Steven Benjamin Hammond (born May 9, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who played for one season. He played in 46 games for the Kansas City Royals during the 1982 Kansas City Royals season. He went on to a productive career with the Nankai Hawks, where he batted .274 with 9 home runs in 1987 season.
Billy the Kid (born Henry McCarty; also known as William H. Bonney) (September 17, 1859 – July 14, 1881) was an American Old West gunfighter who participated in New Mexico's Lincoln County War and is known to have killed eight men.
His first arrest was for stealing food in late 1875, and five months later he was arrested again for stealing clothing and firearms. His escape from jail two days later and flight from New Mexico Territory into Arizona Territory made him both an outlaw and a fugitive. After murdering a blacksmith during an altercation in August 1877, Bonney became a wanted man in Arizona Territory and returned to New Mexico, where he joined a group of cattle rustlers. He took part in the Lincoln County War and joined the Regulators, making him a well-known outlaw in the region. In April 1878, however, the Regulators killed three men, including Lincoln County Sheriff William J. Brady and one of his deputies. Bonney and two other Regulators were later charged with killing all three men.

My mother died from Alzheimer's on August 3, 2012.She was 78 years old.For nearly two years prior to her death I would go to her house at least once a week and give her a private concert. I would play however long she wanted me to,sometimes as long as an entire day.She loved country music and I tried to learn songs that I thought she would enjoy.Like many who suffer from this wretched disease she became irritable and combative during her final years. This was totally out of character for my mother as she was a very kind person before the Alzheimers took over. When I played music for her it would somehow override the Alzheimers and she would become happy and congenial again. She would undergo this amazing transformation and we could connect just like before she became ill. I am so very gratef...

This is my solo acoustic arrangement of the Black Oak Arkansas song "Keep The Faith" from their 1972 second album,Keep The Faith. The song is performed on a Dean Exotica guitar with laminated Cocobolo top, back and sides. See my review on the Dean Cocobolo guitar - I can't say enough good things about this guitar. If you want to really hear how this guitar sounds in person you will need to plug in some good headphones if listening on a smartphone - the little speakers on a smartphone just can't reproduce the sound accurately.
My mother died of Alzheimers Disease on August 3, 2012. For two years prior to her death I had been driving to her house at least once a week to play music for her. I would essentially do a private concert for her, and play however long she wanted, usually a couple of hours, but sometimes longer.Like many afflicted with this horrible disease she had become irritable and withdrawn in her final years. This was totally out of character for her as before she became ill she was a very kind and gentle person. When I played music for her somehow the music would temporarily override the Alzheimers and she would become her normal kind self again. Thirty minutes before she died she said, "I am getting ready to leave now and I want you to play music for me one last time". She was in a coma and cou...
This is a mash-up of two of my favorite Leo Kottke tunes,"The Fisherman" and "Stealing". There were a half dozen or so Canadian Geese nearby walking around honking and making all kinds of racket where I recorded this video, and I thought this isn't going to work out at all. But, as soon as I picked up the guitar they all stopped calling, settled down and became very quiet. Right after I stopped playing and recording, they all resumed their honking and carrying on again, sounding like a band of mad trombone players.
This is my solo acoustic arrangement of the song, "Mexican Blackbird", by the great blues-rock band,ZZ Top. The song is from their fourth album, "Fandango",released in 1975. The free association talking part of the song, "Ride that old Harley on down to Mexico boy, keep your eyes on the road at night for armadillos, those things can take you right down to the ground", is my creation, and quite different from the original.
This is my solo acoustic arrangement of one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs "Unthought Known".
This is the HD version of my performance of the Willie Nelson song "Hands On The Wheel".
One of the great "road songs" of all time, written by Fred Foster and Kris Kristofferson. The song is most associated with the late Janis Joplin, whose supercharged version was released after her untimely death, and which topped the charts in the early 1970's.In Kris Kristofferson's version Bobby McGee is female, and in Janis Joplins, male.
This is my solo arrangement of the Black Oak Arkansas song, "Gravel Roads", off their album "If An Angel Came To See You,Would You Make Her Feel At Home". Long live BOA!
