Christopher Heyerdahl (born September 18, 1963) is a Canadian actor who has had roles in many television shows and movies.
Heyerdahl was born in the mountains of British Columbia and is of Norwegian and Scottish descent. His father emigrated from Norway to Canada in the 1950s. Thor Heyerdahl was his father's cousin. Heyerdahl also speaks Norwegian fairly well and studied for some time at the University of Oslo.
Heyerdahl is primarily known for his recurring role as "The Swede" in AMC's Hell on Wheels. He is also known for his role as Leonid in the Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode "The Thirteenth Floor" and as Nosferatu in the episode "Midnight Madness". He played the characters Halling and Wraith commander Todd in Stargate Atlantis, and Pallan in the Stargate SG-1 episode "Revisions". He played H. P. Lovecraft in the film Out of Mind: The Stories of H. P. Lovecraft (1998) and a punk, new at drug dealing, in Cadavres (2009).
He played the part of the demon Alastair in three episodes of Supernatural. He also played the part of Zor-El in the television series Smallville, as well as playing John Druitt and Bigfoot in the series Sanctuary.
Timothy S. "Tim" Guinee (born November 18, 1962) is an American stage, television, and feature film actor.
Guinee, who has two brothers and two sisters, was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Illinois and Texas. He attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas before he founded a theater group in Texas. Later he moved to New York in order to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Following this study, he attended the North Carolina School of Arts in Winston-Salem, where he graduated and had his film debut. He met his wife, Daisy Foote, at the production of Hallmark Hall of Fame: Lily Dale (1996). Daisy is the daughter of Pulitzer Prize winner Horton Foote, who adapted Lily Dale for the film himself.
Guinee has participated in numerous productions since then, and may be best known through his role as the lead in Sweet Land and as Tomin in the television series Stargate SG-1. In 2005, he starred as record producer Sam Phillips in the Golden Globe winning miniseries Elvis. Guinee stars as Ben Matheson in Revolution. Currently, he is a cast regular in AMC's Hell on Wheels, playing railroad entrepreneur Collis Huntington.
