Poco tiempo después, Jorge Negrete falleció el 5 de diciembre de 1953 en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California, a causa de la enfermedad crónica originada por una Hepatitis C contraída en su juventud y que le había sido diagnosticada cuando estaba en educación secundaria. Aunque nunca bebió alcohol, en cambio fumó toda su vida, sin que esto afectase su voz.
Su tormentosa e intermitente relación con Gloria Marín así como los conflictos de la ANDA, no obstante su resistencia física, le habían llevado a un súbito deterioro de su salud. En la ciudad de Los Ángeles asistió Negrete a una pelea del boxeador mexicano Raúl Macías, cuando se reventó una de las várices del esófago y estómago con vómito de sangre (hematemesis) y con la presión del hígado produciéndole una hemorragia que obligó a su pronto traslado al Hospital Lebanon Cedars permaneciendo en coma durante varios días. Su esposa María Félix, así como su madre Emilia Moreno, sus hermanos y los integrantes del trío Los Panchos acudieron para presenciar sus últimos momentos. El sacerdote José López y Ocampo, de la parroquia de Guadalupe del Sur de California, le aplicó la extrema unción.
El día de su muerte fue considerado luto nacional y se guardaron cinco minutos de silencio en todos los cines del país. Solamente en el aeropuerto de la Ciudad de México se congregaron cerca de 10000 personas para recibir su cadáver. Una valla humana de cientos de miles de admiradores bordeó el trayecto del Teatro de la Asociación Nacional de Actores (hoy Teatro Jorge Negrete) hasta el Panteón Jardín, al sur de la Ciudad de México.
A los pocos días, José Alfredo Jiménez, Luis Aguilar, Trío Calaveras, Amalia Mendoza, Antonio Badú, entre muchos otros artistas, le rindieron tributo en un cortometraje musical.
Cada aniversario de su muerte se reúnen grandes cantidades de admiradores ante su tumba, y en diversos países latinoamericanos se transmiten programas especiales por radio y televisión dedicados a su memoria.

Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno (November 30, 1911 December 5, 1953) is considered one of the most popular Mexican singers and actors of all time.
Negrete was born in Guanajuato where he was raised together with his brother and three sisters: David, Consuelo, Emilia and Teresa, and also lived in San Luis Potosí. He graduated with the rank of sub-lieutenant from El Colegio Militar, Mexico's military academy.
Handsome, with a very strong will and a trained, fascinating voice, he is still a top idol in Mexico, Spain and Latin America, more than 50 years after his death. His recording of "México Lindo y Querido" ("Beautiful and Beloved México"), his country's unofficial anthem, is the best known recording of the song. His career is often compared to that of Pedro Infante, the best known and most popular Mexican actor of the time. The public rivalry didn't carry over to their private lives, as they were close friends until Negrete's death.
He married twice, to famous actresses with whom he shared credits: Elisa Christy (with whom he had a daughter, Diana Negrete) and María Félix. He also lived with his frequent co-star, for more than ten years. Gloria Marín co-starred in 10 out of his 44 films.
He started his career singing on the radio in 1931 in Mexico City singing operatic parts. In 1936 he signed with NBC for a television program with Cuban and Mexican musicians. He returned to Mexico in 1937 to act in the film "La Madrina Del Diablo" ("The Devil's Godmother") and because of the success of the film he was able to sign for several more the next three years. In 1938 he starred in "La Valentina" with Elisa Christy and then in "Juntos Pero No Revueltos" ("Together But Not Mixed").
After working in Havana and Hollywood he was called to act in "¡Ay Jalisco, No Te Rajes!" ("Hey Jalisco, Don't Back Down!") which made him an international Latin star and helped formulate the charro film genre. Filming this movie he met Gloria Marín, starting their romance and the string of movies they filmed together. He complemented his film career by singing rancheras with the trio Los Tres Calaveras and touring Latin America, singing concerts and making personal appearances.
He was offered the main role in "El Peñon de las Ánimas" ("The Rock of Souls") and wanted Marín to be his co-star. In spite of his protests, newcomer María Félix became his star and eventually his wife, although they at first despised each other while filming the movie.
He was one of the founders, and the most important leader, of the Mexican Actors Association (ANDA), succeeding Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" as its chairman. He was a fierce advocate for the rights of film professionals in Mexico.
He was the first to die of the Tres Gallos Mexicanos, or 'Three Mexican Roosters' (as he, Infante and Javier Solís, a younger star, were called; the three died within a span of 13 years). Negrete died in Los Angeles during a professional visit, of hepatitis, an illness with which he had been infected while working as a musician in New York. According to his wishes, his body was flown back to, and buried in, Mexico City. Thousands of fans attended his funeral and followed the hearse to the cemetery, El Panteón Jardín, where he was buried in the actors corner. On December 5, fans still pay tribute to the El Charro Cantor (Singing Mexican Horseman) at his tomb, and television and radio stations stage marathons of his films and songs.

