Zack Snyder is reportedly changing the tone of the forthcoming Justice League after the criticisms Batman v Superman received.
Batman v Superman – which came out in March – has now grossed over $870 million (£595 million) at the global box office despite a generally negative response from critics. On review aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes, the film's approval rating is a lowly 27%.
Chris Rock recently hit out at the recent and much-maligned movie during a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City with the Star Trek, Star Wars and Lost director JJ Abrams. Many people criticised the film for Zack Snyder's poor directing abilities.

Speaking to Vulture, Snyder said "When Batman v Superman came out, I was like, 'Wow, okay, oof'." Continuing, he said "It did catch me off guard. I have had to, in my mind, make an adjustment. I do think that the tone of Justice League has changed because of what the fans have said."
Justice League producer Deborah Snyder called the Batman v Superman backlash a "learning experience", adding: "We hear what everyone has to say because we care what the fans say."
As for what producers learned from Batman v Superman criticism, Deborah says: "The main thing we learned, I think: People don't like to see their heroes deconstructed."
