An audio letter sent by my grandfather, James Logan, to his parents. After his brother Samuel was drafted, James enlisted in the army and was assigned as an artillery spotter, despite being blind in one eye. He served in the Philippines theater. Special thanks to Mass Productions for restoring the audio.
Here is my own version/rendition of the classic Bluegrass number, Bluegrass Breakdown! I combine elements of progressive and modified traditional picking to create an entirely new break (my own!) for the tune, which is broken down in great detail. Each element is given great attention as this is a new take on an old classic. Comments and questions are welcome!
