Miss USA 2015, is the 64th Miss USA pageant, which was held on July 12, 2015 at the Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Nia Sanchez of Nevada crowned Olivia Jordan Thomas from Oklahoma at the end of the event. All fifty states and the District of Columbia competed for the crown. The winner will represent the USA in the Miss Universe 2015 competition.
The 2015 pageant was affected due to remarks made by Miss Universe Organization owner Donald Trump regarding Mexican immigrants, which led longtime Miss USA broadcaster NBC and incumbent rightsholders Univision Communications and Televisa to terminate their relationships with the Organization and Trump himself along with the defections of the pageant's originally announced hosts, judges and musical performers in protest of the remarks made during Trump's speech announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination for U.S. President on June 16, 2015.

The first use of the title "Miss Universe" was as part of International Pageant of Pulchritude which began in 1926. These events, the first international contests, lasted until 1935 when the Great Depression and other events preceding World War II led to their demise. This pageant had no direct relationship with the modern event.
The winner of the later "Miss America 1951" pageant, Yolande Betbeze, refused to pose in a swimsuit from its major sponsor, Catalina swimwear. As a result, the brand's manufacturer Pacific Mills withdrew from Miss America and set up the Miss USA and Miss Universe contests. The first Miss Universe Pageant was held in Long Beach, California in 1952.
The contest was founded in 1952 by California clothing company Pacific Mills. The pageant became part of Kayser-Roth and then Gulf and Western Industries, before being acquired by Donald Trump in 1996.
The pageant was first televised in 1955. CBS began nationally broadcasting the combined Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants from 1960 and, separately, from 1965. In 2003 NBC took over the television rights.
In 1998, Miss Universe changed its name from Miss Universe, Inc. to Miss Universe Organization and the headquarters moved from Long Beach, Los Angeles to New York City that year. Donald Trump brought in a new team of professionals to the contest headed by its new CEO, Molly Miles, and president Maureen Reidy. Miles coined the slogan "Redefined for Today" for promotion of the pageants. That year, the new Miss Universe logo was born: The Woman with the Stars, which is still used today.

Tami Nichole Farrell (born October 5, 1984) is a beauty queen from Phoenix, Oregon who was Miss Teen USA 2003 and became Miss California USA, succeeding the dethroned Carrie Prejean, in 2009.
Tami Farrell won her first title, Miss Oregon Teen USA in 2002 and reigned until she won the Miss Teen USA 2003 title in Palm Springs, California on August 12, 2003. She also won the "Miss Congeniality" award at the same pageant. Farrell was the third representative of Oregon to win the pageant.
By winning the pageant, Farrell had the opportunity of making television and modeling appearances for Donald Trump and NBC. Some of the other prizes included sharing a luxurious Manhattan apartment with the reigning Miss Universe and Miss USA, the Mikimoto crown and tiara, a six-week "Summer in the City" scholarship to The School for Film and television in New York City and a yearlong salary for appearances at charity events and movie premieres
As Miss Teen USA, Farrell represented the Miss Universe Organization. Her "sister" 2003 titleholders were Amelia Vega (Miss Universe, of the Dominican Republic) and Susie Castillo (Miss USA, of Massachusetts). In addition, during her reign as Miss Teen USA, Farrell helped raise just over $21 million dollars for American Heart Association, The Sparrow Club and much more. She gave up her title to Shelley Hennig of Louisiana in Palm Springs on August 6, 2004.
Farrell later moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She spent the summer of 2005 in New York City, attending the summer intensive program of the School for Film and Television in New York.
Since giving up the crown, Farrell has also judged a number of state pageants, including Miss Washington USA 2006 and Miss California USA 2006. She has also made a guest appearance on the NBC soap Passions as part of one her many prizes for winning the 2003 Miss Teen USA pageant.

The organization on Monday issued a statement slamming Trump's use of the word "stutterer" as an insult aimed at Seth Meyers, host of Saturday's White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
"Shame on you, Mr. Trump!" said Jane Fraser, president of the Memphis, Tenn.-based group. "We at the Stuttering Foundation find it discouraging that in 2011, Donald Trump has chosen to use the word 'stutterer' in a derogatory fashion, something to be made fun of, to describe Seth Meyers' speech at the annual White House Correspondents' dinner."

Rima Fakih
Rima Fakih (Arabic: ريما فقيه) (born September 22, 1985) is a Lebanese-American actress, model, wrestler and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss USA 2010. She represented the state of Michigan in the national pageant, having previously won the 2010 Miss Michigan USA pageant. Fakih trained to be a WWE Diva in WWE. She competed on the fifth season of WWE Tough Enough but was eliminated from the show on the fourth episode.
Personal life
Fakih was born in Srifa, a small city in the Jabal Amel region of Southern Lebanon, to a Shi'a Muslim family. As a young child, she lived in the village of Souk El Gharb in Mount Lebanon, and attended St. Rita's, a Catholic school near Beirut. In 1993, her parents, Hussein and Nadia Fakih, moved their family to New York in order to escape effects of the Lebanese Civil War. Fakih attended St. John's Preparatory School, a Catholic high school in Queens, and her father ran a restaurant in Manhattan. In New York, Fakih's family felt they were subjected to threats and vandalism based on events in the Middle East, and business at her father's restaurant declined following the September 11, 2001, attacks. In 2003, her family moved to the large Arab-American community in Dearborn, Michigan. Fakih and her family are Shia, but they also celebrate elements of Christianity, such as Christmas. Fakih resides in Dearborn. She graduated from Henry Ford Community College, went on to earn degrees in economics and business management from the University of Michigan–Dearborn, and plans to attend law school after her year-long reign. She has a sister, who returned to live in Lebanon, and two brothers. Prior to winning the Miss USA title, she worked as a sales associate at the Detroit Medical Center, developing and recruiting in the Arab American community.

Farrell later moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She spent the summer of 2005 in New York City, attending the summer intensive program of the School for Film and Television in New York.
Since giving up the crown, Farrell has also judged a number of state pageants, including Miss Washington USA 2006 and Miss California USA 2006. She has also made a guest appearance on the NBC soap Passions as part of one her many prizes for winning the 2003 Miss Teen USA pageant.

This was said by Maher in response to Trump having previously challenged Obama to produce his birth certificate, and offering $5 million payable to a charity of Obama's choice, if Obama produced his college applications, transcripts, and passport records.[439][440] Trump produced his birth certificate and filed a lawsuit after Maher was not forthcoming, claiming that Maher's $5 million offer was legally binding. "I don't think he was joking," Trump said. "He said it with venom."[439] Trump withdrew his lawsuit against the comedian after eight weeks.

In 2005, trump married the model Melania Knaus who is younger than his 24 years. The billionaire called his third wife, the love of his life that filled his inner world with happiness and peace. Wedding gift to Melanie was a ring with a diamond weighing 13 carat for $ 1.5 million, which he received as an advance from the jewelry firm Graff. A year after the marriage the couple had a son.

In 2005, trump married the model Melania Knaus who is younger than his 24 years. The billionaire called his third wife, the love of his life that filled his inner world with happiness and peace. Wedding gift to Melanie was a ring with a diamond weighing 13 carat for $ 1.5 million, which he received as an advance from the jewelry firm Graff. A year after the marriage the couple had a son.
