A TINY horse who suffers from a rare form of dwarfism has become an Internet superstar after his owner posted a video to Facebook. Little Shammy's condition may make him smaller than his fellow equines - but that doesn’t stop him being mischievous and delighting his online fan base. After Michele posted a video to a Facebook page she set up for Shammy he quickly gained 5,000 fans so she decided to write a book about his exploits. Unfortunately his condition will inevitably lead to problems later on in life.

A tiny horse called Acer is believed to be Britain’s smallest steed at just 22 inches tall. Acer lives with his owner Maureen O’Sullivan at her Miniature Horse Farm in Corringham, Essex. The three-year-old sleeps in a small stable, plays in the field and even wanders around the family home. The little equine is best friends with a Labrador called Demon, who stands inches taller than the tiny horse. Acer was born with a rare condition called dwarfism, which means he didn’t grow properly in the womb.

Miniature horse
Miniature horses are found in many nations, particularly in Europe and the Americas. The designation of miniature horse is determined by the height of the animal, which, depending on the particular breed registry involved, is usually less than 34–38 inches (86–97 cm) as measured at the last hairs of the mane, which are found at the withers. While miniature horses are the size of a very small pony, many retain horse characteristics and are considered "horses" by their respective registries. They have various colors and coat patterns.
Miniature horses are friendly and interact well with people. For this reason they are often kept as family pets, though they still retain natural horse behavior, including a natural fight or flight instinct, and must be treated like an equine, even if they primarily serve as a companion animal. They are also trained as service animals, akin to assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Miniature horses are also trained for driving, equine agility, and other competitive horse show type events.

A TINY horse who suffers from a rare form of dwarfism has become an Internet superstar after his owner posted a video to Facebook. Little Shammy's condition may make him smaller than his fellow equines - but that doesn’t stop him being mischievous and delighting his online fan base. After Michele posted a video to a Facebook page she set up for Shammy he quickly gained 5,000 fans so she decided to write a book about his exploits. Unfortunately his condition will inevitably lead to problems later on in life.

A TINY horse who suffers from a rare form of dwarfism has become an Internet superstar after his owner posted a video to Facebook. A tiny horse called Acer is believed to be Britain’s smallest steed at just 22 inches tall. Acer lives with his owner Maureen O’Sullivan at her Miniature Horse Farm in Corringham, Essex. The three-year-old sleeps in a small stable, plays in the field and even wanders around the family home. The little equine is best friends with a Labrador called Demon, who stands inches taller than the tiny horse. Acer was born with a rare condition called dwarfism, which means he didn’t grow properly in the womb.

It appears an American satellite has found the likely spot where Europe’s Schiaparelli probe hit the surface of Mars on Wednesday, BBC News reported Friday. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has identified a large dark patch in the robot's targeted landing zone consistent with a high-velocity impact. Schiaparelli is widely thought to have crashed and been destroyed....
