Throughout July 2BR is launching its Swim Safe campaign.
We've teamed up with Air Rescue 24 and 'Doing it for Dylan' to raise funds to improve education and get vital equipment to help save lives across Lancashire.
In the past 3 years Lancashire Fire and Rescue service have been called out to 60 water rescues. Nationally, accidental drowning causes more than 400 deaths a year -- it is the third highest cause of death in children in the UK.
Throughout this month we'll hear from different people involved with the campaign and see the devastating impact open water swimming has had on one family from Lancashire.
We need your help to raise cash for an interactive truck that will tour Lancashire's schools to raise awareness of the dangers of swimming in open water and help save lives.

A visit to a former swimming baths local to myself , opened in 1986 by Lady Di .
In the 1980s this was the place to visit for modern swimming with a wave machine this was the best in the area before the crystal Centre opened a bit later on in Stourbridge , completely smashed and stripped but weird the power still on with big lights burning .I would have liked to have made a better job of filming but was a bit rushed and wasn't feeling the best .

Leisure centre
A leisure centre in the UK, Ireland, Australia (also called aquatic centres) and Canada is a purpose built building or site, usually owned and operated by the city, borough council or municipal district council, where people go to keep fit or relax through using the facilities.
Typical facilities
Facilities may include a swimming pool (many with water slide), large sports hall, squash courts, cafeteria, licensed bar, fitness suite, aerobics studios, outdoor grass and/or artificial pitches for football (soccer), hockey etc., a solarium, sauna and/or steam room.
Leisure centres in the UK and Canada are staffed by leisure centre attendants employed by the local council. They carry out a range of tasks to help and supervise people using leisure centre facilities and act as swimming pool life guards, gym instructors and coaches offering advice, motivation and expertise to users. Many of its functions may overlap with that of a community centre.
Leisure centres are also popular in Australia, where they are mostly privately operated but Government funded. In that country they are often also called Recreation Centres, or most commonly Aquatic Centres due to the swimming facilities being the most popular facility that is available.

In the 1980s this was the place to visit for modern swimming with a wave machine this was the best in the area before the crystal Centre opened a bit later on in Stourbridge , completely smashed and stripped but weird the power still on with big lights burning .I would have liked to have made a better job of filming but was a bit rushed and wasn't feeling the best .
