Runway is the name of two fictional characters from the Transformers series. Both are Mini-Cons who turn into jets.
The first Runway is the name of a Mini-Con who turns into a jet. He is the leader of the Air Defense and Air Assault teams, and combines with his companions Jetstorm and Sonar to form the Star Saber. Runway is always coming up with ideas.
Runway makes his first appearance in Transformers: Armada in the episode # 5, "Soldier". While being still deactivated, he is found first by Starscream in the crevasse in Antarctica. But hardly the latter succeeds in getting the Mini-Con panel out of the ice wall when Red Alert takes it away from him. However, the 'Bots don't yet know that the Mini-Cons of a team can be activated only when they are all together. So Runway (together with Jetstorm) remain "sleeping" till Megatron invades the A-Base, accompanied by Sonar who awakens his team-mates forming the Star Saber. Since then Star Saber becomes the longed-for loot for both the Autobots and Decepticons.
