Franz Liszt composed his Prometheus in 1850, numbering it No. 5 in his cycle of symphonic poems when he revised it in 1855. The work is based on the Greek myth, Prometheus.
In 1850, Franz Liszt composed an overture and eight choruses with orchestra accompaniment for Johann Gottfried Herder's Der entfesselte Prometheus (Prometheus Unbound), a mythological work of thirteen scenes meant as a sequel to Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound. This was to be performed for the Herder Festival scheduled for August of that year in Weimar. Liszt gave indications for the orchestration, and from these notes Liszt's helper Joachim Raff produced a score which was used in the first performance. This concert commemorated the unveiling of a monument to Herder on August 24, 1850. In 1855 Liszt revised both the overture and the choruses, which resulted in the expansion of the overture to a symphonic poem and the choruses to a concert stage work.
The work that was composed to illustrate the imprisonment, pain, hope, and the final triumph of Prometheus turned out to be incomprehensible to the contemporary public due to the many dissonances that accompany the piece. The choral parts ended too soon and were unusable, while the overture acquired own life thanks to the multiple intentional executions and direction from Hans von Bülow.

His symphonic poem Neptune is a revised version from Disaster at Sea, a musical honoring to the sinking of RMS Titanic, which happened on April 15, 1912 far of the coast of Newfoundland and certainly fractured the spirit of absolute certainty the British Empire fostered as one of its staunchest principles. In this revised version, Scott omitted most of the programmatic elements and replaced them with abstract imagery and reminiscences of tunes. However, there is a general sense of impending doom against the will and power of Neptune, the unrelenting God of Sea.

Franz Liszt composed his "Orpheus" in 1853-4, numbering it No. 4 in his cycle of 12 symphonic poems written during his time in Weimar, Germany. It was first performed on February 16, 1854, conducted by the composer, as an introduction to the first Weimar performance of Christoph Willibald Gluck's opera "Orfeo ed Euridice".
"Orpheus" is one of four symphonic poems Liszt composed as character sketches of men of creative genius, heroism or legend. (The other three poems are Tasso, Prometheus and Mazeppa.) In his preface Liszt describes an Etruscan vase depicting Orpheus, then extols civilizing effect on humanity. This reference to the ennobling effect of Orpheus and his art may have been derived from the Orpheus depicted by the Lyon philosopher Pierre-Simon Ballanche in "Orphée" in 1829.
"Orpheus" is not a long work and takes the form of a gradual crescendo followed by a quiet ending which returns to the mood of the opening. Unlike many of Liszt's other symphonic poems, the music here remains largely contemplative. For this reason, it became a favorite piece of Liszt's son-in-law, the composer Richard Wagner.
Formally, "Orpheus" is a modified sonata form with a secondary key area containing two themes. The second theme lacks the energy of the first, remaining a static motif hovering over oscillating major and minor harmonies. Nevertheless, it contains an especially poignant quality. This theme is presented by various solo instruments to a primarily harp accompaniment. The orchestration, together with the style, suggests an interpretation of this theme as Orpheus' voice.
The ethereal, chromatic ascent in the final bars attenuates any decisive closure that could be expected from a more conventional harmonic resolution. Combined with the closing theme of the second group, this ends the work as a cryptic vision which recalls the final moments of Ballanche's story. There the story's narrator, Thamyris, witnesses Orpheus disappearing into the clouds, leaving mankind the task of developing his teachings of civilisation.

Symphonic poem
A symphonic poem or tone poem is a piece of orchestral music, usually in a single continuous movement, which illustrates or evokes the content of a poem, short story, novel, painting, landscape, or other (non-musical) source. The German term Tondichtung (tone poem) appears to have been first used by the composer Carl Loewe in 1828. The Hungarian composer Franz Liszt first applied the term Symphonische Dichtung to his 13 works in this vein.
While many symphonic poems may compare in size and scale to symphonic movements (or even reach the length of an entire symphony), they are unlike traditional classical symphonic movements, in that their music is intended to inspire listeners to imagine or consider scenes, images, specific ideas or moods, and not (necessarily) to focus on following traditional patterns of musical form such as sonata form. This intention to inspire listeners was a direct consequence of Romanticism, which encouraged literary, pictorial and dramatic associations in music. According to Hugh Macdonald, the symphonic poem met three 19th century aesthetic goals: it related music to outside sources; it often combined or compressed multiple movements into a single principal section; and it elevated instrumental program music to an aesthetic level that could be regarded as equivalent to, or higher than opera. The symphonic poem remained a popular composition form from the 1840s until the 1920s, when composers began to abandon the genre.

In 1855 Liszt revised both the overture and the choruses, which resulted in the expansion of the overture to a symphonic poem and the choruses to a concert stage work.
The work that was composed to illustrate the imprisonment, pain, hope, and the final triumph of Prometheus turned out to be incomprehensible to the contemporary public due to the many dissonances that accompany the piece. The choral parts ended too soon and were unusable, while the overture acquired own life thanks to the multiple intentional executions and direction from Hans von Bülow.

