WDG3A longest Duronto, 12284 Nizamuddin Ernakulam Duronto snakes onto the Ulhas river bridge.
WDG3A ERS 13145.
The Ulhas river originates near Karjat in the Western ghats and flows westward through Raigad and Thane districts of Maharashtra between Kulgaon-Badlapur, North to Ulhasnagar (to which it gives its name) and on to Kalyan, where it turns west to Thane.
Later the river meets Barvi river. The confluence is a tourist and fishing hub for villagers around. At Thane the river splits into two branches which flow West and South, respectively, around Salsette Island, on which lies the metropolis of Mumbai. Both branches are estuarine, and lie on seismic fault lines.
The main branch turns northwestward to Ghodbunder, where it opens into the estuary of Vasai Creek. Thane Creek flows South to empty into Bombay Harbour. The estuary of the Ulhas is the site of historical ports of Kalyan, Kopri and Sopara.
The longest running Duronto connects Ernakulam and Nizamuddin, covering a distance of 2943 km in about 41.50 hrs. Belongs to Northern Railway.
Runs weekly. 12283 departs ERS Tuesdays and 12284 departs NZM Saturdays.
12283 technical halts - Kozhikode, Mangalore, Madgaon, Ratnagiri, Panvel, Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota.
12284 has technical halts at Surat and Vasai Road also.

I had been to Ulhas River Bridge on Diva - Vasai Road section of Central Railway to enjoy a dusk and late evening session with Pradeep Galgali. The description can be read as follows;
1) Vasai Road Panvel Memu skipping a Level Crossing Gate between Kopar and Ulhas River bridge
2) 19311 Pune Indore Express with a BRC WAP-4E# 22704 comes out of Ulhas River Bridge and bends a sharp curve towards Bhiwandi. You can see vehicles on Mumbai - Nashik Expressway in the end.
3) Colourful freight train (Concor Load) behind twin WAG-5 locomotives bend a sharp curve and disappear in Ulhas River bridge at dusk.
4) Its become almost dark and Okha Tuticorin Vivek Express with VTA WDM-3A speeds near Ulhas River Bridge.
5) Watching a freight train in darkness, some light of Ulhas Bridge cabin with Moon rise was fun.
6) 12431 Thiruvananthapuram Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express speeds through Ulhas bridge cabin at good speed.
7) Vasai Road Diva DEMU accelerates at Ulhas River Bridge and thunders too with a coverage of moon and river body. It was great sitting on the balcony for 15-20mins in pin drop silent location. Felt really peaceful and calm at this location at night.

Ulhas River
The Ulhas River is an important west flowing river in Western India in the state of Maharashtra draining an area 4,637 km2 in size.
Origin
The Ulhas River originates in a valley north of the Rajmachi hills formed by mountain streams draining the northern slope of those hills which are part of the Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats in the Raigad district of Maharashtra.
Course
From the point of origin the river flows north turning left where it is joined by River Salpe,its right-bank tributary. It then begins its north-eastward journey and passes the Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy which is situated on its right bank at Khandpe village. The river bypasses the Palasdhari village where it receives the discharge from the Palasdhari Dam starting a northward course beyond this point coming to lie parallel to the rail tracks only to be distracted by the town of Karjat. Meandering through Karjat, it reaches further north synapsing with River Peg between Bhivpuri Road and Neral. Continuing its run along Neral it is joined by River Poshir,another right-bank tributary at Nikhop village. It flows north skirting Badlapur where it receives the run-off from Chikoli Dam. Near Raw water pump house of MIDC Jambhul the river meets Barvi Dam discharge water also called as Barvi River. The confluence is a tourist and fishing hub for villagers around. The river flows through Ulhasnagar to which it gives its name.It then passes under the rail bridge connecting Ambivali and Shahad and shortly after confluences with its biggest tributary formed by merging of River Bhatsa and River Kalu which together account for 55.7% of the total catchment area of River Ulhas.

Vasai Road railway station
Vasai Road Junction is a railway station on the Western line and Vasai Road - Diva - Panvel - Roha route of the Central Line, of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Vasai is a historical suburban town north of Mumbai and it is located in Palghar district. It is a much modern part of Vasai Taluka. It is a part of the new Vasai-Virar City.
Station layout
6 of the 7 platforms at Vasai Road are laid out side by side. Platform no. 1 at Vasai Road is constructed approximately 500 meters South of Platform 2 similar to platform 8 at Borivali. Vasai Road is an important cross over point between Western & Central railways in Mumbai as trains from Konkan region & Pune cross over to the Western Line here.
Platforms 2 - 5 handle the local trains in the up & down directions. Platform 6 & 7 handle outstation trains that have a halt at Vasai Road.They also handle two Rajdhani Express trains. Platform 1 is a dedicated platform to handle local trains that start/terminate at Vasai Road. Also platform 6 and 7 holds freight train for going towards diva.

