Pakkam

Pakkam is a village which is located in Chennai in the Thiruvallur District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated around 34 km from Chennai. Pakkam comes under Chennai Metropolitan Area and it is very close to Thirunindravur which has frequent train servises.

Pakkam is an agricultural village with a lot of temples in Pakkam including Anjaneyar Temple, Sri Ellaiamman Temple, Vinayagar Temple, Sri Balambikai Samedha Thazhuvakozhundeeswarar(Sivan)Temple and Sri Sridevi Boodevi Samedha Kariamanicka Perumal Temple.

Vijay Sethupathi

Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi (born 16 January 1978), known as Vijay Sethupathi, is an Indian film actor, producer, lyricist, and dialogue writer who appears in Tamil films. Following a stint as an accountant, he begun considering an acting career. He was working as a background actor, playing minor supporting roles for over five years, before playing his first lead role in Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010). He went on to star in Sundarapandian (2012), Pizza (2012), Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012) (which brought his initial recognition), Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (2013), which earned critical & commercial success, turned Vijay Sethupathi into a popular name in Tamil cinema.

Early life

Vijay Sethupathi was born in Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District and moved to Chennai when he was in Class six. He did his schooling in MGR Higher Secondary School in Kodambakkam. According to Sethupathi, he was a "below-average student right from school" and was neither interested in sports nor extra-curricular activities.

Hip hop

Hip hop or hip-hop is a sub-cultural movement that formed during the early 1970s by African-American and Puerto Rican youths residing in the South Bronx in New York City. It became popular outside of the African-American community in the late 1980s and by the 2000s became the most listened-to musical genre in the world. It is characterized by four distinct elements, all of which represent the different manifestations of the culture: rap music (oral), turntablism or DJing (aural), b-boying (physical) and graffiti art (visual). Even while it continues to develop globally in myriad styles, these four foundational elements provide coherence to hip hop culture. The term is often used in a restrictive fashion as synonymous only with the oral practice of rap music.

The origin of the hip hop culture stems from the block parties of the Ghetto Brothers, when they plugged in the amplifiers for their instruments and speakers into the lampposts on 163rd Street and Prospect Avenue and used music to break down racial barriers, and from DJ Kool Herc at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, where Herc mixed samples of existing records with his own shouts to the crowd and dancers. Kool Herc is credited as the "father" of hip hop. DJ Afrika Bambaataa of the hip hop collective Zulu Nation outlined the pillars of hip hop culture, to which he coined the terms: MCing or "Emceein", DJing or "Deejayin", B-boying and graffiti writing or "Aerosol Writin".

Santhosh Narayanan

Santhosh Narayanan (born 15 May 1983) is an Indian film composer and musician in the Tamil film industry. Santhosh Narayanan made his debut as a film composer in the 2012 Tamil film Attakathi.

Early life

Santhosh Narayanan did his schooling in RSK Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli and college in J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Tiruchirapalli. After completing his education, he briefly worked as an assistant to composer A. R. Rahman. He worked as a recording engineer, before beginning to produce independent music and compose background score for films. He scored the music including two songs for the acclaimed short film Advaitham, and produced the score for the Telugu thriller film Nenu Meeku Telusa along with another Rahman protege, Sakti. He was also part of the contemporary folk music band La Pongal with whom he performed in a few shows in 2009.