His symphonic poem Neptune is a revised version from Disaster at Sea, a musical honoring to the sinking of RMS Titanic, which happened on April 15, 1912 far of the coast of Newfoundland and certainly fractured the spirit of absolute certainty the British Empire fostered as one of its staunchest principles. In this revised version, Scott omitted most of the programmatic elements and replaced them with abstract imagery and reminiscences of tunes. However, there is a general sense of impending doom against the will and power of Neptune, the unrelenting God of Sea.

Franz Liszt composed his "Orpheus" in 1853-4, numbering it No. 4 in his cycle of 12 symphonic poems written during his time in Weimar, Germany. It was first performed on February 16, 1854, conducted by the composer, as an introduction to the first Weimar performance of Christoph Willibald Gluck's opera "Orfeo ed Euridice".
"Orpheus" is one of four symphonic poems Liszt composed as character sketches of men of creative genius, heroism or legend. (The other three poems are Tasso, Prometheus and Mazeppa.) In his preface Liszt describes an Etruscan vase depicting Orpheus, then extols civilizing effect on humanity. This reference to the ennobling effect of Orpheus and his art may have been derived from the Orpheus depicted by the Lyon philosopher Pierre-Simon Ballanche in "Orphée" in 1829.
"Orpheus" is not a long work and takes the form of a gradual crescendo followed by a quiet ending which returns to the mood of the opening. Unlike many of Liszt's other symphonic poems, the music here remains largely contemplative. For this reason, it became a favorite piece of Liszt's son-in-law, the composer Richard Wagner.
Formally, "Orpheus" is a modified sonata form with a secondary key area containing two themes. The second theme lacks the energy of the first, remaining a static motif hovering over oscillating major and minor harmonies. Nevertheless, it contains an especially poignant quality. This theme is presented by various solo instruments to a primarily harp accompaniment. The orchestration, together with the style, suggests an interpretation of this theme as Orpheus' voice.
The ethereal, chromatic ascent in the final bars attenuates any decisive closure that could be expected from a more conventional harmonic resolution. Combined with the closing theme of the second group, this ends the work as a cryptic vision which recalls the final moments of Ballanche's story. There the story's narrator, Thamyris, witnesses Orpheus disappearing into the clouds, leaving mankind the task of developing his teachings of civilisation.

It is obvious that some creatures in this world are very weird looking, creepy and quite mysterious. Believe it or not, there are creatures out there that still needs an explanation as to where it has come from, and within this countdown, we are showing the strangest and realest looking ones caught on tape that many believe to be real. So buckle up, and remember, Im here with you, no need to be scared, Ajem.. With this being said, here are 5 Unknown Creatures Caught On Camera & Spotted In Real Life! Lets...Begin!
1. Encounter in the Graveyard
The video your about to see was recorded in one of the years before 2007 which gained quite a massive popularity during its time on YouTube, lets say it was the fist ever viral video of the unknown. The video shows a man wondering around a graveyard late at night filiming his way to see if he were to see something paranormal roaming around, and in fact he did. Like I said, Im here with you.. so no need to be scared. Ready? Well.... here.... is the footage.
2. The Crying Ghost
This might possibly might be one of the few times you wont feel bad about seeing someone cry. And I say possibly because that someone could be a paranormal looking creature in one of the corners of your house, just like in the footage about to be shown. People think that the humanoid looking creature shown in this video is a ghost but what do you think? Here it is....
3. Small Unknown Creature
In the video your about to see, 2 young kids appear to be playing with a video camera and kicking a soccer ball when all of a sudden, something very small and weird looking runs across one of the rooms in the house where the kids were playing at. People believe that the mysterious looking creautre shown in this video is the so called famous Goblin, also known as the small annoying creeper. But not everyone is 100% sure as to what it is exactly. So you be the judge on this one, here...is the footage.
4. The Hampton Court Sighting
The video your about to see was recorded in the Hampton Court Palace which is one of the British royal palaces located in Richmond upon Thames, London. Inside the CCTV security camera, a ghostly cloaked figure can be seen opening and closing one of the doors of the Palace Graveyard again and again.. Further analysis of the footage shows the ghostly looking figure with a skeletal face which was given the nickname "Skeletor". And if you didnt know, the Hampton Court Palace happens to be one of the most haunted places in the UK... Anyways, enough with the talk right? Here...is the footage.
5. The Unidentified Creature
In the footage about to be shown, a guy is seen walking in the Weld Valley located in Australia in a peaceful afternoon. After recording all day to capture his first visit into the Weld Valley, the anonymous person recording gets home and is completely shocked after he sees what he has accidently caught on camera. By the looks of it, the strange looking creature about to be shown looks like an alien but it is still unidentified as of today. So YOU be the judge...Here....is the video.
