So what is a style guide? A style guide is a guide made by designers, usually for either other designers or other people within an organization to know how to use the assets that have been designed for that company. In which case, now we'll take a look at Skype's branding guideline.
So, a guideline or a branding guideline, also known as a style guide, also known as an asset guideline. There's so many different names that it has, but what it does is it actually tells a story. It tells you how the logo came about, how to use their logo, what not to use their logo on.
So, for this one, Skype says the dos and the don'ts, where don't put red behind it because there's no red in the Skype logo. Or don't change the orientation. Don't put a drop shadow. It also tells you what typefaces they use. They use different ones like Arial, Tahoma and on Mac they use Helvetica and Lucida Grande and then they also tell you which colors that they also use as well.
A style guide is important because it helps keep your brand consistent. It lets your customers know that you care and it lets your designers know also that you care about the work that you've done for them. That means not stretching their logo or not putting it against like, a flashing background, or not using the colors that were specifically chosen for your organization from your branding strategies.
Style guides are really important because sometimes the same designer won't remain on for the project and the new designer needs to know how to treat certain things or where to find the files to do certain things that the website may need.
It's important to include a style guide in your design because it shows that you're thinking ahead, and it shows that you have really put like, the thought and the care that goes into branding a company and making sure that you not only explain it, but respect it.

This guide is meant to take total beginners in male fashion and make them competent enough in mens style to have effortless style every time they leave the house.
In this video I take the Pareto's 80/20 principle and apply it to men’s style. I’m wholly focussed on giving you the 20% key information you need to know that will provide you with 80% of everything you will ever need to know about men’s Style.
Mens fashion 2015 doesn't need to be complicated. If you follow the time tested 6 rules of mens style you will have effortless style every time you leave the house. Also the same rules apply whether you are considering mens winter fashion or mens summer fashion. Some more good new is you don’t necessarily have to buy mens designer clothing to have genuine style.
This is my first men’s fashion video and attempt at being a men’s fashion vlogger so leave me some feedback in the comments section. Let me know what you think.

A style guide or style manual is a set of standards for the writing and design of documents, either for general use or for a specific publication, organization or field. The implementation of a style guide provides uniformity in style and formatting of a document.
A set of standards for a specific organization is often known as "house style." Style guides are common for general and specialized use, for the general reading and writing audience, and for students and scholars of various academic disciplines, medicine, journalism, the law, government, business, and industry.[citation needed]

So what is a style guide? A style guide is a guide made by designers, usually for either other designers or other people within an organization to know how to use the assets that have been designed for that company. In which case, now we'll take a look at Skype's branding guideline.
So, a guideline or a branding guideline, also known as a style guide, also known as an asset guideline. There's so many different names that it has, but what it does is it actually tells a story. It tells you how the logo came about, how to use their logo, what not to use their logo on.
So, for this one, Skype says the dos and the don'ts, where don't put red behind it because there's no red in the Skype logo. Or don't change the orientation. Don't put a drop shadow. It also tells you what typefaces they use. They use different ones like Arial, Tahoma and on Mac they use Helvetica and Lucida Grande and then they also tell you which colors that they also use as well.
A style guide is important because it helps keep your brand consistent. It lets your customers know that you care and it lets your designers know also that you care about the work that you've done for them. That means not stretching their logo or not putting it against like, a flashing background, or not using the colors that were specifically chosen for your organization from your branding strategies.
Style guides are really important because sometimes the same designer won't remain on for the project and the new designer needs to know how to treat certain things or where to find the files to do certain things that the website may need.

This mens style guide will teach you everything you need to know about men's fashion.
This guide is meant to take total beginners in male fashion and make them competent enough in mens style to have effortless style every time they leave the house.
In this video I take the Pareto's 80/20 principle and apply it to men’s style. I’m wholly focussed on giving you the 20% key information you need to know that will provide you with 80% of everything you will ever need to know about men’s Style.
Mens fashion 2015 doesn't need to be complicated. If you follow the time tested 6 rules of mens style you will have effortless style every time you leave the house. Also the same rules apply whether you are considering mens winter fashion or mens summer fashion. Some more good new is you don’t necessarily have to buy mens designer clothing to have genuine style.

Oft soll die Gestaltung eines UI an den Corporate Identity Vorgaben des entwickelnden Unternehmens ausgerichtet sein. Das UI soll sich dem Nutzer gegenüber zudem produktübergreifend konsistent präsentieren. Im Gegensatz dazu darf das Design jedoch auch nicht mit den User Experience Guidelines der anvisierten Zielplattformen in Konflikt stehen (also beispielsweise Android, iOS oder Windows 8).
Um eine angenehme und harmonische User Experience auch vor dem Hintergrund eines kosten-effizienten Entwicklungsprozess zu ermöglichen, kann es vorteilhaft sein, einen Baukasten zu etablieren, mit dem selbst ein wenig design-affiner Entwickler ästhetische und intuitive Screens zusammenfügen kann. In einem solchen Szenario trifft ein UI Entwickler also mancherlei „Design-Entscheidung“ eigenständig, ohne dabei bei jeder Detailfrage auf die die direkte Unterstützung eines User Experience Designers zurückzugreifen.
Ein solcher Ansatz funktioniert nur unter der Voraussetzung, dass die Elemente und Muster dieses Baukastens auch bequem anwendbar sind und vom Entwickler stilsicher miteinander kombiniert werden. Andernfalls droht das genaue Gegenteil: inkonsistent verwendete Elemente führen zum Eindruck des “Flickwerks” und die Gesamtakzeptanz des User Interface sinkt.

This method uses the Drupal development environment itself as a way to prototype and style pages. The style guide can also be automatically generated from the development code. This requires an advanced knowledge of the “design in the browser” philosophy, but can save time and effort in the long run.
