Methil is an eastern coastal town in Scotland. It was part of the former Burgh of Buckhaven and Methil. It lies within a continuous urban area described as Levenmouth.
Methil lies geographically between Largo bay to the east and Wemyss Bay to the west. Previously an industrial maritime powerhouse of the region, it is now redirecting itself towards a green energy future. One boundary delineating Methil from its adjacent towns is the River Leven.
Immediately adjacent to the mouth of the river was Methil power station, demolished in 2011 due to concerns about its dangerous proximity to the water's edge. However, one of the energy-producing wind turbines planned for the area might provide an alternative visual reference point, both from the Firth of Forth and from inland approaches to Methil, replacing the powers station's chimney.
Also nearby the mouth of the river is Bayview Stadium, home to league 2 side East Fife Football Club.

In January 2015, Ian McCall was appointed as Ayr's new manager, taking over from Roberts.
Fife ([ˈfəif]; Scottish Gaelic: Fìobha) is a council area and historic county of Scotland. It is situated between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth, with inland boundaries to Perth and Kinross and Clackmannanshire. By custom it is widely held to have been one of the major Pictish kingdoms, known as Fib, and is still commonly known as the Kingdom of Fife within Scotland.
It is a lieutenancy area, and was a county of Scotland until 1975. It was very occasionally known by the anglicisation Fifeshire in old documents and maps compiled by English cartographers and authors. A person from Fife is known as a Fifer.
Fife was a local government region divided into three districts: Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and North-East Fife. Since 1996 the functions of the district councils have been exercised by the unitary Fife Council.
Fife is Scotland's third largest local authority area by population. It has a resident population of just under 367,000, almost a third of whom live in the three principal towns of Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes.

The old man in the family feels that the other members of the family are totally insensitive to his attempts at communicating with them and even to his presence among them. Tasting the bitterness of being marginalized and feeling the pangs of dreary loneliness, he looks around for solace and finds a reflection of himself in the lonely ornamental fish in the aquarium. He tries to fondle the fish. It is only natural that his attempts at fondling the fish are mistaken as the manifestation of an old man’s deranged mind. Tour Scotland video of cooking " Arbroath Smokies " on visit to the Fife Show by Cupar, Fife. Arbroath smokies are a type of lightly smoked small haddock with a particularly good flavour and texture. To cook smokies , a smokie pit is prepared. A hole is dug in the ground, and a half whisky barrel is set into it. The base of the barrel is lined with slates to protect it, and a hardwood fire of beech and oak is lit inside. The sticks of fish are then placed over the pit and the hessian cover allows the fire to breathe and maintain the required heat
