Masjid Sultan, named for Sultan Hussein Shah, the largest mosque (for 5000 worshippers) located at Muscat Street and North Bridge Road, near Bussorah Mall, in Singapore originally built in 1825, replaced by golden-dome building 100 years later, designed by Denis Santry.

The original building was torn down a century later to make way for the current mosque which was completed in 1932. Masjid Sultan is considered the national mosque of Singapore.

On 29 January 1819, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles landed on the main island. Spotting its potential as a strategic geographical trading post in Southeast Asia, Raffles signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on behalf of the British East India Company on 6 February 1819 to develop the southern part of Singapore as a British trading post and settlement. Until August 1824, Singapore was still a territory controlled by a Malay Sultan. Singapore only officially became a British colony in August 1824 when the British extended control over the whole island. John Crawfurd, the second resident of Singapore, was the one who officially made Singapore a British possession. He signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on 2 August 1824 in which the Sultan and the Temmenggong handed over the whole island to the British East India Company thus marking the start of the island's modern era. Raffles's deputy, William Farquhar, oversaw a period of growth and ethnic migration, which was largely spurred by a no-restriction immigration policy. The British India office governed the island from 1858, but Singapore was made a British crown colony in 1867, answerable directly to the Crown. By 1869, 100,000 lived on the island.
The early onset of town planning in colonial Singapore came largely through a "divide and rule" framework where the different ethnic groups were settled in different parts of the South of the island. The Singapore River was largely a commercial area that was dominated by traders and bankers of various ethnic groups with mostly Chinese and Indian coolies working to load and unload goods from barge boats known locally as "bumboats". The Malays, consisting of the local "Orang Lauts" who worked mostly as fishermen and seafarers, and Arab traders and scholars were mostly found in the South-east part of the river mouth, where Kampong Glam stands today. The European settlers, who were few then, settled around Fort Canning Hill and further upstream from the Singapore River. Like the Europeans, the early Indian migrants also settled more inland of the Singapore River, where Little India stands today. Very little is known about the rural private settlements in those times (known as kampongs), other than the major move by the post-independent Singapore government to re-settle these residents in the late 1960s.

Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi was born in Lahore Pakistan; his father Allama Pir Talib Husain Shah (May Allah send mercy upon him) was also very popular Khateeb in Pakistan.
Allama Naeemi completed his primary and secondary education in Jamia Naeemiyah Lahore. He graduated with a B.A from the University of Punjab, after which he was accepted as a student at the Islamic Naeemiyah University. After completing B.Ed, from Allama Iqbal University Islamabad, he graduated with a MA from the College of Hadith and Islamic Sciences Tanzeem-ul-Madaaris Karachi and MOL Muslim oriental law. Thereafter, he completed a M.A. in Islamic Theology from the Punjab University. Allama Dr. Safaraaz Naeemi Motivated him to get Islamic Knowledge, so Allama Dr. Sarfarz Naeemi Shahid was his First teacher .Dr sahib taught him Arabic Morphology and Arabic syntax. Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi started to deliver lecture when he was 19 years old and in 1998 he went to Dubai for speech. He did Umrah in 1998 and in 1999 he performed Hajj by Road. He gave speeches in Makah and Madinah. In June of 1999, the American Muslim of New York invited him to give speech on Milad Jaloos. Next year in June of 2000, Allama Naeemi Again Invited for lecture, giving lectures in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, charlotte, Michigan, California san Francisco, live oak, Chicago, Florida, Dallas And Houston. So Houstonians requested him to stay permanently. Since September 7, 2000 till now (21’February 2014) he has been in one mosque named MASJID Ghous-e Azam Humble 5511 FM 1960 77338 (It is Allah’s mercy). 28th February 2014 he started giving Friday khutbah in Irving.
He visited many countries to propagate Islam including, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Canada (Calgary, Toronto and Montreal), Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, and Oman and continues to visit more.
Spiritual guidance:-
First Khilafah he received from His Father Pir Talib Husain Shah (May Allah send mercy on him) this ceremony was held in Nonariyan (Multan road Lahore) and at that time a popular speaker named Syed Yaqoob Shah of Phaliyah gave Jubbah Cloak to Allama Naeemi. Second Pir Syed Raza Shah Gilani of Pir Kot Shareef (May Allaah send mercy on him) gave khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi.
Third Sheikh Ul Islam Allama Pir Syed Madni Miyan Sajjadah Nasheen Astana Aaliyah Kachocha Shareef India gave khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi on August 26, 2001 in America. Fourth Pir-e-Tareeqat Hazrat Zubair Naqshbandi Malki Attaasi Alvee Gave Khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar shah, in 2008. Till June 2013, 36 people have accepted Islam through him.
Activities
In America Masjid Ghouse Azam Houston Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi Ashrafi started his career on September 7, 2000 and with the mercy of Allaah. He has given lectures since 2002 till February 2014 on the radio before Maghreb Azaan. When they merged into Minhaj-ul-Quran, Allama Naeemi Resigned. Now from 28th February 2014 he started giving lecture in Barakat-ul-Quran Center Madrasah Naeemiyah Irving and on radio 1110 -7-30 AM. In Ramadan Allama sahib gives 90 lectures: one during the morning on the radio, second before Maghreb Azaan on the radio and third after Taraaveeh at the mosque and by end of the Month of Ramadan, the total reaches to at least 90 lectures.

