A Man

A Man (1979) (Italian: Un Uomo) (Greek: Ένας Άνδρας, transliteration: Enas Andras) is a novel written by Oriana Fallaci chronicling her relationship with the attempted assassin of Greek dictator George Papadopoulos.

Plot summary

The book is a pseudo-biography about Alexandros Panagoulis written in the form of a novel. Fallaci had an intense romantic relationship with Panagoulis. She uses the novel to put forth her view that Panagoulis was assassinated by a vast conspiracy, a view widely shared by many Greeks.

The work has had mixed reviews. Some will find the harsh polemic repetitive and disturbing. Fallaci is said to have been angry at Ms Magazine for not reviewing the work and this enhanced her reputation as an anti-feminist.

Lost in Music is a 1979 single by the American vocal group Sister Sledge. Taken from their album We Are Family, it was written and produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards (of the group Chic).

"Lost in Music" was one of the group's biggest hits. It reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart (along with "We Are Family" and "He's The Greatest Dancer") for two weeks in March 1979, while charting at #35 on the US Billboard R&B chart (then called the Hot Soul Singles chart)). It also reached the UK top twenty in three separate decades. The original version reached #17 in 1979, while a "Special 1984 Nile Rodgers Remix" reached #4 in 1984. In 1993, the 'Sure Is Pure' remix reached #14.

In 2006, the 'Special 1984 Nile Rodgers Remix' was used in the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories soundtrack. Two years later, the song featured prominently in the karaoke style game show Who Dares, Sings!, being performed by the presenters at the start of each show.

The song was covered by British post-punk band The Fall on their 1993 album The Infotainment Scan.

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound and silence. The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements.
