Orsu Metals

Orsu Metals Corporation, formerly European Minerals Corporation, is involved in natural resource exploration and development. The company's primary project is the development of a (2.34 million oz gold, 269 million pounds of copper) mine in Kazakhstan named Varvarinskoye. Orsu Metals is listed on both the Canadian and British stock exchanges under the ticker symbol "OSU".

In June 2008 after the acquisition of Lero Gold Corporation by European Minerals Corporation, the company changed its name to Orsu. Orsu Metals Corporation is a dual listed (AIM and TSX) new base and precious metal mining, production, exploration and development company which is operating an open pit copper-gold mine at the Varvarinskoye deposit in northern Kazakhstan and exploring advanced staged gold deposits in the Tien Shan gold belt in the Kyrgyz Republic and Rudny Altai belt in the Republic of Kazakhstan, one of the largest and most prolific gold belts in the world.

Varvarinskoye Project

The Varvarinskoye Project is Orsu's gold and copper development project in northern Kazakhstan. The resource has been defined (NI 43-101 compliant) with proven and probable reserves of 2.34 million ounces of gold and 269 million pounds of copper.

Orsu

Orsu is an LGA (Local Government Area) and tribe in the Imo State of Nigeria. Orsu is also the name of the dialect of this people. They are an Igbo sub-group located west of Orlu town to south of Ozubulu, north of Oguta and in the general areas around Oru, Orsu, Orlu, Njaba, Ihiala, Nnewi south and Oguta LGAs.

Over the years, the identity of the Orsu and their unique dialect of Igbo is fading away and a more centralized form of Igbo is popular among Orsu speakers.

Origin

The origin of Orsu cannot really be ascertained but different clans trace their origin to various sources.

More than 70% of Orsu's believe they are Oru by descent. The most popular ancient Orsu is Olaudah Equiano.

Şorsu is a village and municipality in the Shaki Rayon of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 1,942.

Sulaimaniyah International Airport

Sulaimaniyah International Airport (IATA: ISU, ICAO: ORSU) is an airport 15 kilometers outside the city of Sulaimaniyah, in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The airport has facilities for both cargo and passengers. Sulaimaniyah International Airport has three terminals for departures, arrivals and VIP. The construction of the airport began in November 2003, and it was inaugurated in July 2005.
