T/I: 10:10:10 10:20:05 At least seven people were killed and 25 were wounded in Karachi on Monday (22/5) during a strike called to protest alleged repression by the country's security forces. The demonstration, organised by the ethnic Mohajir National Movement (MQM), virtually paralysed the port city. Witnesses said upto 20 buses were set on fire and dozens of cars and buses were damaged in a hail of stone throwing. Roads were almost empty and most shops in central Karachi were closed.