Negrete
Negrete (Spanish pronunciation: [neˈɣɾete]) is a Chilean town and commune in Bío Bío Province, Bío Bío Region. It is bordered by the commune of Los Ángeles to the north, Renaico to the south, Mulchén to the east and Nacimiento to the west.
The town of Negrete is located on the south shore of the Bío Bío river, a few kilometers downstream of the confluence of the Bío Bío and Bureo rivers.
History
The town has its origins in the fort San Francisco de Borja founded near the hill Mesamávida in 1603 by Governor Alonso de Ribera. This was 10 km to the northeast of the present location of the town, near the confluence of the Bio Bio River and the Duqueco River, on the north shore of this last river. In 1613 Ribera moved to the fort to atop Mesamávida, renamed Cerro Negrete. In 1621, Pedro Osores de Ulloa rebuilt the fort and a small village began at the base of the hill. In 1757, Governor Manuel de Amat y Juniet, granted the town the title of Villa de Negrete. In 1777, a new fort San Agustín de Mesamávida was built on the Cerro Negrete by Ambrosio O' Higgins by order of Governor Agustín de Jáuregui.

Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈxorxe neˈɣɾete]; 30 November 1911 – 5 December 1953) is considered one of the most popular Mexican singers and actors of all time.
Life and career
Negrete was born and raised in the City of Guanajuato and had one brother and three sisters; Negrete also lived in San Luis Potosí. From an early age, Negrete demonstrated a great brilliance and rapidly became a prominent student in the eyes of his teachers. He spoke five languages: Spanish, German, English, French, Italian, and Nahuatl (a Mesoamerican language). Despite his brilliance, Negrete decided to abandon his studies at the age of thirteen to enroll in the military. He graduated with the rank of sub-lieutenant from El Colegio Militar, Mexico’s military academy. This was the place where his fascination for music developed. Not only did he develop an interest for music but his military training forged him a gallant presence and character which would later benefit him in his acting career. Negrete met and studied under José Pierson, a prestigious singing professor, who became fascinated the moment he heard Negrete sing. Pierson helped Negrete develop his talent for Opera which led him to become well known in the United States.

