This video shows the Beach Campground and Beach area at Holland State Park in Michigan. The state park is on the beach on Lake Michigan.
Holland State Park has great campgrounds including one right on Lake Michigan along with beach access (both on Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan). The Holland Harbor Light (or "Big Red") can be seen from the park although it is on the south side of the harbor.
I originally planned to do this video back in July 2011, but I was unable to get into the beach portion of the park due to how busy it was. I am glad I was able to get in this time!

Holland
Holland is a region in the western part of the Netherlands. The term Holland is also frequently used as a pars pro toto to refer to the whole of the Netherlands. This usage is generally accepted but disliked by Dutch people in the other parts of the Netherlands.
From the 10th century to the 16th century, Holland proper was a unified political region, a county ruled by the Counts of Holland. By the 17th century, Holland had risen to become a maritime and economic power, dominating the other provinces of the Dutch Republic.
Today, the former County of Holland consists of the two Dutch provinces of North Holland and South Holland, which together include the Netherlands' three largest cities: country capital Amsterdam; seat of government The Hague; and Rotterdam, home of Europe's largest port.
Pliny the Elder (AD 23–79) referred to this region as the land between the Helinium and Flevo ("inter Helinium ac Flevum"), the names of the mouths into which the Rhine divided itself, the first discharging its waters in the Mosa in the neighbourhood of Brielle and the second into "the lakes of the north" (present IJsselmeer). The name Holland first appeared in sources in 866 for the region around Haarlem, and by 1064 was being used as the name of the entire county. By this time, the inhabitants of Holland were referring to themselves as "Hollanders".Holland is derived from the Middle Dutch term holtland ("wooded land").[citation needed] This spelling variation remained in use until around the 14th century, at which time the name stabilised as Holland (alternative spellings at the time were Hollant and Hollandt). Popular, but incorrect etymology holds that Holland is derived from hol land ("hollow land") and was inspired by the low-lying geography of Holland.[citation needed]

State parks are parks or other protected areas managed at the federated state level within those nations which use "state" as a political subdivision. State parks are typically established by a state to preserve a location on account of its natural beauty, historic interest, or recreational potential. There are state parks under the administration of the government of each U.S. state, and of some states of Mexico. The term is also used in Australia, though the distinction between state and national parks there is different. The equivalent term in Canada is provincial park. Similar systems of local government maintained parks exist in other countries, but the terminology varies.
State parks are thus similar to national parks, but under state rather than federal administration. Similarly, local government entities below state level may maintain parks, e.g. regional parks or county parks. In general, state parks are smaller than national parks, with a few exceptions such as the Adirondack Park in New York and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in California.

Holland State Park has great campgrounds including one right on Lake Michigan along with beach access (both on Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan). The Holland Harbor Light (or "Big Red") can be seen from the park although it is on the south side of the harbor.
I originally planned to do this video back in July 2011, but I was unable to get into the beach portion of the park due to how busy it was. I am glad I was able to get in this time!

In a huge open-air area between Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, every ten years an international exhibition of garden architecture is held, the Floriade. It features hundreds of blossoming show gardens that are admired by millions of visitors from all over the world. In the 16th century life on the ocean wave brought glorious times for the city of Edam that is now world famous for its cheese of the same name. More than thirty shipyards once prospered in the city and the fleet of legendary Dutch hero, Michiel De Ruyter, was built there. Mijmegen lies proudly on the banks of the River Waal. The origins of Holland’s oldest city are to be found in the Roman settlement of Noviomagum. The triangular market square of this university and Hanseatic town is dominated by the Waag House, a red-bricked building of Renaissance design. The Molens Van Kinderdijk is a fascinating landscape of windmills and a Unesco World Heritage Sight. Its nineteen windmills are world famous and of course typical of Holland. The fascination of old cities, dreamy fairytale-like villages, paintings by some of the world’s greatest artists, bicycles and windmill: Holland is very much a land of the familiar and also the exotic.

In 1567, the much-traveled Italian, Lodovico Guicciardini, referred to Amsterdam as 'The Venice of the North'. Today, the view across the main square and royal castle gives little hint that the city is supported by stakes and that Amsterdam is the largest lakeland village in the world.
The bicycle is one of the city's main features. Parking spaces have been designed specially for this mode of transport and it shows that even in a large city, there is an alternative way of getting about.
In the city centre, there are nearly 7,000 protected houses and warehouses, most of which date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The 300 year old Magere Brug is of wood construction and is one of the most beautiful drawbridges in the world.
The Bloemenmarkt has been in existence since the 17th century and in bygone days, fresh flowers were delivered by boat and sold on board. Here a great variety of colorful tulips and bulbs is offered for sale, as well as many exotic plants and seeds.
New Church is almost 600 years old but due to it's lack of worshippers, it is now used as a venue for exhibitions and concerts which fund its continued maintenance. Built around 1300 A.D., Old Church is the oldest religious building in the city. During the Middle Ages, it served as a refuge for vagrants but today it is surrounded by a sex and entertainment district.
In 1682, the city fathers decided to create a leisure area east of the city, in the centre of which the Artis Zoo was subsequently established, the oldest zoo on the European continent.
Amsterdam possesses an inescapable charm that is adored by both aged hippies and trendy teenagers alike. It is Europe's irresistible 'Capital of Cool'!

