The video begins with a moving song which tells us that our "hands are the Lord's hands", and asks for His help for living in peace with our neighbors. Suddenly, we are in a room with Jesus and His Disciples. He tells them that many people have desired salvation. In a corner of the room, two men are in deep discussion. One of them, a lawyer, challenges Jesus to tell him what is to be done to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells the story of a man who needed to travel a dangerous road to Jericho to buy spices. We are transported by Jesus' words to a wayside inn. The innkeeper's young son overhears two robbers plotting to steal from people on the road. The scene shifts to the home of Jewish spice merchant. His wife worries about his trip to Jericho. But he must make the journey, so he bids his family farewell. On a isolated, mountainous road, the two robbers hide among the rocks. Soon the spice merchant comes into view. The robbers steal his gold and leave him for dead on the deserted road. Not long after this, a priest finds the abused man. He expresses regret, saying that if he were not "on the Lord's business" he would stop and help him. Next a Levite finds the dying man, but he is only concerned with his own safety and runs to avoid the robbers. Then a Samaritan tells the innkeeper's son, "I just did what anyone would do." He leaves money for the injured man's care. Watching all this, the young boy knows that the Samaritan is truly the good neighbor to his fellow man.

The Samaritans (Samaritan Hebrew: שוֹמְרִים Samerim "Guardians/Keepers/Watchers [of the Law/Torah]", Jewish Hebrew: שומרונים Shomronim, Arabic: السامريون Sāmeriyyūn) are an ethnoreligious group of the Levant, descended from ancient Semitic inhabitants of the region.
The Samaritans are adherents of Samaritanism, an Abrahamic religion closely related to Judaism. Based on the Samaritan Pentateuch,[4] Samaritans say that their worship is the true religion of the ancient Israelites prior to the Babylonian Exile, preserved by those who remained in the Land of Israel, as opposed to Judaism, which they say is a related but altered and amended religion, brought back by those returning from the Babylonian exile.
Ancestrally, Samaritans claim descent from the Israelite tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh (the two sons of Joseph (son of Jacob)) as well as from the priestly tribe of Levi,[1] who have links to ancient Samaria from the period of their entry into the land of Canaan, while some suggest that it was from the beginning of the Babylonian Exile up to the Samaritan polity of Baba Rabba. Samaritans used to include a line of Benjamin tribe, but it went extinct during the decline period of the Samaritan demographics. The split between them and their brothers; the children of Judah (the Jews) began during the time of Eli the priest, and the culmination was during the Kingdom of Israel and Kingdom of Judah when the Samaritans (then Kingdom of Israel) refused to accept Jerusalem as the elect, and remained on Mount Gerizim.[5] The Samaritans say that Mount Gerizim was the original Holy Place of Israel from the time that Joshua conquered Israel. The major issue between Jews and Samaritans has always been the location of the chosen place to worship God; Jerusalem according to the Jewish faith or Mount Gerizim according to the Samaritan version.[6]
In the Talmud, a central post-exilic religious text of Judaism, the Samaritans are called Cutheans (Hebrew: כותים, Kutim), referring to the ancient city of Kutha, geographically located in what is today Iraq.[7] In the biblical account, however, Cuthah was one of several cities from which people were brought to Samaria,[8] and they worshiped Nergal.[9][10] Modern genetics suggests some truth to both the claims of the Samaritans and the account in the Talmud.[11]
Once a large community of over a million in late Roman times, the Samaritans shrank to several tens of thousands in the wake of the bloody suppression of the Third Samaritan Revolt (529 AD) against the Byzantine Christian rulers and unfortunately mass conversion to Islam in the Early Muslim period .
As of January 1, 2012, the population was 751,[1] divided between Kiryat Luza on Mount Gerizim and the city of Holon, just outside Tel Aviv.[14][15] Most Samaritans in Israel and the West Bank today speak Hebrew and Arabic . For liturgical purposes, Samaritan Hebrew, Samaritan Aramaic, and Samaritan Arabic are used, all written in the Samaritan alphabet, a variant of the Old Hebrew alphabet, which is distinct from the Hebrew alphabet. Hebrew and later Aramaic were languages in use by the Jewish and Samaritan inhabitants of Judea prior to the Roman exile.
Samaritanism
The Samaritan religion is based on some of the same books used as the basis of mainstream Judaism, but differs from the latter. Samaritan scriptures include the Samaritan version of the Torah, the Memar Markah, the Samaritan liturgy, and Samaritan law codes and biblical commentaries. Samaritans appear to have texts of the Torah as old as the Masoretic Text and the Septuagint; scholars have various theories concerning the actual relationships between these three texts.

