ALBUM COVER ART: http://i59.tinypic.com/30kayjn.jpg What?! Two Star Trek suites within a month? Here's the much-anticipated Suite 5! This piece covers The Next Generation and Generations (24th Century). It's also very likely to be the longest of the Star Trek suites at over an hour! There are so many good themes from TNG that I could easily have made a second suite just of the great music from that series. There's no way I could have featured all the music I wanted to, so I hope this is a nice sampling of what TNG had to offer. I tried to hit some of the most memorable moments - the pilot, Tasha Yar's death, Best of Both Worlds, The Inner Light, Romulans, and of course the finale All Good Things. Star Trek Generations was especially nice too as it transitions easily from TNG music, since Dennis McCarthy worked on both and has a similar sound. It is one of my favorite Star Trek movie scores, and was the first soundtrack I remember getting on Compact Disc when I was young. One thing I really wanted to do was have a "complete" Best of Both Worlds suite. This means that it combines music from both TNG episodes, as well as the Battle of Wolf 359 from DS9's "Emissary", and hints of First Contact - specifically "Locutus", which I interpreted as Picard's dream of what happened to him during those episodes, and even a hint of the Borg Queen's theme. The Inner Light was also requested and is of course one of the best episodes of the show, so I tried to feature not only the iconic theme, but also some of the surrounding music from that episode. Note to viewers: This is NOT a music video. The still image is just for something appropriate to look at, but this is primarily an audio piece. I hope you enjoy what I put together!
