In fact, the number of competitors for this event here at Nats has tripled since last year, from 63 up to 182. In this seminar, three of the continent's fastest Square-1 solvers would like to walk you through the event, and what there is in store in the future. We'll concentrate on the most popular method, Vandenbergh, and go through base methodology, tricks for beginners on how to get faster, and expansion methods for more advanced solvers that would like to push their times even further, such as OBL, CPP, PBL tricks, and CSP. We think that Square-1 is a fascinating event with a ton of room for even more improvemen...

(16.44), 8.72, 13.33, (7.49), 11.76 Overall I'm sort of upset with this average. My goal was to get an average like this, but every solve except the 8 and 7 I messed up pretty badly. (I guess the only answer is to learn csp so i can avg sub 9 :P) 7.49 single with full reaction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90E4fVmpGgc

Apologies for the loud singing - I was excited Express Yourself Don't Tell Me Imagine Like a Prayer Pt 1
Single is fifth right now but will be sixth when another competition from this weekend has its results uploaded. Average is fourth which is the highest I've been so far (11.24 was fifth). In the DNF, I think I accidentally stopped the timer at the beginning of the solve. You can see my hand move a bit when I go to start the timer which probably caused it. Bad solve anyway (someone else got a 9.04, but it was a different solution). On the last solve, I didn't align the layers properly when doing an alg at the end, so I had to do a U perm as well. It would have very likely been a 6 or 7 and maybe ER single which is why I was disappointed.
In my debut video, I describe one of the easiest ways to solve the Square-1, which is my favorite WCA-regulated event. This method is a watered-down version of the Lars Vandenbergh method, which is the most popular advanced Square-1 method. If you enjoyed this video, make sure to like it and subscribe if you think I should continue. Bubye! Cube: CubeTwist

When you're lonely, what do you do?
Never say that you don't know. Sleep, play, browsing
magazines.
Lonely times are indeed lonely.
Today, the invisible cellular signals are again tu lu

Anyway, with the vectors of my heart, so many reasons
are said.
We'd like to fly freely in the sky, but we have no
place to spread our wings.
But believe.
There are futures without form. I want to make a form
of it, so I am here.
As you wait for the wind before taking off, I smile at
you.
You're not a machine that performs perfectly every
time. You don't have to make a show out of failure.
True courage lies in the fact that you were moving your
broken wings.
Say how you never make any excuses.
Cool eyes that never say anything. Are you being
silent, running way, or maybe scowling?
Or is it that you understand? I can't sense it.
Let me hear your true feelings tu lu tu tu It's
overflowing.
Any day, you strive to be so kind, but your smile
always has pain behind it.
You treat new people as if they were just background.
You carry your lonely face on your perplexed journey.
Your back all hunched up.
There are tears that will never stop. Friends that
refuse to leave you are right here.
You reach out your hand toward someplace, surely we'll
go there someday.
There are plently of unsatisfactory things right?
That's why there are lots to wish for.
It's true that mistakes can be made, but thoughts can
yet fly to the dreams.
We'd like to fly freely in the sky, but we have no
place to spread our wings.
