The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar has brewed up a second venue - and it's not just a carbon copy of the Redfern original.

Sure, the new Barangaroo outpost serves matcha granola ($6.50), Turkish delight lattes (from $4), black tea relish with its ploughman's roast beef sandwich ($11.80) and other favourites from Rabbit Hole menu, but there's also a planned tiramisu brew, more quick tea options for workers-on-the-go, plus extra "dirty" (coffee-charged) lattes and a time-poor-friendly selection of sandwiches, salads and other loose-leaf-steeped eats - like a takeaway breakfast box that cutely houses a tea-marbled egg, Pepe Saya butter, ham, tomato and panini in a mini cardboard egg carton.

The tiramisu tea is a special limited-edition flavour you can sample while owner Corinne Smith is working on the pre-production run.

"It definitely fits into the creamy pile and is the first one of our blends to incorporate real coffee beans," she says.

"It has an intense caffeine hit and is sweetened naturally with chamomile which you wouldn't expect to work, but is a cracker at getting the right flavour balance. We'll be offering up our signature tea sodas on tap as well as bottled and ready-to-go sodas and iced lattes for those in a rush," she says.

"We will also be sharing our Instagram darling, the lavender shortbread with edible petals amongst some of our other renowned sweet treats."

Designer Matt Woods - who produced the original Redfern cafe's wonderland-like feel (and tracked down Valeria Burgoa, the Chilean artist who happily fashioned a chandelier from thousands of teabags on the site) - can take credit for another picturebook-like backdrop for sipping Choc Orange Fudge, Lime Pie, Ruby Zing and other teas from Rabbit Hole's own range. You can also score a sweet from the pastry counter, "which will be a 'drawer' displaying pastries the same way you would usually expect expensive jewellery to be displayed", says Smith.

And there will also be displays for tea wares (as well as Rabbit Hole's loose-leaf selection) if you want to up your tea-serving game at home. But Rabbit Hole makes a pretty good case for inspiring you to settle down with a "dirty" chai (from $6.50), on-tap tea soda ($7) or matcha honey and butter on toast ($5).
