily be converted into a nice workstation OS though, and is far more stable than standard Windows XP x86

Today, exactly one year after Windows XP support was cancelled, we are going to be taking a look at Windows Server 2003, and how to install it in a VM, or on a real server. Windows Server 2003 was the server version of Windows that was based on Windows XP, and would later become the base for developing Windows Vista. The R2 release came out a few years later in 2005. It includes some enhancements, as well as a few new features.

Today I'm following on from a previous video in completing our domain controller upgrades to 2012R2. As it stands there are two DCs in the enterprise, one is running 2012R2 (shown in the previous server changes video) and one running 2003 32bit.
This video shows how I re-installed the second DC to Server 2012R2 and configured it to be a domain controller successfully.
This server now replicated from the domain master (server 2012)
Please remember to demote a domain controller before re-installing it. If you don't remember to do this it isn't the end of the world but can make things harder for you later on. (Speaking from experience in a previous video.)

This is the same as Windows XP x64, only it is more designed for server computers. It can easily be converted into a nice workstation OS though, and is far more stable than standard Windows XP x86

Today, exactly one year after Windows XP support was cancelled, we are going to be taking a look at Windows Server 2003, and how to install it in a VM, or on a real server. Windows Server 2003 was the server version of Windows that was based on Windows XP, and would later become the base for developing Windows Vista. The R2 release came out a few years later in 2005. It includes some enhancements, as well as a few new features.

Today I'm following on from a previous video in completing our domain controller upgrades to 2012R2. As it stands there are two DCs in the enterprise, one is running 2012R2 (shown in the previous server changes video) and one running 2003 32bit.
This video shows how I re-installed the second DC to Server 2012R2 and configured it to be a domain controller successfully.
This server now replicated from the domain master (server 2012)
Please remember to demote a domain controller before re-installing it. If you don't remember to do this it isn't the end of the world but can make things harder for you later on. (Speaking from experience in a previous video.)
