Hybrid is no longer an experimental feature or idea. Many developers use HTML5 as part of their native applications in the mobile, desktop and embedded space. In this session, we will get a head start on how to approach this development technique with Qt, how to embed a web view in a C++ or QML application, and how to expose local functionality. We will also look into the future and explore what hybrid development will look like going forward.

Qt gives you lots of options. You can use QML, you can use traditional C++, or you serve HTML5 in a web view. But with all those options come questions. Which option is best for my particular user case? What are the criteria that would help me make the choice that is right for me? We will explore these questions by trying a few use cases with those three approaches, and by trying to understand the problem each is trying to solve.

Abraham Michael "A.M." Rosenthal (May 2, 1922 – May 10, 2006), born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, was a New York Times executive editor (1977–88) and columnist (1987–1999) and New York Daily News columnist (1999–2004). He joined the New York Times in 1943 and remained there for 56 years, to 1999. Rosenthal won a Pulitzer Prize in 1960 for international reporting. As an editor at the newspaper, Rosenthal oversaw the coverage of a number of major news stories including the Vietnam war, the Pentagon Papers, and the Watergate scandal. Together with Catherine A. Fitzpatrick, he was the first westerner to visit a Soviet GULAG camp in 1988. His son, Andrew Rosenthal is the editorial page editor of the New York Times.
Early years
Rosenthal was born on May 2, 1922, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to a family of Jewish descent. His father was a farmer named Harry Shipiatsky who emigrated to Canada from Belarus in the 1890s and changed his name to Rosenthal. His father worked as a fur trapper and trader around Hudson Bay, where he met and married Sarah Dickstein.

Yohan Blake
Yohan Blake (born 26 December 1989), is a Jamaican sprinter of the 100-metre and 200-metre sprint races. He won a gold medal at the 100 m at the 2011 world championships as the youngest 100 m world champion ever, and a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London in the 100 m and 200 m races for the Jamaican team. He is known by the nickname "The Beast".
Blake's 100 m personal best of 9.69 seconds makes him the equal second fastest man ever with Tyson Gay after Usain Bolt. His personal best for the 200 m (19.26 seconds) is the second fastest ever after Bolt. He holds the national junior record for the 100 metres, and was formerly the youngest sprinter to have broken the 10-second barrier (at 19 years, 196 days).
He is coached by Glen Mills. His training partners are Usain Bolt and Daniel Bailey.
Early life
Blake attended St. Jago High School in Spanish Town where his first sporting love was cricket. Blake was a fast bowler, and it was only after the school Principal saw how quickly he ran to the wicket that he was urged to try sprinting.
