Very rare footage of the infamous Italian Fascist leader Benito Mussolini. In his Fox movietone newsreel footage from March 1929, he speaks in English (!) - Not so many people don't know, but Mussolini could speak English, French and German fluently, although he had very strong accent when speaking English.
Mussolini says (Roughly transcribed);
"I am very glad to be able to express my feelings to the American nation. Friendship which Italy looks to millions of citizens who from..... from Pacific to Atlantic..... United States is very deeply rooted in our hearts.
This feeling created by mutual interest in preparation of an even brighter era in the life of both nations. I agree - the wonderful energy of the American people and I feel....... my fellow citizens who are working to make America great.

No living soprano could outsing Mercedes Capsir (1895-1969). In 1916, she made her debut at the Liceo in Barcelona, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Teatro Nacional San Carlos in Lisbon, the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, as well as at the Paris Opera in 1917. Gilda was her debut role at all these opera houses.
Her Italian debut took place in Bologna, as Rosina in ''Il Barbiere di Siviglia'', followed by Elvira in ''I Puritani'', in Venice, opposite Giacomo Lauri-Volpi, she also appeared in Rome, before reaching La Scala in Milan, in 1924, again as Gilda, opposite baritone Carlo Galeffi and tenor Miguel Fleta, and conducted by Arturo Toscanini.
Capsir sang mainly in Europe, and in a very limited repertory, other roles included: Amina in ''La Sonnambula'', Lucia in "Lucia di Lammermoor'', and Violetta in ''La Traviata''.
Born Vincenzo De Muro, Enzo De Muro Lomanto (Tenor) studied in Naples, adding "Lomanto" to his name to avoid confusion with another tenor, Bernardo De Muro. He made his debut at Catanzaro, as Alfredo, in 1925. Shortly afterwards, he appeared at the San Carlo in Naples, as Cavaradossi. He made his La Scala debut in 1928 as Tonio. De Muro Lomanto made a number of records and can be heard in the first complete recording of Lucia di Lammermoor, opposite Mercedes Capsir. He married the lyric soprano Toti Dal Monte in Sydney, Australia, during a 1928 operatic tour. The wedding party created international headlines when it gave the Fascist salute on the steps of St Mary's Cathedral. He died in 1952, aged 49, in Naples, from undisclosed causes.

Capsir sang mainly in Europe, and in a very limited repertory, other roles included: Amina in ''La Sonnambula'', Lucia in "Lucia di Lammermoor'', and Violetta in ''La Traviata''.
Born Vincenzo De Muro, Enzo De Muro Lomanto (Tenor) studied in Naples, adding "Lomanto" to his name to avoid confusion with another tenor, Bernardo De Muro. He made his debut at Catanzaro, as Alfredo, in 1925. Shortly afterwards, he appeared at the San Carlo in Naples, as Cavaradossi. He made his La Scala debut in 1928 as Tonio. De Muro Lomanto made a number of records and can be heard in the first complete recording of Lucia di Lammermoor, opposite Mercedes Capsir. He married the lyric soprano Toti Dal Monte in Sydney, Australia, during a 1928 operatic tour. The wedding party created international headlines when it gave the Fascist salute on the steps of St Mary's Cathedral. He died in 1952, aged 49, in Naples, from undisclosed causes.

Il palazzo di quattro piani stato edificato negli anni '50 circa. Le parti comuni sono ben tenute. L'appartamento posto all' ultimo piano gode della doppia esposizione, risulta arioso e luminoso. L'accesso avviene direttamente sull' ingresso che disimpegna gli ambienti. La zona giorno con angolo cottura dispone del balcone, le sue dimensioni permettono di ospitare al suo interno un piano cottura con i relativi pensili, un tavolo e il divano. La zona notte dispone di due camere da letto, entrambe dal taglio regolare. Il bagno con finestra stato ristrutturato e munito di sanitari e vasca. Al piano interrato la relativa cantina di pertinenza completa la propriet. Gli infissi sono stati tutti sostituiti e muniti dei doppi vetri, le porta interne sono in legno e vetro opaco. Prevalentemente la casa si presenta nel suo stato originario, la buona conservazione per permette da subito la vivibilit. Il riscaldamento centralizzato dotato delle termovalvole per il risparmio energetico.
