We're Kyle & Olivia - two millennials that decided we'd rather travel fulltime in our vintage camper than work endless jobs in the service industry. After a year of planning, we began our nomadic journey in September 2015.

As I got closer to Fairhope, the scenery became stunningly beautiful, even idyllic. The streets were lined with massive Oak, Cypress and Maple trees each woven with a confetti of ivy (or the like). The sun had a difficult time piercing through the denseness that blanketed the trees, but when it did, the sun-flares sparkled in a way that made me feel like I was driving through the scene straight out of a fairy tale storybook. The coast was dotted with docks and boathouses, one right after the other. The homes were finely crafted in a style that could best be described as southern cottage.

Fairhope, Alabama
Fairhope is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States, on a sloping plateau, along the cliffs and shoreline of Mobile Bay. The 2010 census lists the population of the city as 15,326. Fairhope is a principal city of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley micropolitan area, which includes all of Baldwin County. In 2007, Fairhope was named the second best small town in the south by Southern Living magazine.
Geography
Fairhope is located in southwestern Baldwin County at 30°31'35.018" North, 87°53'44.473" West (30.526394, -87.895687), on the shore of Mobile Bay. It is located 6 miles (10 km) south of Daphne and 10 miles (16 km) south of Spanish Fort. U.S. Route 98 (Greeno Road) runs north-south through the city.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 12.0 square miles (31.1 km2), of which 0.019 square miles (0.05 km2), or 0.16%, is water. Its elevation ranges from sea level at the bay to 122 feet (37 m) in the city center.
History
Fairhope was founded in November 1894 on the site of former Alabama City as a radical Georgist "Single-Tax" colony by the Fairhope Industrial Association, a group of 28 followers of economist Henry George who had incorporated earlier that year in Des Moines, Iowa. Their corporate constitution explained their purpose in founding a new colony:

Comme l'année passée on va avoir un tas d'idées
Des marquises, des fées, des cow-boys, des plombiers
Des douzaines d'infirmières et 53 sapeurs pompiers
Des plus mal observés a ceux qui auraient pu mieux faire
On prépare la soirée dans une ambiance du tonnerre
Y'a toujours un malin pour se déguiser en mouche
En cuvette de WC ou en escargot qui louche
Ceux la 'faut qu'ils expliquent car c'est pas très évident
Aux amis étonnés l'idée de leur déguisement
Au cours de la soirée on tombe souvent nez a nez
Avec un faux Coluche qui essaye de vous faire marrer
Y'a toujours un public pour ce genre de rigolo
Qui s'étrangle de rire en s'empiffrant de p'tits gâteaux
Dans un p'tit canapé un groupe de gens pas déguisés
Prétend avec fierté qu'il n'aime pas ces festivités
N'empêche qu'ils sont partout faisant chaque fois acte de présence
C'est les mieux déguisés dans leur tenue de suffisance
On apporte le dessert 'faut éteindre toutes les lumières
Car en plus aujourd'hui on célèbre un anniversaire
En soufflant les bougies on fait voler le sucre glace
Qu'un genre d'Henry Guybet va recevoir en pleine face
Quand la fête est finie il reste toujours quelques amis
Pleins de bonne volonté pour vous aider a nettoyer
Il faut se dépêcher car demain on va au boulot
Samedi tout l'monde revient pour la super soirée diapos
