David is seen as a major Prophet in Islamic traditions. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040–970 BC, his reign over Judah c. 1010–1003 BC,[citation needed] and his reign over the United Kingdom of Israel c. 1003–970 BC.[citation needed] The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan stele records "House of David", which some take as confirmation of the existence in the mid-9th century BC of a Judean royal dynasty called the "House of David".
David is very important to Jewish, Christian and Islamic doctrine and culture. In Judaism, David, or David HaMelekh, is the King of Israel, and the Jewish people. Jewish tradition maintains that a direct descendant of David will be the Messiah. In Islam, he is known as Dawud, considered to be a prophet and the king of a nation. He is depicted as a righteous king, though not without faults, as well as an acclaimed warrior, musician, and poet, traditionally credited for composing many of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms.

There was plenty to take in across the clip – not only did it offer your first glimpse of one of the game’s main playable characters, Connor, but it also offered a taste of Detroit’s branching gameplay, where your every action can alter the path the story takes.
Following the reveal, we sat down with the game’s creator, David Cage, to gain a little more insight into what players can expect from the upcoming PS4 title. Watch the video below for more.

Sony RX100-IV - 250fps Candle Blow-Out
Probably my favourite video shot with the RX100-IV, this is a 250fps near-full HD shot from the RX100-IV as I blow out a candle. I found it's the best balance between video quality and seeing the slow-motion effect. Though higher FPS shows the flame & smoke coiling in slower motion, the effect is diluted by the lower quality of the video. Still, great fun shooting it and the results at 250fps are fantastic! Probably my favourite video shot with the RX100-IV, this is a 250fps near-full HD shot from the RX100-IV as I blow out a candle.
I found it's the best balance between video quality and seeing the slow-motion effect. Though higher FPS shows the flame & smoke coiling in slower motion, the effect is diluted by the lower quality of the video. Still, great fun shooting it and the results at 250fps are fantastic!

I smell the fog that hung about the place; I see the hoar frost, ghostly, through it; I feel my rimy hair fall clammy on my cheek; I look along the dim perspective of the schoolroom, with a sputtering candle here and there to light up the foggy morning, and the breath of the boys wreathing and smoking in the raw cold as they blow upon their fingers, and tap their feet upon the floor. It was after breakfast, and we had been summoned in from the playground, when Mr. Sharp entered and said:
'David Copperfield is to go into the parlour.'
I expected a hamper from Peggotty, and brightened at the order. Some of the boys about me put in their claim not to be forgotten in the distribution of the good things, as I got out of my seat with great alacrity.
'Don't hurry, David,' said Mr. Sharp. 'There's time enough, my boy, don't hurry.'
I might have been surprised by the feeling tone in which he spoke, if I had given it a thought; but I gave it none until afterwards. I hurried away to the parlour; and there I found Mr. Creakle, sitting at his breakfast with the cane and a newspaper before him, and Mrs. Creakle with an opened letter in her hand. But no hamper.
'David Copperfield,' said Mrs. Creakle, leading me to a sofa, and sitting down beside me. 'I want to speak to you very particularly. I have something to tell you, my child.'
Mr. Creakle, at whom of course I looked, shook his head without looking at me, and stopped up a sigh with a very large piece of buttered toast.
'You are too young to know how the world changes every day,' said Mrs. Creakle, 'and how the people in it pass away. But we all have to learn it, David; some of us when we are young, some of us when we are old, some of us at all times of our lives.'
I looked at her earnestly.
'When you came away from home at the end of the vacation,' said Mrs. Creakle, after a pause, 'were they all well?' After another pause, 'Was your mama well?'
I trembled without distinctly knowing why, and still looked at her earnestly, making no attempt to answer.
'Because,' said she, 'I grieve to tell you that I hear this morning your mama is very ill.'
A mist rose between Mrs. Creakle and me, and her figure seemed to move in it for an instant. Then I felt the burning tears run down my face, and it was steady again.
'She is very dangerously ill,' she added.
I knew all now.
'She is dead.'
There was no need to tell me so. I had already broken out into a desolate cry, and felt an orphan in the wide world.
She was very kind to me. She kept me there all day, and left me alone sometimes; and I cried, and wore myself to sleep, and awoke and cried again. When I could cry no more, I began to think; and then the oppression on my breast was heaviest, and my grief a dull pain that there was no ease for.
And yet my thoughts were idle; not intent on the calamity that weighed upon my heart, but idly loitering near it. I thought of our house shut up and hushed. I thought of the little baby, who, Mrs. Creakle said, had been pining away for some time, and who, they believed, would die too. I thought of my father's grave in the churchyard, by our house, and of my mother lying there beneath the tree I knew so well. I stood upon a chair when I was left alone, and looked into the glass to see how red my eyes were, and how sorrowful my face. I considered, after some hours were gone, if my tears were really hard to flow now, as they seemed to be, what, in connexion with my loss, it would affect me most to think of when I drew near home--for I was going home to the funeral. The Baldwins celebrate Christina's birthday. Scott, Serena, and Charlene are making preparations when Lee and Gail arrives. Lee and Gail congratulate Scott, who is a little down because of Karen's absence. Lucy brings Christina in so they coo over her. Victor arrives with a present, explaining that Mary had to work. Eve and Kevin also arrive. Lee asks Scott if he's talked to Lucy about the deal with Frank. Scott says he's tried but she doesn't want to listen, so he's going to go ahead with it and then tell her later. They open a big present from Scott--a doll house that Scott and Serena made. Neil, Courtney, and Frank arrive. Lucy looks unhappy about their presence. Serena invited them so Lucy didn't know. Frank and Courtney offer to leave but Scott tells them to stay and enjoy the party. Lucy has to go along with it. Lucy tenses up every time Serena mentions that Neil is Christina's brother. Frank is still not forgiving Courtney, who keeps apologizing. Kevin chats with Lucy. She wishes Frank weren't there but he tells her not to worry about him. Serena presents the sisters' book she made for Christina. Lucy asks them all to tell the most important memory they have of Christina as Charlene records it in the book and Lee videotapes it. Charlene tells Lucy a touching story. Gail remembers her christening and how she was proud that she was christined Christine Gail. Kevin also remembers that day. Eve remembers when she held her at Serena's birthday party. Neil remembers when she saved his life and when he found out she was his sister. Serena remembers when they brought her home from the Nurse's Ball. Scott remembers when she smiled at him the first time. Lucy remembers when she first came home. She says Christina is "absolutely pefect". They blow out her one candle and start having cake. Frank and Scott discuss their deal. Frank worries about Lucy's reaction. Later, Lucy and Scott clean up after the party. Lucy is happy about how well the party went. Scott thanks her for letting Frank stay and says he wants to talk to her about Frank spending time with Christina. She doesn't want to hear about it. He tells her that he told Frank he could spend time with Christina tomorrow. Lucy is upset and can't understand why he would do it. She storms out of the room.
Chris brings Julie flowers to cheer her up but she's not home. He sees a fairy tale book on the couch which is open to a picture of a castle. He looks worried and rushes out. He finds Julie in the abandoned amusement park where Christina was born, with birthday decorations all around. Julie is determined to have a party to celebrate, even if Christina can't be there. He says they'll fight but she says she'll never get Christina. She tells him that Lucy will never be able to tell Christina about the day she was born, so they reminisce about that day. Chris says it was the first time he realized he was falling for Julie. Julie echoes Lucy in saying Christina was "absolutely pefect". Chris tries to get her to cheer up by saying they can get her back. He lights the candle on the cake and says they get one free birthday wish. She makes her wish and blows out the candle. He pledges to make her wish come true.
Nurse Gabrielle tells Ian and Joe that there is a multiple-victim accident with bicyclists. Joe notes that this was Karen's specialty. Ian asks how she's doing and is pleased to hear that she's in rehab. Ian is kind of cranky at Gabrielle but Joe smooths things over. She is a little nervous about her first day in the ER (and they are short-handed). Things go fine, but Ian yells at Gabrielle for not being able to put an IV in the patient's arm. Joe tells Ian to back off. Gabrielle beats herself up as much as Ian does. Joe and Ian bicker some more. Later, Joe finds Gabrielle punching a pillow and tells her not to take Ian's rudeness personally. She says that he was right to berate her. Joe tries to cheer her up. She is grateful and there seems to be some chemistry.

