The huge Crowd as if you are in a Fair and the long stretches of Shop lined up on the both sides of the road will tell you its Chor Bazar. See around and there you will find books and books - the first Editions being sold here - rare to be found anywhere else, the hard disks which cost thousands being sold here for hundreds, real looking artificial jewelry - something you will find in Mumbai, electronic goods with the brands stamped on them but with no warranties - all are some of the features of Chor Bazar. Its a place to be in at least once. Not to be Missed Dara Shikoh Library- Dara Shikoh Library is the part of Department of Archeology. Built by Emperor Shaha Jehans liberal intellectual son and chosen successor, Dara Shikoh. When Dara Shikoh was killed by his Brother Aurengzeb, the property of Dara Shikoh passed on to the hands of Britishers. Taken by Sir Ochterlony, it was renovated, with Verandah and several pillars added to it. Several Historical and Precious Books can be found here. The building holds importance for its Mughal and British Architecture. Our Suggestions In Chor Bazar, whatever you buy, buy on your own. There are no Guarantees and Warranties. All kinds of Hardwares and Softwares can be found in Chor Bazar. Old, rare and the first editions of the new books can also be found in Chor Bazar. Chor Bazar is a market which has to be covered by foot. So its better to park your vehicle in the Parking Lot provided for shoppers. There are very Good Restaurants and Average Restaurants. Where to eat is your choice. You can also take the guidance of your Tour Guide. Preferable take food in your hotel. Avoid the Street Food of Chor Bazar. In Chor Bazar, majorly Indian and Chinese Food is served. If you are shopping in the months of March to June end, then its best to shop in the evenings after 6 o'clock Chor Bazar is a Open market, spread in a open area. Money Converters can be easily found in Delhi City. However, its difficult to find them in Chandni Chowk and Old Delhi.
