This is a special piece of film to accompany the release of the live single ‘And Dream Of Sheep’. The vocal was performed live while filming Kate lying in the huge water tank at Pinewood Studios. This was to create a sense of realism, as the character in the song is lost at sea. However it became more realistic than Kate had imagined. She spent so long in the water during the first day of filming that she contracted mild hypothermia. She recovered after a day off and carried on filming. Everyone agreed it had added to the authenticity of the performance. This film was then projected onto a large oval screen which hung above the stage during the performances of her live show.

STORYLINE:
The Chinese new year was ushered in amid a barrage of fireworks and drumming in Beijing on Friday.
As the clock struck midnight (1600 GMT Friday) traditional drummers signalled the start of the Year of the Sheep.
In China's Lunar calendar, the sheep replaces the horse as the next animal sign in the 12 year cycle of the Zodiac.
In ancient China the sheep is supposed to bring people auspicious luck and happiness. In ancient Chinese script, the character for sheep is the same as the one for propitious omen.
However nowadays the sheep is not generally a welcome sign in the Chinese Zodiac. A baby birth peak just before the year of the sheep is often seen in places across the country.
But for other Chinese, that idea is a total fallacy.
For many residents of Beijing, the new year was a chance to be dazzled by fireworks which were lit all over the city.
At the Beijing Bell Tower, locals counted down to the ringing of a giant bell, which also ushered the new year in with a bang.
The bell tower is more than eight hundred year old. The big bell was cast in the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty (1420's), and is five point five meters high and weighs 63 tons.
The bell is rung one hundred and eight times which represents the sum of twelve months, 24 seasons and 72 Hous. A Hou is five days.
The new year was also heralded by the beating of drums in the Drum tower - one hundred meters south of the Bell tower and built in 1272 - the Zhiyuan Period of the Yuan Dynasty.
There are 25 drums in the tower, 24 and a single main drum. The 24 drums represent the 24 seasons in the Chinese Lunar calendar. The main drum is beaten accompanied by seven small drums in accordance with ancient custom. The beating of seven small drums signifies the seven positive thing in universe - metal, wood, water, fire, earth, sun and moon. The main drum represents the emperor.
The character for sheep and goat is the same in Chinese script.

Counting sheep
Counting sheep is a mental exercise used in some cultures as a means of putting oneself to sleep.
In most depictions of the activity, the practitioner envisions an endless series of identical white sheep jumping over a fence, while counting them as they do so. The idea, presumably, is to induce boredom while occupying the mind with something simple, repetitive, and rhythmic, all of which are known to help humans sleep.
Although the practice is largely a stereotype, and rarely used as a solution for insomnia, it has been so commonly referenced by cartoons, comic strips, and other mass media, that it has become deeply engrained into popular culture's notion of sleep. The term "counting sheep" has entered the English language as an idiomatic term for insomnia. Sheep themselves have become associated with sleep, or lack thereof.
According to an experiment conducted by researchers at Oxford University, counting sheep is actually an inferior means of inducing sleep. Subjects who instead imagined "a beach or a waterfall" were forced to expend more mental energy, and fell asleep faster than those asked to "simply distract from thoughts, worries and concerns." In contrast to news reports about the experiment, the experiment and the resulting scholarly article did not explicitly address counting sheep. Sleep could be achieved by any number of complex activities that expend mental energy.

"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.
The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.
Chart performance
At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.

Kate Bush - And Dream of Sheep (Live) - Official Video
This is a special piece of film to accompany the release of the live single ‘And Dream Of Sheep’. The vocal was performed live while filming Kate lying in the huge water tank at Pinewood Studios. This was to create a sense of realism, as the character in the song is lost at sea. However it became more realistic than Kate had imagined. She spent so long in the water during the first day of filming that she contracted mild hypothermia. She recovered after a day off and carried on filming. Everyone agreed it had added to the authenticity of the performance. This film was then projected onto a large oval screen which hung above the stage during the performances of her live show.

