Challenge 2

Challenge 2 is a 2012 Bengali action comedy film directed by Raja Chanda starring Dev and Pooja Bose in lead roles. The film is not a sequel to the 2009 Bengali film Challenge; it contains a very different storyline. Major parts of the movie were shot in Malaysia, Dubai and Mumbai besides Kolkata. Challenge 2 is a remake of 2011 Telugu film Dookudu, directed by Srinu Vaitla and starring Mahesh Babu and Samantha.

Plot

IPS Officer Abhiraj Roy a.k.a. Abhi (Dev) is a daring super-cop in Mumbai. He is on a mission to apprehend a mafia don, Guru Nayak (Ashish Vidyarthi), who is involved in illegal drug trade, extortion, and arms trafficking. His father, Debraj Roy (Tapas Paul), who was a politician driven by idealistic values and a sense of social service, met with a fatal accident. It is later revealed that Debraj actually survived the accident but ended up in a state of coma. However, this truth is hidden by their family from the people. Abhi maintains a low profile to catch Guru Nayak. In an undercover operation in Malaysia, Abhi gets hold of Guru Nayak's brother Bunty (Surajit Sen). Later, it is revealed that one corrupt businessman, Apurba Ghosh (Dipankar Dey), was the mastermind behind Debraj's accident.

Jeet Gannguli

Jeet Gannguli (born Chandrajeet Ganguly, Bengali: চন্দ্রজিৎ গাঙ্গুলী), popularly known as Jeet, is a music composer and singer of Bengali and Hindi movies. Gannguli was initiated into the world of music at the age of three. He was a student of Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School from where he completed his schooling. Later he graduated from the University of Calcutta. He is trained in Indian classical music under the guidance of his father Kali Ganguly and his pisima (father's sister) Shibani Roychowdhury. He studied western classical music, jazz and rock with jazz guitarist Karlton Kitto. Gannguli is a music director in Bollywood, scoring music for films.

Gannguli got his first break when Sanjay Gadhvi was signed on to direct Tere Liye and he, in turn, signed on his friends Jeet Gannguli and Pritam as music composers. In 2002 Yash Raj Films signed Gadhvi up to direct Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, for which the Gannguli-Pritam duo composed the music.

After the duo parted ways, Jeet has started scoring music for Hindi and Bengali films, TV serials and jingles. Jeet Gannguli is currently managed by Tarsame Mittal Talent Management. Jeet Ganguly has also composed music for a single track sung by well known singer Sonu Nigam,'aa bhi ja tu kahin se'.

Suraj Jagan

Suraj Jagan is an Indian playback singer. He is noted for the song Give Me Some Sunshine from the award-winning movie 3 Idiots. The song received the "Best Emerging Male Performer" award in the Max Stardust Award. Jagan's singing career began in 1990, and has included both solo work and as front man for the rock band Dream Out Loud. He has also worked in advertising jingle campaigns, Bollywood playback singing, acting in theatre productions and an acting role in the Bollywood film Rock On!! & "Hunterrr".

Television and film work

Suraj Jagan began his career working in ad jingles, including the jingle You and I in this beautiful world for the award-winning "Hutch TVC" ad, before making his Bollywood debut with the song Hum Naujawan Hai from the movie Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi in 1997. The song was given to him by fellow rock vocalist Vishal Dadlani, who was one of the music directors of the film.

From 2007 onwards his Bollywood playback songs included "Hey Jhonny" from Johnny Gaddaar, Dum Lagaa from Dil Dosti Etc and "No Big Deal" from Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. He has also sung the song Zehreelay from the movie Rock On!! where he actually performed the song in the movie. He played a part in composing the song and starred in a short cameo in the film with the role of 'Ajay'. The blog Aspi's Drift claimed at the time that Zehreelay was the first Death Metal song used in a Hindi film.