And that is very fortunate because today is Robert's birthday! First I queued up taking a vacation day for each of them while they were asleep. Rocky woke up to call in to work first but immediately Rebecca and Robert woke up and did the same. I had them take care of their basic needs before sending them out to have a birthday party.
Once arriving at the party location at the public pool I had plopped in Willow Creek all manner of chaos ensued. The caterer didn't show up or something. I'm not sure if that was user error on my part or if this is just par for the course with me when it comes to these events. I think I'm cursed when it comes to birthdays in the Sims 4. I have yet to have a "successful" one in any of my on or off screen game play. Not only do I suck at social events in real life, it seems I suck at them in simulation as well :-(
Robert ends up embarrassing himself, Rocky stands around, Rebecca wanders off the lot and down the street at one point. I end up having Rebecca bake the birthday cake since there is no stinking caterer. It takes her 4 times as long to do this because it seems every Sim on the lot suddenly wants to crowd around the tiny utility kitchen I had pre-placed on the lot for this very purpose. Some random Sim had started making BLT but left it on the one cabinet surface so Rebecca had to clean that up first. Then every other Sim kept distracting her so much so that by the time she had finished the cake I had failed the birthday party. NO MEDAL FOR YOU!
Anyway, I finally got Robert to blow out the candles before he auto-aged up at least. That's a first for me in the Sims 4! If only I could have just one successful birthday party in the Sims 4 at some point in this Legacy that ought to be worth a million points, lol.
So, yeah. That all happened. In the next part I'll take Robert into plan outfits mode and we'll take a good look at him and probably give his randomly generated teen styles a tweak or two.

It takes her 4 times as long to do this because it seems every Sim on the lot suddenly wants to crowd around the tiny utility kitchen I had pre-placed on the lot for this very purpose. Some random Sim had started making BLT but left it on the one cabinet surface so Rebecca had to clean that up first. Then every other Sim kept distracting her so much so that by the time she had finished the cake I had failed the birthday party. NO MEDAL FOR YOU!
Anyway, I finally got Robert to blow out the candles before he auto-aged up at least. That's a first for me in the Sims 4! If only I could have just one successful birthday party in the Sims 4 at some point in this Legacy that ought to be worth a million points, lol.
So, yeah. That all happened. In the next part I'll take Robert into plan outfits mode and we'll take a good look at him and probably give his randomly generated teen styles a tweak or two.
