Large Aviary. Walk in Aviary Overview, Construction, Plantings, Birds @ Pheasantasiam.
The Pheasantasiam is around 33m² (355ft²) and was originally being built as a Pheasant aviary but now currently holds 25 birds from 6 different species. These birds are Lady Amherst Pheasants, Cockatiels, Quail, Ringneck (Barbary) Doves, Turquoisine (Grass Parakeets), Java Sparrows (Java Finch). The Chickens you see in my videos are free range and do not have access to the aviary although they always want to get in.
In this video the aviary (Pheasantasiam) is around 17 months old. In that time we have had 6 Java Sparrows born in the aviary as well as 2 Turquoisine parrots. These numbers would be a lot more if it wasn't for us removing nesting boxes. The Javas are always looking for places to make nests. The construction materials of the aviary are explained in the video.
Please do not use the Youtube supplied "Automatic Captions" unless you are doing so for a laugh, they are so inaccurate. If the need arises or I get the time I will type up some correct captions.
The aviary is fully planted with a natural earth base. It is easy to keep clean as the size is big enough for nature to take care of the droppings and seed is not wasted as it usually sprouts giving the birds a fresh source of greenery to eat.
This style of aviary is made a lot easier due to the very small amount of predators and rodents in the aviary location.
I am a collector of Palms also so the aviary has plenty of those. (Check out my channel if you wish to see more palm videos)

Bespoke design garden aviary or birdhouse the birds were breaking Into by the end of the build.
Consisting of 2 sections or 'birdhouses' of 6 metres length, 1.5m width and 3.4m height to the central ridge. Each of these two birdhouses are further sectioned into smaller caged enclosures housing different bird species in each.
The entire structure is covered with a single pitched roof that encloses both aviaries including a large open storage area in the corner of the garden and the walkway between the two sections that leads to a kitchen worktop and sink area also covered for preparing and cleaning food and equipment for the birds.
The timber was machined on site before being stained prior to assembly, the roof consisted of tongue and grooved pine boards, sheathed with sterling board and finally covered with felt shingles.

Many of you asking me about our birds. Our birds most of them were homeless or my fosters and my own birds. We adopted them, here is their forever home. I don't breed, or sell them. They stay in the house in their bird room at night, the aviary just for them during the day and play. For you question about" What kind of parrot is at 3:20 and 3:45?"

This is an indoor and outdoor we builded that protects our pet parrots from predators and allows them spend their day time in the aviary when it's sunny day. They enjoy the foraging, free flying, scream, bathe and sings . The aviary is easy cleaning at the end of the day as I rinse & flush the enclosure out, ready for next day when they go out. They can viewing the natural surroundings, enjoy the fresh air and nature sunlight. Our birds will be all go back in to the our house, sleep at night in their cage in the bird room.

A simple gravity-fed watering/bathing system for a domestic finch aviary. Easy to build. My favourite bird bath setup so far! :)
By the way, I also keep a separate container of clean water in the aviary at all times, just in case of an unexpected problem. Never rely on only one source of water in your aviary if you will be leaving it unsupervised for more than half a day!
The model of bird bath in this video is the Rocky Mountain Spring by Bird's Choice, which I imported from the US.

Because there were so many defects and problems assembling the cage that it took 10 days before it was completed! If you are thinking of buying anything from Cages By Design, make sure you read my full article before you spend a fortune on one and regret it. I am really happy to have an aviary for my parrots and after all of the hard work and modification I had made, I am sure it will be a great aviary for them. However, I am quite disappointed what a terrible product it turned out to me. Large Aviary. Walk in Aviary Overview, Construction, Plantings, Birds @ Pheasantasiam.
The Pheasantasiam is around 33m² (355ft²) and was originally being built as a Pheasant aviary but now currently holds 25 birds from 6 different species. These birds are Lady Amherst Pheasants, Cockatiels, Quail, Ringneck (Barbary) Doves, Turquoisine (Grass Parakeets), Java Sparrows (Java Finch). The Chickens you see in my videos are free range and do not have access to the aviary although they always want to get in.
In this video the aviary (Pheasantasiam) is around 17 months old. In that time we have had 6 Java Sparrows born in the aviary as well as 2 Turquoisine parrots. These numbers would be a lot more if it wasn't for us removing nesting boxes. The Javas are always looking for places to make nests. The construction materials of the aviary are explained in the video.
Please do not use the Youtube supplied "Automatic Captions" unless you are doing so for a laugh, they are so inaccurate. If the need arises or I get the time I will type up some correct captions.
The aviary is fully planted with a natural earth base. It is easy to keep clean as the size is big enough for nature to take care of the droppings and seed is not wasted as it usually sprouts giving the birds a fresh source of greenery to eat.
This style of aviary is made a lot easier due to the very small amount of predators and rodents in the aviary location.
I am a collector of Palms also so the aviary has plenty of those. (Check out my channel if you wish to see more palm videos)
I have lots of videos of the birds in the Pheasantasiam on my channel so please take a look if you want to see a specific type of bird more closely.

Consisting of 2 sections or 'birdhouses' of 6 metres length, 1.5m width and 3.4m height to the central ridge. Each of these two birdhouses are further sectioned into smaller caged enclosures housing different bird species in each.
The entire structure is covered with a single pitched roof that encloses both aviaries including a large open storage area in the corner of the garden and the walkway between the two sections that leads to a kitchen worktop and sink area also covered for preparing and cleaning food and equipment for the birds.
The timber was machined on site before being stained prior to assembly, the roof consisted of tongue and grooved pine boards, sheathed with sterling board and finally covered with felt shingles.

They enjoy the foraging, free flying, scream, bathe and sings . The aviary is easy cleaning at the end of the day as I rinse & flush the enclosure out, ready for next day when they go out. They can viewing the natural surroundings, enjoy the fresh air and nature sunlight. Our birds will be all go back in to the our house, sleep at night in their cage in the bird room.

By the way, I also keep a separate container of clean water in the aviary at all times, just in case of an unexpected problem. Never rely on only one source of water in your aviary if you will be leaving it unsupervised for more than half a day!
The model of bird bath in this video is the Rocky Mountain Spring by Bird's Choice, which I imported from the US.
