As some fans may be aware, long serving UK narrator Michael Angelis was originally set to voice Percy and James in Thomas & The Magic Railroad. Not long before release, he was replaced when test audiences suggested he made the characters sound too old.
I thought it would be fun to see how Mr. Angelis would have sounded alongside the other voice actors, so here I've dubbed James lines from various TV episodes into this clip to make a coherent scene.

As some fans may be aware, long serving UK narrator Michael Angelis was originally set to voice Percy and James in Thomas & The Magic Railroad. Not long before release, he was replaced when test audiences suggested he made the characters sound too old.
I thought it would be fun to see how Mr. Angelis would have sounded alongside the other voice actors, so here I've dubbed Percy lines from various TV episodes into this clip to make a coherent scene.

Michael Angelis
Michael Angelis (born 18 January 1952) is an English actor and voice actor. He is the younger brother of fellow actor Paul Angelis.
Career
Angelis trained at the College of Dramatic Art, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow, where, inter alia, he played roles in Brendan Behan's The Hostage and The Zykovs by Maxim Gorky. He was featured in Boys from the Black Stuff (1982) and G.B.H..
Angelis appeared in comedies such as The Liver Birds (1975–78) and Luv (1993–94), and films such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square (1979) and No Surrender (1985). In 1983, he appeared at the Manchester Royal Exchange in Harold Pinter's 'The Caretaker'. He was a villain in the revived television series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (2002), alongside former fellow Black Stuff star Alan Igbon. He narrated the Thomas & Friends TV series (UK version) from 1991 to 2012, when he took over from Ringo Starr.
He narrated John Peel's autobiography, Margrave of the Marshes, which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 2005. In 2006, he starred in Fated, a film set in Liverpool, as well as in episodes of Midsomer Murders and The Bill in 2007. In September 2011, he participated in the BBC Radio 4 programme The Reunion talking with others cast members about his roles in the Boys from the Blackstuff.

Thomas and the Magic Railroad
Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a 2000 British-American-Canadian adventure fantasy film based on the British TV series Thomas & Friends, The Railway Series by the Rev. W. Awdry, and the American TV series Shining Time Station. The film was co-produced by Gullane Entertainment (a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel since 2012) and the Isle of Man Film Commission and distributed by Destination Films (a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment). It was written, produced and directed by Britt Allcroft. When it was first released in the U.K. where critics were unfamiliar with the characters from Shining Time Station, the film was accused of "Americanizing" Thomas. Critical reception in the U.S. was somewhat better, but still mostly negative, in stark contrast to the praise given to the original Shining Time Station, which was an award-winning show. Since the film's release, various specials based on Thomas & Friends have been released, although they are not directly related to this film. This is Mara Wilson's final film appearance to date.

Angelis
Angelis was a British classical singing group created by Simon Cowell. It was initially formed in early 2006 and was made up of six children, who were then aged between 11 and 14. The children were discovered during nationwide auditions led by Ron Corp and from recommendations and contacts with some UK choirs, including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and New London Children's Choir.
Their eponymous debut album was released on 6 November 2006. It sold over 350,000 copies and reached platinum status reaching number two on the UK album charts and Number one on the Scottish album charts. The group members received a platinum disc on GMTV. In early 2007 Simon Cowell fired the six children partly as a result of complications with a planned overseas tour.

Tank locomotive
A tank locomotive or tank engine is a steam locomotive that carries its water in one or more on-board water tanks, instead of a more traditional tender. A tank engine may also have a bunker (or oil tank) to hold fuel. There are several different types of tank locomotive, distinguished by the position and style of the water tanks and fuel bunkers. The most common type has tanks mounted either side of the boiler. This type originated about 1840 and quickly became popular for industrial tasks, and later for shunting and shorter distance main line duties. Tank locomotives have advantages and disadvantages compared to traditional tender locomotives.
Origins
The first tank locomotive was the Novelty that ran at the Rainhill Trials in 1829. It was an example of a Well Tank. However, the more common form of Side tank date from the 1840s; one of the first of these was supplied by George England and Co. of New Cross to the contractors building the Newhaven, Sussex branch line for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway in 1848. In spite of the early belief that such locomotives were inherently unsafe, the idea quickly caught on, particularly for industrial use and five manufacturers exhibited designs at The Great Exhibition in 1851. These were E. B. Wilson and Company, William Fairbairn & Sons, George England, Kitson Thompson and Hewitson and William Bridges Adams. By the mid-1850s tank locomotives were to be found performing a variety of main line and industrial roles, particularly those involving shorter journeys or frequent changes in direction.