Directed by Joshua Rash, this short film was made for Christian Life Center's youth group, Acts 29. It was made on no budget and most of the filming was completed in one day. A lot of work was put into the making of this film by everyone involved, so I hope that you enjoy the film and feel convicted by its message.

Plot: Chuck is a killer who picks up innocent hitchhikers and murders them, leaving their bodies on the side of the highway like road kill. Rayne is a hitchhiking serial killer, who slaughters those that pick her up. When these two meet up, sparks fly, worlds collide...people die. Their initial encounter leaves Chuck with a serious limp and Rayne nearly unconscious. She is almost run over by Rebecca, a young girl on a cross-country trek to get back home. Believing Rayne to have been in an accident, Rebecca offers to help. Rayne accepts the ride, but refuses the help before passing out in Rebecca's car. Meanwhile, infuriated that she's stealing his thunder, Chuck begins pursuing Rayne, unaware that Rebecca has taken her in. At first too weak to act out her homicidal tendencies, Rayne becomes Rebecca's fellow traveler, and learns the reasons for her journey. Rayne finds herself torn between wanting to add Rebecca to her death list and becoming her mentor. Hot on her trail, Chuck unleashes a path of destruction, killing anyone who gets in his way and one ill-fated victim who had the unfortunate luck of resembling Rayne. Frustrated by her feelings for Rebecca, Rayne takes it out on a few hapless victims of her own, all the while keeping her true nature a secret from her road partner. When Rebecca offers to take Rayne home and begin a new life together, Rayne finds herself tempted. They say dead men tell no tales, but unfortunately one of Rayne's victims does. A news report about a recent murder shows a picture of the deceased, and Rebecca recognizes the man as someone who had antagonized them earlier. Faced with the truth and unable to handle it, Rebecca leaves but is kidnapped by Chuck, who has finally caught up to them. Chuck calls Rayne and using Rebecca as bait, challenges her to a showdown to determine just whom the road belongs to. The battle that ensues is one for the ages, a blood fest that will leave all three of them changed forever.

The executive starts noticing that all the obstacles to his climb up the corporate ladder are disappearing, including the death of some of his rivals. When his regular admin returns to work, his temp, who has made it clear that she wishes to stay with him, begins her own accelerated climb up the ladder, and he begins wondering if she was responsible for the removal of the obstacles.

A dark, modern take on the parable of the Good Samaritan Directed by Joshua Rash, this short film was made for Christian Life Center's youth group, Acts 29. It was made on no budget and most of the filming was completed in one day. Next a Levite finds the dying man, but he is only concerned with his own safety and runs to avoid the robbers. Then a Samaritan tells the innkeeper's son, "I just did what anyone would do." He leaves money for the injured man's care. Watching all this, the young boy knows that the Samaritan is truly the good neighbor to his fellow man.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host , and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

The split between them and their brothers; the children of Judah (the Jews) began during the time of Eli the priest, and the culmination was during the Kingdom of Israel and Kingdom of Judah when the Samaritans (then Kingdom of Israel) refused to accept Jerusalem as the elect, and remained on Mount Gerizim.[5] The Samaritans say that Mount Gerizim was the original Holy Place of Israel from the time that Joshua conquered Israel. The major issue between Jews and Samaritans has always been the location of the chosen place to worship God; Jerusalem according to the Jewish faith or Mount Gerizim according to the Samaritan version.[6]
In the Talmud, a central post-exilic religious text of Judaism, the Samaritans are called Cutheans (Hebrew: כותים, Kutim), referring to the ancient city of Kutha, geographically located in what is today Iraq.[7] In the biblical account, however, Cuthah was one of several cities from which people were brought to Samaria,[8] and they worshiped Nergal.[9][10] Modern genetics suggests some truth to both the claims of the Samaritans and the account in the Talmud.[11]
Once a large community of over a million in late Roman times, the Samaritans shrank to several tens of thousands in the wake of the bloody suppression of the Third Samaritan Revolt (529 AD) against the Byzantine Christian rulers and unfortunately mass conversion to Islam in the Early Muslim period .
As of January 1, 2012, the population was 751,[1] divided between Kiryat Luza on Mount Gerizim and the city of Holon, just outside Tel Aviv.[14][15] Most Samaritans in Israel and the West Bank today speak Hebrew and Arabic . For liturgical purposes, Samaritan Hebrew, Samaritan Aramaic, and Samaritan Arabic are used, all written in the Samaritan alphabet, a variant of the Old Hebrew alphabet, which is distinct from the Hebrew alphabet. Hebrew and later Aramaic were languages in use by the Jewish and Samaritan inhabitants of Judea prior to the Roman exile.
