The Allegan County Farm Bureau Promotion & Education Committee (P&E;) has partnered with the Hopkins FFA for the past three years to bring Project R.E.D. (Rural Education Day) to multiple elementary schools in Allegan County.
The event focuses on bringing a touch of agriculture to students of the Hopkins School District. Hopkins and Sycamore Elementary schools of Dorr hosted the informative, hands-on event for students in Young 5, kindergarten, and 1st grade.
In total, about 225 students enjoyed presentations on bees, rabbits, dairy cattle, sheep, poultry, and goats. Each student also received a gift bag courtesy of the Allegan County Farm Bureau with fun and informative materials about agriculture.
The Allegan County Farm Bureau and P&E; Committee are proud of their relationship with the Hopkins FFA and look forward to more opportunities to share the story of farming. To get involved in events like this, contact your local county Farm Bureau.

Education Bureau
The Education Bureau (Chinese: 教育局; Jyutping: gaau3 yuk6 guk6; abbr. EDB) is responsible for education policies in Hong Kong.
The bureau is headed by the Secretary for Education and oversees the Secretariat, University Grants Committee and Student Financial Assistance Agencies.
History
The Education Department (Chinese: 教育署 and 教育司署 before 1983) was responsible for education matters in the territory, with the exception of post-secondary and tertiary education. In 2003, the department was abolished and a new bureau, the Education and Manpower Bureau (Chinese: 教育統籌局 abbreviated EMB) was formed. In July 2007, the manpower portfolio was transferred to the new Labour and Welfare Bureau by newly re-elected Chief Executive Donald Tsang.
The bureau was formerly housed at the Former French Mission Building.

The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (Bureau) will be hosting a stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 1:30 pm in Sacramento. The meeting will cover several areas for upcoming regulation proposals. General subjects will include Application Processing, including a review of all the different application types as well as the materials required by the application; and Minimum Operating Standards, to include distance education and administrative capabilities.
This is a public meeting and everyone is encouraged to attend. The intent is to gather input from the many various stakeholders through an open discussion of ideas, suggestions, and concerns regarding these particular areas. Through the involvement of all, the Bureau aspires to promulgate regulations which adequately and reasonably address the many concerns without being overly burdensome and onerous.