Spotting its potential as a strategic geographical trading post in Southeast Asia, Raffles signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on behalf of the British East India Company on 6 February 1819 to develop the southern part of Singapore as a British trading post and settlement. Until August 1824, Singapore was still a territory controlled by a Malay Sultan. Singapore only officially became a British colony in August 1824 when the British extended control over the whole island. John Crawfurd, the second resident of Singapore, was the one who officially made Singapore a British possession. He signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on 2 August 1824 in which the Sultan and the Temmenggong handed over the whole island to the British East India Company thus marking the start of the island's modern era. Raffles's deputy, William Farquhar, oversaw a period of growth and ethnic migration, which was largely spurred by a no-restriction immigration policy. The British India office governed the island from 1858, but Singapore was made a British crown colony in 1867, answerable directly to the Crown. By 1869, 100,000 lived on the island. The early onset of town planning in colonial Singapore came largely through a "divide and rule" framework where the different ethnic groups were settled in different parts of the South of the island. The Singapore River was largely a commercial area that was dominated by traders and bankers of various ethnic groups with mostly Chinese and Indian coolies working to load and unload goods from barge boats known locally as "bumboats". The Malays, consisting of the local "Orang Lauts" who worked mostly as fishermen and seafarers, and Arab traders and scholars were mostly found in the South-east part of the river mouth, where Kampong Glam stands today. The European settlers, who were few then, settled around Fort Canning Hill and further upstream from the Singapore River. Like the Europeans, the early Indian migrants also settled more inland of the Singapore River, where Little India stands today. Very little is known about the rural private settlements in those times (known as kampongs), other than the major move by the post-independent Singapore government to re-settle these residents in the late 1960s. -

Allama Naeemi completed his primary and secondary education in Jamia Naeemiyah Lahore. He graduated with a B.A from the University of Punjab, after which he was accepted as a student at the Islamic Naeemiyah University. He gave speeches in Makah and Madinah. In June of 1999, the American Muslim of New York invited him to give speech on Milad Jaloos. Next year in June of 2000, Allama Naeemi Again Invited for lecture, giving lectures in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, charlotte, Michigan, California san Francisco, live oak, Chicago, Florida, Dallas And Houston. So Houstonians requested him to stay permanently. Since September 7, 2000 till now (21’February 2014) he has been in one mosque named MASJID Ghous-e Azam Humble 5511 FM 1960 77338 (It is Allah’s mercy). 28th February 2014 he started giving Friday khutbah in Irving. He visited many countries to propagate Islam including, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Canada (Calgary, Toronto and Montreal), Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, and Oman and continues to visit more. Masjid Sultan, named for Sultan Hussein Shah, the largest mosque (for 5000 worshippers) located at Muscat Street and North Bridge Road, near Bussorah Mall, in Singapore originally built in 1825, replaced by golden-dome building 100 years later, designed by Denis Santry. On 29 January 1819, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles landed on the main island. Spotting its potential as a strategic geographical trading post in Southeast Asia, Raffles signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on behalf of the British East India Company on 6 February 1819 to develop the southern part of Singapore as a British trading post and settlement. Until August 1824, Singapore was still a territory controlled by a Malay Sultan. Singapore only officially became a British colony in August 1824 when the British extended control over the whole island. John Crawfurd, the second resident of Singapore, was the one who officially made Singapore a British possession. He signed a treaty with Sultan Hussein Shah on 2 August 1824 in which the Sultan and the Temmenggong handed over the whole island to the British East India Company thus marking the start of the island's modern era. Raffles's deputy, William Farquhar, oversaw a period of growth and ethnic migration, which was largely spurred by a no-restriction immigration policy. The British India office governed the island from 1858, but Singapore was made a British crown colony in 1867, answerable directly to the Crown. By 1869, 100,000 lived on the island.
The early onset of town planning in colonial Singapore came largely through a "divide and rule" framework where the different ethnic groups were settled in different parts of the South of the island. The Singapore River was largely a commercial area that was dominated by traders and bankers of various ethnic groups with mostly Chinese and Indian coolies working to load and unload goods from barge boats known locally as "bumboats". The Malays, consisting of the local "Orang Lauts" who worked mostly as fishermen and seafarers, and Arab traders and scholars were mostly found in the South-east part of the river mouth, where Kampong Glam stands today. The European settlers, who were few then, settled around Fort Canning Hill and further upstream from the Singapore River. Like the Europeans, the early Indian migrants also settled more inland of the Singapore River, where Little India stands today. Very little is known about the rural private settlements in those times (known as kampongs), other than the major move by the post-independent Singapore government to re-settle these residents in the late 1960s.

Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi was born in Lahore Pakistan; his father Allama Pir Talib Husain Shah (May Allah send mercy upon him) was also very popular Khateeb in Pakistan.
Allama Naeemi completed his primary and secondary education in Jamia Naeemiyah Lahore. He graduated with a B.A from the University of Punjab, after which he was accepted as a student at the Islamic Naeemiyah University. After completing B.Ed, from Allama Iqbal University Islamabad, he graduated with a MA from the College of Hadith and Islamic Sciences Tanzeem-ul-Madaaris Karachi and MOL Muslim oriental law. Thereafter, he completed a M.A. in Islamic Theology from the Punjab University. Allama Dr. Safaraaz Naeemi Motivated him to get Islamic Knowledge, so Allama Dr. Sarfarz Naeemi Shahid was his First teacher .Dr sahib taught him Arabic Morphology and Arabic syntax. Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi started to deliver lecture when he was 19 years old and in 1998 he went to Dubai for speech. He did Umrah in 1998 and in 1999 he performed Hajj by Road. He gave speeches in Makah and Madinah. In June of 1999, the American Muslim of New York invited him to give speech on Milad Jaloos. Next year in June of 2000, Allama Naeemi Again Invited for lecture, giving lectures in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, charlotte, Michigan, California san Francisco, live oak, Chicago, Florida, Dallas And Houston. So Houstonians requested him to stay permanently. Since September 7, 2000 till now (21’February 2014) he has been in one mosque named MASJID Ghous-e Azam Humble 5511 FM 1960 77338 (It is Allah’s mercy). 28th February 2014 he started giving Friday khutbah in Irving.
He visited many countries to propagate Islam including, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Canada (Calgary, Toronto and Montreal), Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, and Oman and continues to visit more.

He has given lectures since 2002 till February 2014 on the radio before Maghreb Azaan. When they merged into Minhaj-ul-Quran, Allama Naeemi Resigned. Now from 28th February 2014 he started giving lecture in Barakat-ul-Quran Center Madrasah Naeemiyah Irving and on radio 1110 -7-30 AM. Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi started to deliver lecture when he was 19 years old and in 1998 he went to Dubai for speech. He did Umrah in 1998 and in 1999 he performed Hajj by Road. He gave speeches in Makah and Madinah. In June of 1999, the American Muslim of New York invited him to give speech on MiladJaloos. Next year in June of 2000, Allama Naeemi Again Invited for lecture, giving lectures in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, charlotte, Michigan,California san Francisco, live oak, Chicago, Florida, Dallas And Houston. So Houstonians requested him to stay permanently. Since September 7, 2000 till now (September 7th 2013) he has been in one mosque named MASJID Ghous-e Azam Humble 5511 fm 1960 77338 (It is Allah's mercy).
He visited many countries to propagate Islam including, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Canada (Calgary, Toronto and Montreal), Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, and Oman and continues to visit more.

First Khalifah he received from His Father PirTalib Husain Shah (May Allaah send mercy on him) this ceremony was held in Nonariyan(Multan road Lahore) and at that time a popular speaker named Syed Yaqoob Shah of Phaliyah gave Jubbah Cloak to Allama Naeemi. Second Pir Syed Raza Shah Gilani of PirKot Shareef (May Allaah send mercy on him) gave khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi.

In Ramadan Allama sahib gives 90 lectures: one during the morning on the radio, second before Maghrib Azaan on the radio and third after Taraaveeh at the mosque and by end of the Month of Ramadan, the total reaches to at least 90 lectures. In last 10 years, (till February 2012 ) 25 people have accepted Islam through him. Allama Sheikh ul Hadith Ziya ul Mustafa Amjadi sahib gave him Ijaza permit to narrate the Ahadith with all chains. In 2011 Syed Shah Turab-ul- Haqq taught him Hadith and took him as his student.

First Khalifah he received from His Father Pir Talib Husain Shah (May Allaah send mercy on him) this ceremony was held in Nonariyan(Multan road Lahore) and at that time a popular speaker named Syed Yaqoob Shah of Phaliyah gave Jubbah Cloak to Allama Naeemi. Second Pir Syed Raza Shah Gilani of Pir Kot Shareef (May Allaah send mercy on him) gave khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar shah Naeemi Ashrafi.
Third Sheikh Ul Islam Allama Pir Syed Madni Miyan Sajjadah Nasheen Astana Aaliyah Kachocha Shareef India gave khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi on August 26, 2001 in America. Fourth Pir Tareeqat Teacher of Teachers Hazrat Allama Zubair Naqshbandi Malki Attaasi Alvee Gave Khilaafat to Allama Mukhtar shah, in 2008.
Activities
In America Allama Mukhtar Shah Naeemi Ashrafi started his career on September 7, 2000 and with the mercy of Allaah he is still there propagating Islam day and night. He has given lectures for 9 years (till february2012) on the radio before Maghreb Azaan. In Ramadan Allama sahib gives 90 lectures: one during the morning on the radio, second before Maghrib Azaan on the radio and third after Taraaveeh at the mosque and by end of the Month of Ramadan, the total reaches to at least 90 lectures. In last 10 years, (till February 2012 ) 25 people have accepted Islam through him. Allama Sheikh ul Hadith Ziya ul Mustafa Amjadi sahib gave him Ijaza permit to narrate the Ahadith with all chains. In 2011 Syed Shah Turab-ul- Haqq taught him Hadith and took him as his student.
