X - Untitled B1
X-X (Rush Hour No 'Label')
Artist: X
Title: X-Untitled B1
Label : Rush Hour
Catalog Number : RHD-X eu12
Country : UK
Released : Dec 2014
Genre / Style : Electronic, Techno
NYC’s dusty deep house specialist Terekke migrates from his usual L.I.E.S outpost to link up with Rush Hour’s ever-impressive No ‘Label’ spin off. Acting under the X guise, the self-titled EP kicks off with the diluted acid bump of ‘A1’, followed by the effortless, hazed deep house groove of ‘A2’. On the flip, ‘B1’ ups the tempo and enriches a flute laden disco sample with a kicking percussive suite whilst final cut ‘B2’ gives another loopy funk classic the grisly treatment. It is impossible to pick a winner here, with each cut offering a different mood yet keeping its aim locked in on the ‘floor – a DJ’s favourite.

Optical & Trace - Untitled [Unreleased] 1998
This enigma of a track has caused some confusion over the years as it was incorrectly labelled as 'Red Floor' by Ed Rush & Optical on their long defunct Neurofunk website c.1999/2000. It appears however, that the mystery has now been solved, thanks to the tenacity of YouTube member Woodsnake808 and Optical himself.
Optical: "Its actually me and Trace in 1998...it was made from drums taken from a cassette tape and some old orchestral sample pack that came with the E6400 sampler....never sounded great quality-wise but was a nice experiment I think, and I loved those drum loops so much even though there is no good version of them out there...it only exists now on some crusty 10" dubplate from Music House, so lost to the sands of time I guess. Never had a real name BTW. Wish I had a DAT of it...

Untitled #2
You live in the shadows of a love that faded in time
I became the girl on the mountain, an oracle bathed in white
The rush of the moment, when the lies turned to love on your lips
Can't sustain you, so you went for the thrust of your hips
In silence my ghost will appear and the pain in your heart will refrain
Gaze into her cold loveless eyes and you'll hear my voice calling your name
The rush of the moment, when the lies turned to love on your lips
Pulled me down from the heavens in the thralls of your deepest sins
Warmth of a blood orange sunset will send your fears out to sea
Drunk from the glow of the moonlight and you'll fall in love with memories of me
The rush of the moment, when the lies turned love on your lips
Can't sustain you, so you when for the thrust of your hips

The clip is DJ Trace's last tune of a set he and Ed Rush played whilst in New Zealand and it would now seem apparent, that apart from the lost DAT/dubplate Optical eludes to, that this may be the only copy in existence.
