Alice Pearce (October 16, 1917 – March 3, 1966) was an American actress. She was brought to Hollywood by Gene Kelly to reprise her Broadway performance in the film version of On the Town (1949). Pearce played comedic supporting roles in several films, before being cast as nosy neighbor Gladys Kravitz in the television sitcom Bewitched in 1964. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series posthumously after the second season of the series. She died from ovarian cancer in 1966.
Pearce was born in New York City, the only child of Margaret Clark and Robert E. Pearce. Her father was a foreign banking specialist, and her family moved to Europe when she was 18 months old. They lived in Brussels, Antwerp, Rome, and Paris. At age nine, she fell off of a swing after losing her grip and landed on her chin. This left her with an undeveloped chin. She returned to the United States as a teenager, and boarded at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1940, with a degree in drama.
Sean Patrick Astin (born Sean Patrick Duke; February 25, 1971) is an American actor, director, voice artist, and producer best known for his film roles as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mikey Walsh in The Goonies (1985), and the title character of Rudy (1993). In television, he appeared as Lynn McGill in season five of 24 and voices Raphael in the 2012 Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series and Oso in the Disney Junior show Special Agent Oso. Astin also served as the campaign manager for his friend, Democrat Dan Adler, a businessman in the entertainment industry, for California's 36th congressional district special election, 2011.
Astin was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of actress Patty Duke. At the time, it was reported that entertainer Desi Arnaz, Jr. was his biological father. When Michael Tell, a writer, music promoter and publisher of the newspaper The Las Vegas Israelite, came to sublet her apartment and offered to marry her as a way out of the scandal, Duke agreed. The marriage lasted only 13 days in 1970, and ended long before Astin was born.
Anna Marie "Patty" Duke (born December 14, 1946) is an American actress of stage, film and television. She first became famous as a child star, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 16 for her role in The Miracle Worker, which she had originated on Broadway. She later starred in the sitcom, The Patty Duke Show. She progressed to more mature roles upon playing Neely O'Hara in the 1967 film Valley of the Dolls. She was later elected president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1985 to 1988, succeeding her Patty Duke Show co-star William Schallert.
Duke was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1982; since then, she has devoted much of her time to advocating and educating the public on mental health issues.
In 1996, 30 years after The Patty Duke Show ended, Duke was ranked #40 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time.
Duke was born in Elmhurst, Queens, New York, the youngest of three children born of Frances (née McMahon), a cashier, and John Brock Duke, a handyman and cab driver. She is of German (from her maternal grandmother) and Irish descent (on both sides, her paternal grandparents, James and Katness (O'Hara) Duke, having immigrated to New York from County Longford, Ireland).

Two of the greatest appear in an episode of "Dennis the Menace". Dennis overhears Mr. and Mrs. Wilson hashing over the mistakes they made as partners in a game of bridge they played the previous night. Dennis relates a few statements out of context to Miss Cathcart of Miss Tarbell who start to salivate over the possibility of another newly single man in town. Watch Mary describe Wilson as a "Greek God". Clever script in this underrated series.

La guerra sigue,
mueren inocentes
y nadie escucha mi ruego.
Miles se van y no regresan más,
La Ambición,
Se apodera del Mundo.
Oh, Dios, Señor quiero saber,
Si otros sienten igual que yo.
Quiero gritar en alta voz,
Queremos tan solo Paz.
La madre ya esta sufriendo,
su hijo pronto se irá,
a la guerra destinado,
y quien sabe si volverá.
y los que pierden la vida,
con el tiempo se olvidaran.
Unos mandan y hay que obedecer,
poniendo en juego la vida.
Pido la Paz, rezando una oración,
mientras héroes mueren por mi patria.
O Dios, Señor, quiero saber,
si otros sienten igual que yo.
Quiero gritar en alta voz,
Queremos tan sólo Paz.
Paz, Paz, Paz…
