theluciddreamsite.com Propranolol, AKA Inderal (which I mistakenly call Inedral in this video) was the first successful Beta-Blocker, a drug used to reduce the action of epinephrine on the sympathetic nervous system. Propranolol is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension, irregular heart rhythms, various types of headaches, and tremors. Off-label use is common for treating stage-fright by musicians and other performances. Shaky hands due to nervousness are also temporarily steadied by taking Propranolol, and for this reason is used by athletes in high-level competition and by doctors during surgery. There are many other potential uses being investigated, including the administration of Propranolol immediately after a traumatic event, to ameliorate the later progression of PTSD. Because Propranolol reduces activity in the Amygdala and prevents the excessively high pulse-rate associated with nightmares, there is potential for experimenting with this chemical for lucid dream induction. I have coined the term "Dream-Flipping" to describe the combination of Propranolol with Galantamine - together, these two can increase the density of dreaming while reduce the fear-based, reactionary nature of normal dream consciousness. Both of these chemicals are powerful and should not be taken lightly; Propranolol is a prescription medication and should only be considered with the advice of your doctor.

Propranolol, AKA Inderal (which I mistakenly call Inedral in this video) was the first successful Beta-Blocker, a drug used to reduce the action of epinephrine on the sympathetic nervous system. Propranolol is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension, irregular heart rhythms, various types of headaches, and tremors. Off-label use is common for treating stage-fright by musicians and other performances. Shaky hands due to nervousness are also temporarily steadied by taking Propranolol, and for this reason is used by athletes in high-level competition and by doctors during surgery.
There are many other potential uses being investigated, including the administration of Propranolol immediately after a traumatic event, to ameliorate the later progression of PTSD. Because Propranolol reduces activity in the Amygdala and prevents the excessively high pulse-rate associated with nightmares, there is potential for experimenting with this chemical for lucid dream induction.
I have coined the term "Dream-Flipping" to describe the combination of Propranolol with Galantamine - together, these two can increase the density of dreaming while reduce the fear-based, reactionary nature of normal dream consciousness. Both of these chemicals are powerful and should not be taken lightly; Propranolol is a prescription medication and should only be considered with the advice of your doctor.

Propranolol (INN) is a sympatholytic non-selective beta blocker. Sympatholytics are used to treat hypertension, anxiety and panic. It was the first successful beta blocker developed. Propranolol is available in generic form as propranolol hydrochloride, as well as an AstraZeneca and Wyeth product under the brand names Inderal, Inderal LA, Avlocardyl, Deralin, Dociton, Inderalici, InnoPran XL, Sumial, Anaprilinum, Bedranol SR (Sandoz).
Like other beta blockers, propranolol is a banned substance in several Olympic sports.
Scottish scientist James W. Black successfully developed propranolol in the 1960s. In 1988, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for this discovery. Propranolol was derived from the early β-adrenergic antagonists dichloroisoprenaline and pronethalol. The key structural modification, which was carried through to essentially all subsequent beta blockers, was the insertion of an oxymethylene group into the arylethanolamine structure of pronethalol thus greatly increasing the potency of the compound. This also apparently eliminated the carcinogenicity found with pronethalol in animal models.
