Marnie is a 13-year-old female Shih Tzu senior rescue dog adopted and owned by Shirley Braha. Photos of Marnie have been popular on Instagram and Twitter; as a result, Marnie's Instagram account has over one million Instagram followers and each of the photos have received hundreds of thousands of Instagram likes; Marnie's Twitter account has received over 75,000 followers. Braha also posts short videos of Marnie on Vine, which have also garnered significant attention.
In August 2012 Marnie was moved to an animal shelter by animal control as an abandoned street dog living in Connecticut. Four months later, she was adopted by Braha via Petfinder. Marnie's popularity originated from her photos on Instagram, under the handle @marniethedog, which Braha added to since 2014, and has since became popular. Marnie is especially famous for her permanent head tilt to the left, a result of a brief case of vestibular disease.
Marnie was a street dog living in Connecticut. In August 2012, Marnie was moved to an animal shelter by animal control and was nicknamed Stinky due to her pungent smell from living on the street. She had health problems, such as decaying teeth, partial visual impairment in her left eye, and partial hearing impairment before Marnie's adoption. Although Marnie's decaying teeth were removed and Marnie's vision was gradually restored, Marnie's hearing impairment still remains.

Simon Hanselmann’s comics don’t spare the bawdy, broke, bad-tempered extremes of its Saturday-morning cartoon characters. Megg and Mogg in Amsterdam takes the titular weed-addled witch and her feline partner out of the suburban home they’ve made in his previous work in Megahex, at VICE, and in mini-comics aplenty, all the way to the stoner capital of Europe. Taking the gang out of their familiar down-under backwater doesn’t lift them from their singular miasma of bleak moods, dire hijinx, and unclear boundaries--join Simon at Strand for a wild night of the same. Joining Simon in conversation is fellow cartoonist Katie Skelly, Brooklynite creator of Nurse Nurse, Operation Margarine, the ongoing My Pretty Vampire, as well as comics for the sex-positive website Slutist. She’s also written an...