Holland Travel Video Guide
The European kingdom of Holland, known also as the Netherlands, was until relatively recently a powerful trading nation that possessed many colonies.Most of this land of tulips, windmills and canals is located below sea level and in the 17th century was the most prosperous country in Europe. Amsterdam is Holland`s splendid metropolis, a city of canals and gables where almost anything is permitted as long as it does no harm. Today the view across the main square and royal castle gives little hint that the city is supported by stakes and is the largest lakeland village in the world. In a huge open-air area between Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, every ten years an international exhibition of garden architecture is held, the Floriade. It features hundreds of blossoming show gardens that are admired by millions of visitors from all over the world. In the 16th century life on the ocean wave brought glorious times for the city of Edam that is now world famous for its cheese of the same name. More than thirty shipyards once prospered in the city and the fleet of legendary Dutch hero, Michiel De Ruyter, was built there. Mijmegen lies proudly on the banks of the River Waal. The origins of Holland’s oldest city are to be found in the Roman settlement of Noviomagum. The triangular market square of this university and Hanseatic town is dominated by the Waag House, a red-bricked building of Renaissance design. The Molens Van Kinderdijk is a fascinating landscape of windmills and a Unesco World Heritage Sight. Its nineteen windmills are world famous and of course typical of Holland. The fascination of old cities, dreamy fairytale-like villages, paintings by some of the world’s greatest artists, bicycles and windmill: Holland is very much a land of the familiar and also the exotic.

This is one of a series of videos designed for various needs:- as a calming sound to play in the background while studying or as a soothing sound to play while you sleep. These videos can be used for many relaxation requirements, let me know how you use this video. With each video there will be a tip to help you with your studying or how to achieve a relaxed sleep.

Mental Preparation for study.
Your motivation for learning should be clear. Set clear goals and objectives, keep in mind that top grades can lead to higher earnings and a better quality life, learn to work for them.
Get into the habit of doing a minimum daily 10min. mindfulness meditation exercise, (increasing the duration as you become more proficient), sit comfortably, focus your attention for a couple of minutes on your breathing, observe your breath entering and leaving your body. As your thoughts start to distract you, consciously bring your attention back to your breath. When you're relaxed and focused, visualize yourself at your study desk accomplishing everything you want to do during that day, visualize yourself retaining all that information. Visualize yourself achieving the results you want. Visualize the quality of life you want from your efforts.
Practicing mindfulness will assist you in an exam situation to focus on the task at hand.
Know when you are 'Switched On'. Try to be aware of your bio clock and what time of the day you work best. Optimise by revising when you work best but keep an eye on the exam date and time. You will need to get used to working at that hour.
Do the challenging revision first,when you are fresh. Trying to focus on complex problems when you are tired can be difficult. Break your study sessions down to 20-30 minute segments, Your memory and concentration will work better if you study in short bursts, but often.

New Jersey was the site of several decisive battles during the American Revolutionary War.
In the 19th century, factories in cities such as Camden, Paterson, Newark, Trenton, and Elizabeth helped to drive the Industrial Revolution. New Jersey's geographic location at the center of the Northeast megalopolis, between Boston and New York City to the northeast, and Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., to the southwest, fueled its rapid growth through the process of suburbanization in the 1950s and beyond...
New Jersey prospered through the Roaring Twenties. The first Miss America Pageant was held in 1921 in Atlantic City, the Holland Tunnel connecting Jersey City to Manhattan opened in 1927, and the first drive-in movie was shown in 1933 in Camden. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the state offered begging licenses to unemployed residents, the zeppelin airship Hindenburg crashed in flames over Lakehurst, and the SS Morro Castle beached itself near Asbury Park after going up in flames while at sea.
In 1951, the New Jersey Turnpike opened, permitting fast travel by car and truck between North Jersey (and metropolitan New York) and South Jersey (and metropolitan Philadelphia).
In the 1960s, race riots erupted in many of the industrial cities of North Jersey. The first race riots in New Jersey occurred in Jersey City on August 2, 1964. Several others ensued in 1967, in Newark and Plainfield. Other riots followed the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in April 1968, just as in the rest of the country. A riot occurred in Camden in 1971.
