List of heads of state of Malta
This is a list of the heads of state of Malta, from the foundation of the State of Malta in 1964 to the present day.
From 1964 to 1974 the head of state under the Malta Independence Act 1964 was the Queen of Malta, Elizabeth II, who was also the monarch of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. The Queen was represented in Malta by a Governor-General. Malta became a republic under the Constitution of 1974 and the monarch and Governor-General were replaced by a ceremonial President.
Monarch (1964–1974)
The succession to the throne was the same as the succession to the British throne.
Governors-General
The Governor-General was the representative of the monarch in Malta and exercised most of the powers of the monarch. The Governor-General was appointed for an indefinite term, serving at the pleasure of the monarch. After the passage of the Statute of Westminster 1931, the Governor-General was appointed solely on the advice of the Cabinet of Malta without the involvement of the British government. In the event of a vacancy the Chief Justice served as Officer Administering the Government.

Malta (
i/ˈmɒltə/; Maltese: [ˈmɐltɐ]), officially the Republic of Malta (Maltese: Repubblika ta' Malta), is a Southern European island country comprising an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. It lies 80 km (50 mi) south of Italy, 284 km (176 mi) east of Tunisia, and 333 km (207 mi) north of Libya. The country covers just over 316 km2 (122 sq mi), with a population of just under 450,000 (despite an extensive emigration programme since the Second World War), making it one of the world's smallest and most densely populated countries. The capital of Malta is Valletta, which at 0.8 km2, is the smallest national capital in the European Union. Malta has two official languages: Maltese and English.
Malta's location has historically given it great strategic importance as a naval base, and a succession of powers, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Normans, Sicilians, Spanish, Knights of St. John, French and British, have ruled the islands.

After the Napoleonic Wars Britain gained control of Malta and held it for the allies despite six years of bombing by the surrounding Axis powers in World War II (WW2). After thousands of years of foreign domination, the Maltese people finally became self-governing when Malta became Independent in 1964.
🇲🇹 The geography of Malta consists of three main islands - Malta, Gozo and Comini. Sitting within the Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild wet winters, and with 3000+ hours of sunshine per year, Malta's economy is boosted by millions of tourists, here to visit the unique historical sites and architecture, as well as many fine beaches and cliff-dominated coastal views.
🇲🇹 Maltese culture is influenced mostly by European dominance in history, although the Semitic Maltese language is a Middle Eastern hangover from the time it was occupied by the Arabs. The Maltese Cross, though not native to Malta, bears its name through its long association of the Knights of Malta, who would wear the Maltese Cross into battle.

Just an honest video of what's it like in St. Paul's Bay - Bugibba & Qawra in Malta. This video represents my personal opinion, plus the presented state of things here. Sustainability levels of this island are becoming exhausted.
St. Paul's Bay, Malta is a local council consisting of Bugibba, Qawra and St. Paul's Bay residential areas. Full of shops, restaurants, hotels and couple of local seafood stores. It is also the most populated town in Malta, and the town with most of the construction works after St. Julian's and Sliema.

Unfettered, it claimed the plains of Montana the 316 tamed the air with thunder, quaking rage... then silence... baa ba dum bum = ) They faltered, they let the rain obscure their sight... and that 316 came racing down the line, and it took them so far beyond their plans that night, 3000 tonnes of screaming steel would teach them how to fly... it was simple.

List of heads of state of Malta
This is a list of the heads of state of Malta, from the foundation of the State of Malta in 1964 to the present day.
From 1964 to 1974 the head of state under the Malta Independence Act 1964 was the Queen of Malta, Elizabeth II, who was also the monarch of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. The Queen was represented in Malta by a Governor-General. Malta became a republic under the Constitution of 1974 and the monarch and Governor-General were replaced by a ceremonial President.

The succession to the throne was the same as the succession to the British throne.
Governors-General
The Governor-General was the representative of the monarch in Malta and exercised most of the powers of the monarch. The Governor-General was appointed for an indefinite term, serving at the pleasure of the monarch. After the passage of the Statute of Westminster 1931, the Governor-General was appointed solely on the advice of the Cabinet of Malta without the involvement of the British government. In the event of a vacancy the Chief Justice served as Officer Administering the Government.

🇲🇹 Malta has been ruled by Phoenicians, Carthage, the Romans, the Vandals, the Arabs, various European dynasties and the British. But the most notable were the Knights Hospitaller, who were gifted the islands in the 16th century. Under the Knights of Malta (as they became known) they repulsed the Ottomans at the Siege of Malta under their Grand Master Jean Parisot de Valette, who the capital Valletta was later named after. After the Napoleonic Wars Britain gained control of Malta and held it for the allies despite six years of bombing by the surrounding Axis powers in World War II (WW2). After thousands of years of foreign domination, the Maltese people finally became self-governing when Malta became Independent in 1964.
🇲🇹 The geography of Malta consists of three main islands - Malta, Gozo and Comini. Sitting within the Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild wet winters, and with 3000+ hours of sunshine per year, Malta's economy is boosted by millions of tourists, here to visit the unique historical sites and architecture, as well as many fine beaches and cliff-dominated coastal views.
🇲🇹 Maltese culture is influenced mostly by European dominance in history, although the Semitic Maltese language is a Middle Eastern hangover from the time it was occupied by the Arabs. The Maltese Cross, though not native to Malta, bears its name through its long association of the Knights of Malta, who would wear the Maltese Cross into battle.

Just an honest video of what's it like in St. Paul's Bay - Bugibba & Qawra in Malta. This video represents my personal opinion, plus the presented state of things here. Sustainability levels of this island are becoming exhausted.
St. Paul's Bay, Malta is a local council consisting of Bugibba, Qawra and St. Paul's Bay residential areas. Full of shops, restaurants, hotels and couple of local seafood stores. It is also the most populated town in Malta, and the town with most of the construction works after St. Julian's and Sliema.

and they knew- yeah, all about it's faithful ways,
and the children tell sad stories 'bout the one that stayed and played...
he tarried.
Unfettered, it claimed the plains of Montana
the 316 tamed the air with thunder, quaking rage...
then silence...
baa ba dum bum = )
They faltered,
they let the rain obscure their sight...
and that 316 came racing down the line,
and it took them
so far beyond their plans that night,
