Anything can happen on live television, from the most absurd to the worst possible scenario of death. For the most part, nobody wanted to air the clips in this video but they are out there online for all to see. 1. The number 1 on the list is the most infamous terrorist attacks the world has ever seen and it all unfolded on live television. On
September 11, 2001, things started off like any other day for most. As most people would be arriving to work just before 9am, a plane was flown into the
North Tower of the
World Trade Centres and was followed
15 minutes later by a second plane into the south tower. The death toll was 2,753 people. There are only 2 confirmed videos of the first plane hitting the tower but so many others caught the 2nd one hit.
2. Jodon
Romero was caught live on
Fox News as he tried to evade the police after a car jacking. The chase prior to that had lasted over an hour. Fox was covering the chase via helicopter but they forgot to add a delay in case of something like this happening. As Romero saw he wasn't going to get away, he raised his gun to his temple and fired before slumping to the ground.

Vester Flanagan had recently been fired from his job at a small town
Virginia news station and felt he had to exact revenge; the only way he could think to do it was murder 2 innocent former co-workers. He murdered
Alison Parker and
Adam Ward in cold blood and then shockingly uploaded first person footage of the murders to social networks with his own commentary. After the shootings he fled the scene, faxed over a 23 page suicide note to the news station. Five hours later, police cornered
Flanagan in
Fauquier County, Virginia where he shot himself in an attempt to commit suicide.

It's quite difficult to feel sorry for someone who has squandered their million dollar fortune and then tried to trick their way back to being wealthy, but this is exactly what
Michael Marin tried to do. He was found guilty of arson in order to claim on his mansion's multi million dollar insurance policy, having been a once successful
Wall Street trader he had soon become bankrupt. As the guilty verdict was read out, the camera catches
Marin seemingly ingest something and its not long before the cyanide pill takes effect. He was pronounced dead before arriving at hospital

Live From Her Majesty's, was a hit television show in the 80s and millions would tune into see the stars of the time perform, one such hit was comedian
Tommy Cooper. During his main act he is seen to slump to the stage and start to breathe heavily all to the enjoyment of the laughing audience, all believing it to be part of the act. In reality, the 63 year old was having a heart attack at the time and it proved to be fatal.
6. It was in
1938 that the first ever death was recorded on camera, when
Marion Perloff jumped from the
Time and Life building in
New York. At the time,
NBC cameraman
Ross Plaisted was testing his video and audio equipment in
Rockefeller Center when he spotted a 28-year-old woman descending from the 11th floor. He picked up the shot when she reached the 6th floor and followed her with his lens all the way down. A mic picked up the sounds of her hitting the ground and the gathering crowd's commotion after her leap.

Budd Dwyer was the
Treasurer of Pennsylvania at the time of his death, at the time being investigated for corruption. It was in
1987 when he called a press conference for what was thought to be his resignation. The 47 year old continued his call of innocence until the very end and said he would not resign as treasurer. As he came to the end of his speech, he took out a pistol and shot himself, dying immediately.
8. There are many a question mark surrounding the assassination of
John F Kennedy but the man who was ultimately convicted of the murder was
Lee Harvey Oswald.
Oswald was being moved to a more secure jail at the time of his murder and as crowd of police and press gathered,
Jack Ruby,
Dallas nightclub owner, emerged from the crowd and shot him dead live on NBC. It was the first homicide ever aired live on
U.S. TV.
9. It was
1986 when millions watched the space shuttle
Challenger explode just 73 seconds into its flight, killing all 7 astronauts on board. It was the story of
Christa McAuliffe, who was set to be the first teacher in space that captured the nations attention, and
NASA had arranged to broadcast the full mission into many schools.

Shannon Stone was enjoying a game of baseball with his son when one of the players tossed him a baseball from the field, the 39 year old fireman reached over the rails to catch it but ended up toppling over the edge and falling 20 feet to the concrete ground below.
