After pulling the rats nest out from the starter and flywheel, and cleaning up the spark plugs. Not to mention adjust the points and cap. Sprayed some ether in the carb and this is what happened... ENJOY!!!

Three speakers have been reconed, one has the original cone. I explain a few safety measures I take when checking out an amp for the first time. I replace the JJ ECC83S that was in V1 with a vintage Sylvania 5751. Everything else is as it was when I received the amp. It sounds better than my 1960 in my opinion. I need to make sure I preserve this tone.

The Eurovision Song Contest 1959 was the fourth Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Cannes, following the French victory the previous year.
A new rule was created for this Eurovision, ensuring that no professional publishers or composers were allowed in the national juries.
The Netherlands' win was their second and the first time a country had won the contest twice. Willy van Hemert was also the lyricist of "Net als toen", which won the Eurovision Song Contest 1957. Van Hemert was the first person to win the Eurovision Song Contest twice.
Luxembourg withdrew from the contest for the first time. The United Kingdom returned after missing the previous contest (appearing on the scoreboard as "Grande Bretagne") and finished second for the first time. The UK would have 15 second-place finishes in the country's history in the contest. Monaco made its debut in the contest, but came last.
In the press it was suggested that Italy and France gave more points to the Netherlands because neither of those two countries wanted the other to win. This has never been verified.
Italy gave one point to France, no points to the UK and seven points to the Netherlands placing them just three points ahead of the UK. Later on France gave only three points to Italy and four points to the Netherlands giving them a five point lead over the UK, who were only one point ahead of France, leaving Italy behind in sixth position, behind Denmark, on nine points.
Something that occurred this year, but never again, was that more than the winning entry was performed once again. The second and third placed songs, United Kingdom and France, were allowed to sing again at the end of the show, together with eventual winner, the Netherlands.

For the First Time is tenor star Mario Lanza's final film. released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1959. Filmed on location in 1958 in Capri, Salzburg, Berlin and at the Rome Opera House, the film told the sentimental story of an operatic tenor (Tony Costa) who finds love for the first time with a young German woman (played by Johanna von Koczian), who happens to be deaf. The film was directed by Rudolph Mate, and featured Kurt Kasznar and Zsa Zsa Gabor in supporting roles. Critics singled out Lanza's singing of "Vesti la Giubba" from Pagliacci and the Death Scene from Otello for special praise, with Howard Thompson of The New York Times calling it the tenor's "most disarming vehicle in years."

Aydah gets to go horseback riding as a gift for her birthday. We didn't really get to celebrate much on her birthday since we were at Playlist Live. Aydah gets to go horseback riding as a gift for her birthday. We didn't really get to celebrate much on her birthday since we were at Playlist Live. The best part is that she has all of her family along,including her best friend from Minnesota!! We all get really nice horses, and they all have really fun names. Terra's horse Sparky likes to stop and eat the grass a lot even though he isn't supposed to be doing that. Jesee gets a mule that is very well behaved. Jayla's horse accidentally eats some poison ivy, and hurts him and he gets a little wild. Jayla is very brave and gets back on anyways!! Jayla and Aydah do so great for their first time on a horse. We are going to come back in the summer for lessons! Thanks so much for all of your love and support.
