Arciero earned her Master's in Puppetry from the University of Connecticut.
Arciero took over the role of Grundgetta for Sesame Street from Brian Muehl, performing her in The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson and Sesame Street: A Is for Asthma, and continues to perform her to this day.
She has performed characters for Allegra's Window, Between the Lions, Eureeka's Castle and The Great Space Coaster.
She performed in Little Shop of Horrors at the Orpheum Theater and served as director for several live shows at Sesame Place and El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles.
Arciero has served as Artistic Director for the O'Neill puppetry conference since 2002 and continues to participate in puppetry workshops and other events across the country.
She appears as herself in the documentaries Henson's Place and The World of Jim Henson.
Paul McGinnis (born 1973) is a puppeteer for Sesame Street and the Muppets. He has also performed in various non-Muppet television productions such as Crash & Bernstein,Crank Yankers,Warren The Ape,Greg The Bunny,It's a Big Big World,Book of Pooh, Between The Lions and Dog with a Blog. He performed on stage in the 2004-2005 Broadway tour of Little Shop of Horrors, as well as Walking With Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular. Paul creates his own works of puppetry, mostly in the Bunraku/American tabletop style.
Sesame Street is a long-running American children's television series created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett. The program is known for its educational content, and images communicated through the use of Jim Henson's Muppets, animation, short films, humor, and cultural references. The series premiered on November 10, 1969, to positive reviews, some controversy, and high viewership; it has aired on the U.S.'s national public television provider (PBS) since its debut, with its first run moving to premium channel HBO on January 16, 2016.
The show has undergone significant changes throughout its history. The format of Sesame Street consists of a combination of commercial television production elements and techniques which have evolved to reflect the changes in American culture and the audience's viewing habits. With the creation of Sesame Street, producers and writers of a children's television show used, for the first time, educational goals and a curriculum to shape its content. It was also the first time a show's educational effects were studied.
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films of a defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events. Some film historians do not consider Film Festivals as official releases of film, like Jerry Beck. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.
