I Will (Beatles song)

"I Will" is a song by the Beatles that was released on The Beatles. It was written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) and features him on lead vocal, guitar, and "vocal bass".

Background

"I Will" was one of the songs worked on by the Beatles and their associates while in Rishikesh, India. Although the music came together fairly easily, the words were worked on in India, and remained unfinished even as recording began back in London.

Recording

This quiet song required 67 takes, and George Harrison did not play (during The Beatles sessions, the Beatles often recorded in separate studios). However, the reason for Harrison's absence from the session has never been clarified.

During take 19 of "I Will", McCartney ad-libbed an untitled and uncopyrighted song (referred to as "Can you take me back?" by author Ian MacDonald), a 28-second segment of which ended up on side 4 of the album The Beatles as what MacDonald described as “a sinister introduction to "Revolution 9"”. Also ad-libbed by McCartney was "Los Paranoias", released, together with take 1 of "I Will", in 1996 on Anthology 3.

Won't Go Quietly

Won't Go Quietly is the second studio album from British recording artist Example. It was released as a digital download on 20 June 2010, with the physical release the following day. Noted producers that helped with the album include Calvin Harris, Sub Focus and Chase & Status. As of December 2012, the album has sold 265,000 copies in the UK.

Critical reception

Won't Go Quietly received generally positive reviews up on its release. Robert Copsey of Digital Spy gave a positive review stating that "Won't Go Quietly is an entertaining and relentlessly catchy collection from an artist who could, on first glance, be accused of shamelessly following the latest chart trends".BBC music also gave the album a positive review stating that it's "perfect contemporary chart material".

Quietly

Quietly is the third studio album by the atmospheric sludge metal band Mouth of the Architect. Recorded at Red Room Recording and Woodshed Studios in Seattle, WA, it was released on Translation Loss Records on 22 July 2008.

Following the departure of Gregory Lahm, original guitarist Alex Vernon returned to the band alongside new guitarist Steve Brooks. Kevin Schindel joined as permanent bassist. This left Watkins and Mann as the sole remaining members who recorded previous album The Ties That Blind. "Generation of Ghosts" features vocals by Julie Christmas (Battle of Mice, Made Out of Babies).

The album was released on gatefold CD, limited edition 300 translucent and rainbow splatter double LP and limited edition 700 solid black and white swirl double LP.

The End of the Innocence (album)

The End of the Innocence is the third studio solo album by Don Henley, the lead vocalist and drummer for the Eagles. The album was released in 1989, on Geffen Records, this would be his last release on that label. It was also his last solo album of the 1980s and it would be eleven years before he released another solo album, until 2000's Inside Job.

The album is his best selling album, selling over 6 million copies in the United States alone, peaking at #8. The album featured three Top 40 singles "The End of the Innocence", "The Heart of the Matter", and "The Last Worthless Evening". Those singles reached #8, #21, and #21 respectively. The album also featured "New York Minute" which reached #48 on the charts and was recorded by Henley and the Eagles for their live album Hell Freezes Over in 1994. Henley won another Grammy and an MTV Video Music Award for the title track. In 2003, the album was ranked at number 389 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
