Natacha Atlas musical journey began in the movement of Punk. A well traveled and eccentric character she ventured into an open space of cultural music from around the world. She was bilingual or the truth is she was really a "polyglot" the possession of such a gift was sharpened by her fascination with Middle Eastern Music.A difficult genre to aspire to it because of its intricate mathematics she rode the style with grace and integrity. With a belly dancing interest she managed to convince very conservative ears to accept her. With multiple albums and awards she continues to cut the wings and fly in a world which would not allow her had she not shown her love for the art.
Coexisting Lyrics in translation: O night Oh Why, my love My love, why My Love why are you like that (cruel) when I love you so? Why My love, Why My love, why are you like that, when I love you? My love, why are you like that, when I love you? Why? I, I know that you love me Why, oh the time that passes My soul Oh where is the justice, your honour the judge? Oh there is no mercy at your hands My torment, to you is nothing. Oh why? My love, why like that? When I love you so? You made me love you Why, why, why My master Oh Why Oh my love One day you will face your fate and ask for mercy from my inspiration Oh my soul I have mourned, mourned, mourned There is no mercy at your hands And my torment, to you is nothing.

Oriental Diva Natacha Atlas gives interview to british journalists on her album 'Something Dangerous'(2003) in arabic and english.
Interview.

You better stop the things that you do
I ain't lyin', no, I ain't lyin'
I just can't stand it babe
The way you're always runnin' 'round
I just can't stand it, the way you always put me down
I put a spell on you because you're mine