Poco tiempo después, Jorge Negrete falleció el 5 de diciembre de 1953 en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California, a causa de la enfermedad crónica originada por una Hepatitis C contraída en su juventud y que le había sido diagnosticada cuando estaba en educación secundaria. Aunque nunca bebió alcohol, en cambio fumó toda su vida, sin que esto afectase su voz. Aunque nunca bebió alcohol, en cambio fumó toda su vida, sin que esto afectase su voz.
Su tormentosa e intermitente relación con Gloria Marín así como los conflictos de la ANDA, no obstante su resistencia física, le habían llevado a un súbito deterioro de su salud. En la ciudad de Los Ángeles asistió Negrete a una pelea del boxeador mexicano Raúl Macías, cuando se reventó una de las várices del esófago y estómago con vómito de sangre (hematemesis) y con la presión del hígado produciéndole una hemorragia que obligó a su pronto traslado al Hospital Lebanon Cedars permaneciendo en coma durante varios días. Su esposa María Félix, así como su madre Emilia Moreno, sus hermanos y los integrantes del trío Los Panchos acudieron para presenciar sus últimos momentos. El sacerdote José López y Ocampo, de la parroquia de Guadalupe del Sur de California, le aplicó la extrema unción.
El día de su muerte fue considerado luto nacional y se guardaron cinco minutos de silencio en todos los cines del país. Solamente en el aeropuerto de la Ciudad de México se congregaron cerca de 10000 personas para recibir su cadáver. Una valla humana de cientos de miles de admiradores bordeó el trayecto del Teatro de la Asociación Nacional de Actores (hoy Teatro Jorge Negrete) hasta el Panteón Jardín, al sur de la Ciudad de México.
A los pocos días, José Alfredo Jiménez, Luis Aguilar, Trío Calaveras, Amalia Mendoza, Antonio Badú, entre muchos otros artistas, le rindieron tributo en un cortometraje musical.
Cada aniversario de su muerte se reúnen grandes cantidades de admiradores ante su tumba, y en diversos países latinoamericanos se transmiten programas especiales por radio y televisión dedicados a su memoria.

Tourism Officials focus on highlighting aspects of Mexico's tourism industry, including its 4,000 archeological sites, 37 World Heritage Sites, 14 AAA Five-Diamond hotels and 623,000 hotel rooms. Some show lesser-known vacation activities, such as diving with whale sharks and snorkeling in an underwater museum in Cancun. the tourism board says :"Mexico. The Place You Thought You Knew."

Rodolfo Lopez Negrete, COO of the Mexico Tourism Board, said international visitation to Mexico is on the rise from every country except the U.S., its "mother market," where it has fallen 6.5 percent.'
However, only to mention the airports, Mexico Tourist Arrivals at Airports Rise 13% to December Record. Mexico received 1.07 million foreign visitors at its airports in December, 13 percent more than a year earlier and a record for the last month of the year, the Ministry of Tourism said.
It was the 5th consecutive month of increased visitor numbers, the ministry, known as Sectur, said in a statement on January 26,2012. U.S. visitors increased by 11 percent from the previous December, according to the statement.

Tourism Officials focus on highlighting aspects of Mexico's tourism industry, including its 4,000 archeological sites, 37 World Heritage Sites, 14 AAA Five-Diamond hotels and 623,000 hotel rooms. Some show lesser-known vacation activities, such as diving with whale sharks and snorkeling in an underwater museum in Cancun. the tourism board says :"Mexico. The Place You Thought You Knew."
For mexican people it means this year is a very specific year as it is the beginning of a new era. The energy is very much there as unique and as it was in the world at the time of the discovery of the Americas... as if a new world was to be.

National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) archaeologist Miguel Perez Negrete, man in charge of the project, stated that main relevance of Tehuacalco lies on the fact of being a Yope culture ceremonial center that possibly because of its peculiar geographical location was a nation that Aztec Empire never was able to subjugate.
Tehuacalco, word related to Nahuatl tehuacalli offers 4 different visits: Prehispanic Monuments, Petroglyphs, Sacred Landscapes and Regional Flora and the Fauna. It is important because it was one of the few seigniories that managed to remain independent from Mexica power, A peculiar characteristic of this archaeological zone is its location between 4 prominent hills, which mark the 4 cardinal points, an important archaeoastronomical site.
Among monumental buildings already consolidated by restoration and conservation experts, the Ballgame court and La Incinera pyramid outstand. In this structure took place Sun, water and time count ceremonies: A glyph related to Venus and the 52 years cycle found here indicates so.

Petroglyphs related to rites were found here. Piedra de los Pies Pintados (Painted Feet Stone), which presents carved human footprints outstands.
Tehuacallis are hand carved caves where ritual food was offered to deities. 54 of them have been found, some of them with offerings and petroglyphs representing circles and rectangles.
The visit has been designed so architecture and petroglyphs are enjoyed along with nature and landscape. Guerrero State Government provided resources to build the site museum, services area and other infrastructure.