STORYLINE:
The Chinese new year was ushered in amid a barrage of fireworks and drumming in Beijing on Friday.
As the clock struck midnight (1600 GMT Friday) traditional drummers signalled the start of the Year of the Sheep.
In China's Lunar calendar, the sheep replaces the horse as the next animal sign in the 12 year cycle of the Zodiac.
In ancient China the sheep is supposed to bring people auspicious luck and happiness. In ancient Chinese script, the character for sheep is the same as the one for propitious omen.
However nowadays the sheep is not generally a welcome sign in the Chinese Zodiac. A baby birth peak just before the year of the sheep is often seen in places across the country.
But for other Chinese, that idea is a total fallacy.
For many residents of Beijing, the new year was a chance to be dazzled by fireworks which were lit all over the city.
At the Beijing Bell Tower, locals counted down to the ringing of a giant bell, which also ushered the new year in with a bang.
The bell tower is more than eight hundred year old. The big bell was cast in the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty (1420's), and is five point five meters high and weighs 63 tons.
The bell is rung one hundred and eight times which represents the sum of twelve months, 24 seasons and 72 Hous. A Hou is five days.
The new year was also heralded by the beating of drums in the Drum tower - one hundred meters south of the Bell tower and built in 1272 - the Zhiyuan Period of the Yuan Dynasty.
There are 25 drums in the tower, 24 and a single main drum. The 24 drums represent the 24 seasons in the Chinese Lunar calendar. The main drum is beaten accompanied by seven small drums in accordance with ancient custom. The beating of seven small drums signifies the seven positive thing in universe - metal, wood, water, fire, earth, sun and moon. The main drum represents the emperor.
The character for sheep and goat is the same in Chinese script.

Kate Bush - And Dream of Sheep (Live) - Official Video
This is a special piece of film to accompany the release of the live single ‘And Dream Of Sheep’. The vocal was performed live while filming Kate lying in the huge water tank at Pinewood Studios. This was to create a sense of realism, as the character in the song is lost at sea. However it became more realistic than Kate had imagined. She spent so long in the water during the first day of filming that she contracted mild hypothermia. She recovered after a day off and carried on filming. Everyone agreed it had added to the authenticity of the performance. This film was then projected onto a large oval screen which hung above the stage during the performances of her live show.

STORYLINE:
The Chinese new year was ushered in amid a barrage of fireworks and drumming in Beijing on Friday.
As the clock struck midnight (1600 GMT Friday) traditional drummers signalled the start of the Year of the Sheep.
In China's Lunar calendar, the sheep replaces the horse as the next animal sign in the 12 year cycle of the Zodiac.
In ancient China the sheep is supposed to bring people auspicious luck and happiness. In ancient Chinese script, the character for sheep is the same as the one for propitious omen.
However nowadays the sheep is not generally a welcome sign in the Chinese Zodiac. A baby birth peak just before the year of the sheep is often seen in places across the country.
But for other Chinese, that idea is a total fallacy.
For many residents of Beijing, the new year was a chance to be dazzled by fireworks which were lit all over the city.
At the Beijing Bell Tower, locals counted down to the ringing of a giant bell, which also ushered the new year in with a bang.
The bell tower is more than eight hundred year old. The big bell was cast in the Yongle Period of the Ming Dynasty (1420's), and is five point five meters high and weighs 63 tons.
The bell is rung one hundred and eight times which represents the sum of twelve months, 24 seasons and 72 Hous. A Hou is five days.
The new year was also heralded by the beating of drums in the Drum tower - one hundred meters south of the Bell tower and built in 1272 - the Zhiyuan Period of the Yuan Dynasty.
There are 25 drums in the tower, 24 and a single main drum. The 24 drums represent the 24 seasons in the Chinese Lunar calendar. The main drum is beaten accompanied by seven small drums in accordance with ancient custom. The beating of seven small drums signifies the seven positive thing in universe - metal, wood, water, fire, earth, sun and moon. The main drum represents the emperor.
The character for sheep and goat is the same in Chinese script.
