A priest is a person who holds an office in a religion, for example an Orthodox Christian, Roman Catholic priest, Hindu priest, an Imam in Islam, or a Kohen in Judaism.
Priest may also refer to:
Kohen or cohen (or kohain; Hebrew: כֹּהֵן, "priest", pl. כֹּהֲנִים kohanim) is the Hebrew word for priest. Jewish kohanim are traditionally believed and halakhically required to be of direct patrilineal descent from the biblical Aaron.
During the existence of the Temple in Jerusalem, kohanim performed the daily and holiday (Yom Tov) duties of sacrificial offerings. Today, kohanim retain a lesser though distinct status within Rabbinic and Karaite Judaism, and are bound by additional restrictions according to Orthodox Judaism.
In the Samaritan community, the kohanim have remained the primary religious leaders. Ethiopian Jewish religious leaders are sometimes called kahen, a form of the same word, but the position is not hereditary and their duties are more like those of rabbis than kohanim in most Jewish communities.
The noun kohen is used in the Torah to refer to priests, both Jewish and non-Jewish, such as the Jewish nation as a whole, as well as the priests (Hebrew kohanim) of Baal (2 Kings 10:19).
Priest is a 2011 American post-apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi action/horror film starring Paul Bettany as the title character. The film, directed by Scott Stewart, is loosely based on the Korean comic of the same name. In an alternate world, humanity and vampires have warred for centuries. After the last Vampire War, a veteran Warrior Priest (Bettany) lives in obscurity with other humans inside one of the Church's walled cities. When the Priest's niece (Lily Collins) is kidnapped by vampires, the Priest breaks his vows to hunt them down. He is accompanied by the niece's boyfriend Hicks (Cam Gigandet), who is a wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q).
The film first entered development in 2005, when Screen Gems bought the spec script by Cory Goodman. In 2006 Andrew Douglas was attached to direct and Gerard Butler was attached to star. They were eventually replaced by Stewart and Bettany in 2009 and filming started in Los Angeles, California, later in the year. The film changed release dates numerous times throughout 2010 and 2011. It was especially pushed back from 2010 to 2011 to convert the film from 2D to 3D. It was released in the United States and Canada on May 13, 2011. The film earned over $78 million at the box office against a $60 million production budget, but it was panned by critics, who, while noting the film's visual style, criticized the movie's use of genre clichés.
Chaos may refer to any state of confusion or disorder, it may also refer to:
The British space rock group Hawkwind have been active since 1969, but their earliest video release is Night Of The Hawk from their Earth Ritual Tour recorded at Ipswich on 9 March 1984. Since then, there have been numerous video releases covering the evolution of the band; some are professional broadcast shoots, others commercial, and a few are amateur.
There have also been some live video shoots of the band during the 1970s, although none have seen a commercial release. These include an early 12 April 1970 The Roundhouse, London performance and a Hawklords performance at Brunel University, Uxbridge on 24 November 1978.
The Hawkestra event, a reunion featuring appearances from all past and present members on 21 October 2000 at the Brixton Academy, was professionally filmed but disputes between band members would indicate any forthcoming release unlikely.
Shadow Galactica (シャドウ・ギャラクティカ, Shadō Gyarakutika) is a group of fictional characters who serve as antagonists in the Sailor Moon manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi. They are the final antagonists of the series' fifth story arc, called Stars in the original manga and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars in its anime adaptation. Shadow Galactica is first introduced in chapter #43 "Stars 1", originally published in Japan on September 6, 1996.
Shadow Galactica as an organization devotes itself to stealing "starseeds", the essence of sentient life, from all in the universe. Its members are lead by Sailor Galaxia and have the ultimate goal of reorganizing the universe in the image that Chaos desires. The musicals state that they have already conquered 80% of the Milky Way galaxy, and all 88 constellations - with only Sailor Moon's solar system remaining. Sailor Galaxia's castle, Galatica Palace (ギャラクティカ・パレス, Gyarakutika Paresu), serves as Shadow Galactica's base of operations in the manga. Galactica Palace is located at the Galactic Center, in Sagittarius Zero Star, and it is built around the Galaxy Cauldron, the birthplace of all life in the Milky Way. In the anime, Shadow Galactica's base is Galaxy TV (銀河TV, Ginga Terebi, lit. "Silver River TV").
Gay was Toronto's first gay magazine, published almost simultaneously with ASK Newsletter, together Canada's first gay magazines. The earliest periodical anywhere to use 'Gay' in its title. Produced by four Toronto men in a commercial venture, the Gay Publishing Company, Gay ran serious articles, letters to the editor, a diary, gossip columns, a feature called the "Gabrial Club", poetry, fiction, politics and a discrete personals column. Gay was illustrated, usually with photographs of drag queens, but also including 'physique' photography.
Intended for a 'mainstream' gay audience it reflected cautious reformism, defending the rights and normalcy of a constituency living in a hostile environment. This was not unlike the political activism emerging in a few large American and European cities before more confrontational activism. Gay also published on Toronto police raids on bars, and on the calls for social and political change that were beginning to surface.
The first five-hundred-copy issue sold out almost immediately. Printing two thousand copies by issue three, distributed to a number of outlets in Toronto and Montreal. Shortly, Gay expanded into the United States as Gay International. It quickly outstripped American publications' distributions, and by the spring of 1965 it was publishing twenty thousand copies across North America and selling about eight thousand. Publication ended in 1966 when criminal charges were levied against one of its central creators.

Jonathan Pageau had a great video on Alex Jones on Joe Rogan. You should watch it. When I saw it I immediately thought of John Vervaeke's treatment of shamanism. Alex Jones is a shaman and nicely illustrates the corruption of institutions and how institutions try to recover themselves either through chaos or control. We saw this in the struggle in the United Methodist Church this week over gay clergy. We sat it in the Roman Catholic priest scandal and Pope Francis' attempt to clean up the house. From the Editor's Desk, Michael J. Matt takes a hard look at new initiatives to shut down the Church in Poland, Spain and Ireland. He then examines Pope Francis's response and concludes that what is needed is what he calls "Practical Application of Traditional Catholicism." Michael argues that, even as a good man like Jordan Peterson is making great arguments against the evil secularist spirit of the age, it's nevertheless doomed to fail if said arguments are not rooted on the single most important even in human history--the Incarnation of Jesus Christ -- a historical figure who really lived, really died, and really rose from the dead to found the greatest civilization in human history. Michael announces a new chapter in Remnant TV's war on secularism and the establishment of a new world o...

Well, another winner for you! Actually, he'd be much better off if he'd continue his dancing career rather than pretend to be a priest. Another looser for you...but he has faculties and is in "good standing" so what the heck?

When we meet, I listen to your heartbeat
I can hear the rhythm and the tone
Everytime I listen to my heart
It’s like I cartwheel in my head
but my legs are made of lead
Your heartbeat song
Is good but it’s not the one
We’re singing out of tune
But I still want to sing with you
When we speak, I find it hard to think straight
Especially when there’s no one else around
When we touch it’s impossible to concentrate
Bright lights everywhere like I’m floating in the air
Your heartbeat song
Is good but it’s not the one
We’re singing out of tune
But I still want to sing with you
Your heartbeat song
Is good but it’s not the one
We’re singing out of tune
But I still want to sing with you
But I still want to sing with you
If you care
We can share some time
If we spare
Ourselves tonight
When we meet, I listen to your heartbeat
I can hear the rhythm and the tone
Everytime I listen to my heart
It’s like I cartwheel in my head
but my legs are made of lead
