Having been launched at the Paris Motorshow during a private preview event, the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the press or public however I managed to stumble into the new super-convertible during the Hockenheim DTM weekend and that gave me an opportunity to take a first look around it and seek out some of the differences between the 'C' and my own future car, the AMG GT R Coupe.

It''s a double whammy this weekend as I've ordered the beast from the Green Hell; the new Mercedes AMG GT R! My car will be due for delivery in early 2017 but here we get to take a look at it during the public launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
I've had a soft spot for the Mercedes-AMG GT since it was launched two years ago and in fact I came very close to buying a GT S on two occasions but it wasn't quite there for me. The GT R adds a little more to what was already a great car and brings it completely up to a vehicle I'd like to enjoy for continental trips and adventures.
With a thunderous exhaust sound from the titanium exhaust and huge amounts of technology at play, I'm looking forward to sharing more with you about the GT R in due course.

We were lucky enough to attend the 2016 International Motor Press Association Test Days (IMPA) this year at Monticello Raceway. This is our brief track video footage of the insanely hot 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63S Coupe. Keep in mind, we were only allowed one hot lap on a track that we're not familiar with, in a car that we've never driven on a road course. The Mercedes-AMG C63S reminds you that tail out shenanigans is still part of the AMG way.

It''s a double whammy this weekend as I've ordered the beast from the Green Hell; the new Mercedes AMG GT R! My car will be due for delivery in early 2017 but here we get to take a look at it during the public launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. I've had a soft spot for the Mercedes-AMG GT since it was launched two years ago and in fact I came very close to buying a GT S on two occasions but it wasn't quite there for me. The GT R adds a little more to what was already a great car and brings it completely up to a vehicle I'd like to enjoy for continental trips and adventures. With a thunderous exhaust sound from the titanium exhaust and huge amounts of technology at play, I'm looking forward to sharing more with you about the GT R in due course. Having been launched at the Paris Motorshow during a private preview event, the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the press or public however I managed to stumble into the new super-convertible during the Hockenheim DTM weekend and that gave me an opportunity to take a first look around it and seek out some of the differences between the 'C' and my own future car, the AMG GT R Coupe. Having been launched at the Paris Motorshow during a private preview event, the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the press or public however I managed to stumble into the new super-convertible during the Hockenheim DTM weekend and that gave me an opportunity to take a first look around it and seek out some of the differences between the 'C' and my own future car, the AMG GT R Coupe.

It''s a double whammy this weekend as I've ordered the beast from the Green Hell; the new Mercedes AMG GT R! My car will be due for delivery in early 2017 but here we get to take a look at it during the public launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
I've had a soft spot for the Mercedes-AMG GT since it was launched two years ago and in fact I came very close to buying a GT S on two occasions but it wasn't quite there for me. The GT R adds a little more to what was already a great car and brings it completely up to a vehicle I'd like to enjoy for continental trips and adventures.
With a thunderous exhaust sound from the titanium exhaust and huge amounts of technology at play, I'm looking forward to sharing more with you about the GT R in due course.