2) 19311 Pune Indore Express with a BRC WAP-4E# 22704 comes out of Ulhas River Bridge and bends a sharp curve towards Bhiwandi. You can see vehicles on Mumbai - Nashik Expressway in the end.
3) Colourful freight train (Concor Load) behind twin WAG-5 locomotives bend a sharp curve and disappear in Ulhas River bridge at dusk.
4) Its become almost dark and Okha Tuticorin Vivek Express with VTA WDM-3A speeds near Ulhas River Bridge.
5) Watching a freight train in darkness, some light of Ulhas Bridge cabin with Moon rise was fun.
6) 12431 Thiruvananthapuram Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express speeds through Ulhas bridge cabin at good speed.
7) Vasai Road Diva DEMU accelerates at Ulhas River Bridge and thunders too with a coverage of moon and river body. It was great sitting on the balcony for 15-20mins in pin drop silent location. Felt really peaceful and calm at this location at night.

After walking Hundreds of steps for nearly 20-25mins, I reached Mumbra Devi Temple which is at a height of above 250m and top of the hill is nearly 290m. Its very close and right above Mumbra railway station of Mumbai Suburban Railway Network. I had been here a few months back in dry summer. I wanted to see and explore this mindblowing location in monsoon. Ghodbunder Fort is a fort located in Ghodbunder Village, Thane, Maharashtra, India, on the hill just south of the Ulhas River. It was built by the Portuguese, occupied by the Maratha Empire, and became the East India Company's district headquarters. The place was called as Ghodbunder because in was where the Portuguese used to trade for ghode (horses) with the Arabs. Hence the name Ghodbunder: ghode (horses) & bunder (port).The fort is on google map now.
In 1530 the Portuguese came to Thane, and they began fortifying the hill area about 1550, but completion of the fort in its current form was in 1730. The Portuguese name for the fort was Cacabe de Tanna. It was under Portuguese rule until 1737. The Portuguese built a church in the fort that still stands, and is now used as a hotel. Two angels engraved on the inside wall of the church still remains. The old church can be seen clearly in the background of the courtyard photo.
There are many old maps and texts which mention continual attempts by the Marathas to capture this fort. The Portuguese were able to defend Ghodbunder Fort from these attacks successfully for many years, including the attack in 1672 by the forces of King Shivaji. However, the Marathas under Chimnaji Appa successfully besieged the fort and took it over from the Portuguese in 1737. Following its capture, King Sambhaji ordered the strengthening of the fortifications, initiating the construction of the tower.
In 1818, the British occupied the fort and made it the headquarters of the district administration for the East Indian Company, with a district collector stationed in Thane.
Currently the fort lies in ruins, but there has been some renovation work started by the Government to preserve it. The fort itself is under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
In movie Don (1978), the shooting of scene of capturing of injured Amitabh Bachchan (Vijay) by police ,is completed at this fort.

Nandini still wants to help Rishi locate Stephen and Robert. Rishi bribes Nanu's henchmen to stop protecting Nanu. Rishi tells his henchmen including Raju to take Nandini back to her home. Rishi tortures Nanu, until Nanu agrees to lure Stephen and Robert into a trap. Stephen and Robert arrive in a helicopter. It's revealed that Stephen and Robert sent 2 henchmen to disguise themselves as Stephen and Robert. Nanu and his henchmen didn't expect Stephen and Robert to fool Rishi. Nanu's glad that Stephen and Robert fooled Rishi. Rishi realizes that his bodyguards including Raju and Nandini got kidnapped by the bad guys. Robert calls Rishi's cell phone. Robert says, "My informer followed Nanu for these past 2 years just in case if you tried to locate me. My informer told me that you kidnapped Nanu and I sent my henchmen to kidnap Raju, Nandini, and your other bodyguards." Rishi gets taken to his old home. Rest of Rishi's bodyguards got killed. Nandini and Raju are still alive. Robert kills Raju. Rishi manages to kill Stephen, Stephen's henchmen, Stephen's hot female bodyguards, Robert, and Robert's son in a violent manner. Rishi reunites with Nandini.
