Vic (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈbik]) is the capital of the comarca of Osona, in the Barcelona Province, Catalonia, Spain. Vic's location is 69 km from Barcelona and 60 km from Girona. Vic's position has made it one of the most important towns in central Catalonia.
Vic lies in the middle of the Plain of Vic, equidistant from Barcelona and the Pyrenees.
Vic is famous for its persistent fog in winter as a result of a persistent thermal inversion with temperatures as low as -10 °C and an absolute record of -24 °C. Episodes of cold and severe snowstorms are noticeable. In summer, storms are very common during the dry season, typical of the Mediterranean climate of coastal Catalonia. For that reason the natural vegetation includes the pubescent oak typical of the sub-Mediterranean climates of eastern France, Northern Italy and the Balkans.
Vic is of ancient origin. In past times it was called Ausa by the Romans. Iberian coins bearing this name have been found there. The Visigoths called it Ausona. Sewage caps on sidewalks around the city will also read "Vich," an old form of the name.
Victor "Vic" Morrow (February 14, 1929 – July 23, 1982) was an American actor and director whose credits include a starring role in the 1960s television series Combat!, prominent roles in a handful of other television and film dramas, and numerous guest roles on television. Morrow and two child actors were killed in 1982 by a stunt helicopter crash during the filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie.
Morrow was born Victor Morozoff in the New York City borough of the Bronx, to a middle-class Jewish family, the son of Jean (née Kress) and Harry Morozoff, an electrical engineer. When he was 17, Morrow dropped out of high school and joined the United States Navy.
In 1958, Morrow married actress and screenwriter Barbara Turner, with whom he had two daughters: Carrie Ann Morrow (b. 1958) and actress Jennifer Jason Leigh (b. 1962). Morrow's marriage to Barbara lasted seven years and ended in divorce in 1964 or 1965. Morrow did not remarry until 1975, over a decade later, when he courted Gale Lester (currently Gale Morrow Butler). They were married for five years and were separated just prior to Morrow's death.
In the early morning hours of July 23, 1982, Morrow and two children, My-Ca Dinh Le (age 7), and Renee Shin-Yi Chen (age 6), died in an accident while filming on location for the Twilight Zone: The Movie in Ventura County, California, between Santa Clarita and Piru. Morrow was playing the role of Bill Connor, a racist who is taken back in time and placed in various situations where he would be a persecuted victim: as a Jewish Holocaust victim, a black man about to be lynched by the Ku Klux Klan, and a Vietnamese man about to be killed by U.S. soldiers. Morrow, Le, and Chen were filming a scene for the Vietnam sequence in which their characters attempt to escape from a pursuing U.S. Army helicopter out of a deserted Vietnamese village. The helicopter was hovering at about 25 feet above them...

My first video, a compilation of footage from my trip to Victoria, BC at the beginning of summer break, 2015 before I leave on exchange to Sweden. I went whale watching twice with Prince of Whales (located in Victoria's Downtown Harbour) and saw killer whales/orca whales both trips (as well as other wildlife like seals and sea lions), went out on my grandparents boat from Royal Victoria Yacht Club, drove up past Duncan to the Cowichan Valley to visit my great aunt, and had a great time exploring my favourite city in the world.
Peninsula Hot Springs are a unique and invigorating experience in the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula. They source the mineral water from natural hot springs 637m below ground. This water comes out at a warm 50°C and then is cooled down to various temperatures between 37°C and 43°C so everyone can find a pool at a temperature that is comfortable for them. The thermal waters in these pools are also full of minerals and are considered to have healing qualities for the body. There are over 20 different styles of bathes and pools to choose from and you can even indulge in their private bathing area. We did that with a bottle of bubbly. They even have a Hamam, Turkish Steam Room, where you can purchase the salts from reception and do the scrub amongst friends, or organise a group ...

Travel video about destination Victoria Falls. Located in the south of the African continent and located on the Zambia/Zimbabwe border, the Victoria Falls are one of the world's most amazing and impressive wonders of nature.Between February and March when the Zambesi is at its strongest, an average of more than five hundred million litres of water shoot over edge of the waterfall every minute. Indeed, the dimensions of the Victoria Falls beats all records: at an average height of ninety seven metres, the Victoria Falls are around one and a half times as long and also twice as high as the world famous Niagara Falls in North America.Dense tropical rain forests now cover the former basins of earlier waterfalls and have thus created vegetation that would not normally thrive in the surrounding ...
